Lyrics:
You must all have a death wish
It's like you want to see your empire fall to decay and ruins. Everything you built, turn to sh--. well, if that's what you want, so be it
F--k... I'm cutting the brakes
No more holding back, I'm done with all these fakes
Unleashing my rage, let the chaos commence
No F--ks given, no more pretend
(They got nothing on me, yeahhh)
(They aren't nothing to me, yeahhh)
F--k
I'm nothing like them, I'm unstoppable
Their words are hollow, their threats laughable
I'll rise above the bullshi--, unbreakable
My will is iron, my resolve unshakable
F--k THEM ALL
I'm Cutting the brakes, I'm going offline
F--k your fake followers and your whiny little timeline
You're addicted to the dopamine, always keeping score
A slave to the likes, like a social media who--e
feeding society with your woke hypocrisy
You preach inclusion, but breed animosity!
Dividing us all, by color and race
You're an embarrassment, a disgrace
All I wanna do is punch you in the face
F--k
I'm nothing like them, I'm unstoppable
Their words are hollow, their threats are laughable
I'll rise above the bullshi--, unbreakable!
My will is iron, my resolve unshakable!!!
This world's a F--king circus, a clown's paradise
Where the stupid are kings, and the smart pay the price
(The games rigged, doesn't matter how many times you roll the dice)
Gluttony pigs all over the place
Rewarding the stupid, the dumb rat race
True genius is shunned, cast out in the cold
While the mindless and shallow, have all the gold
(They got nothing on me, yeahhh)
(They aren't nothing to me, yeahhh)
I'm nothing like them, I'm unstoppable
Their words are hollow, their threats laughable
I'll rise above the bullshi--, unbreakable
My will is iron, my resolve unshakable

Hell yes! Love the lyrics and quite relatable to feeling like this myself on a few levels ... Not only holding the mirror up but smashing it in their faces. Sometimes though we might catch a glimpse of ourselves in it despite our best efforts to maintain our own integrity... Because the game is rigged and we still "must" abide by the rules. Very thought provoking. 🖤🎶

Same way I feel my friend. Thanks for your thoughts as always. Yeah, the sentiment for me was that the system is rigged. Also seeing my industry (gaming) being replaced with diversity quotas was the conclusion to the feelings in this song. Discarded and overlooked is a feeling I think is becoming familiar to many in this modern society. 🖤

Grimfel('s) never ever failing to impress myself from your many talents, Adam.... !!!! I'm getting some NIN influences, because Trent would have also used these AI videos, if they had been available to himself at the time. Your undulating pace is extraordinary, plus your use of several vocal treatments is a rare thing to find, but your not just "anybody" my friend. Trent Reznor use to do everything himself, because he couldn't stand to be told what to do, or, how to do it, so ― "Grimfel Records, Inc." I'm thinking? As always the message is clear and an effective use of your many talents.... !!!! Remember we little people, when you start skyrocketing above us all. Damn, this is so beyond.

    • @Grimfel
      @Grimfel 7 днів тому

Thank you for your kind words, friend. NIN and Marilyn Manson have been the biggest influences to me with my music. Like you said, Trent did it all himself, not being content with the way others held his vision, that always inspired me down a path to use tools such as AI. Just like in 2005 when I used samples and loops for really early music. AI as much as the hate it gets helps achieve what my budget lacks. I think there will be resistance for people like me in this industry, already feeling this now with Spotify but I shall make the kind of music I love to make and never forget my roots. Thanks again, for your insights. 🖤

@@Grimfel Adam, you're not alone with your sentiments, I've never been conflicted with my personal music selections. In fact, artist's like yourself have spur me along over time and keep the eternal flame lit within my spirit. Everyone has a drug of choice, sort of speak, but music happens to be mine. Your use of various vocal treatments reminds me of Daniel Graves of 'Aesthetic Perfection' who use to be my neighbor in Southern California. Daniel's well known in Industrial/EBM/Aggrotech music circles for almost 30 years, but he too often uses different forms of vocal treatments within his music. When the pandemic lockdown happened, he went just a little stir-crazy, so he came up with "12 Songs in 12 Months". It damn near killed him, because of his OCD as well a manicall perfectionist, while your both on separate genre specific levels, he too is a DIY'er and bought his own music label, but he's also inspired by Reznor and Manson. I placed a link to one of his videos here for you. I hope that's alright? I hope you enjoy him: ua-cam.com/video/LvK1-dBWejA/v-deo.html

@@spinglasshydra Thanks for sharing Daniel Graves (Aesthetic Perfection) I have vaguely heard of his music. Incredible to say the least and exactly the kind I listen to. I can relate to that because I have a eye condition and it stopped me from my writing projects, so I dove back into music. I will always be independent because I just want to make music I'd listen to myself. I also get mixed reactions on the AI use so they assume its all AI. For the deeper voice (layered vocal fx) it's quite easy to achieve with EQ tweaking and filtering. As for the lighter vocals sometimes that will either be layered through AI itself (Mostly using Kits). I'll use all tools at my disposal as you say Reznor would. Art of War is entirely done through AI itself though with a lot of sweat and tweaking. Thank you for the link, straight to my playlist!

@@Grimfel I started to heavily sweat, because some people automatically delete anybody's commentary, if they set-up their UA-cam Studio parameters correctly and I've also gotten my ass chewed-out by some musicians (usually the more mainstream singer's); of coarse, that's all dependent upon their level of "self-dissociative conditioning" according to the the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) ― Oops, I just suddenly went all MD, Ph.D. on you, Adam ― That's my bad.... !!!! I have poor eyesight myself so I've worn glasses ever since I was 6 years old, but people always say I should get Lasik surgery ― Yikes... !!!! I've worn glasses for so long now, that I feel their apart of my self-identity. God knows my glasses have actually saved my eyes from flying rocks, broken glass, and even from the metal sparks spewing everywhere, whenever I use a my brothers plasma welder. I've always felt the same as yourself, when artists say their the only one who knows exactly what they want. We're all a little neurotic about these things and I'm no exception to the rule. I was born with Hyperacusis (extreme hearing sensitivity), which helps to explain my poor eyesight as well. I rely on my hearing for many things, so nobody can ever sneak-up behind me, because I can hear people's footsteps and their breathing also. However, it been a blessing in disguise, because I can mentally separate and analyze the layers in music. One time I overheard some guys talking about some music flaws within a recording, so they played it out loud in a really great little Goth Coffeehouse in Old Hollywood, close to Capitol Records. They couldn't detect what was wrong with the song, so I casually tuned around and said there was a high-pitched electronic throbbing and so I just left. Later on these same guys came back to talk with a buddy at Sony Music. They couldn't figure out how I could detect that particular flaw, so I just said that I was born with Hyperacusis, so now, I do music reviews as a side hobby. It's fun and I like the independent music community anyhow. Daniel Graves use to have listening parties here on UA-cam and they were always great fun; but, he's explains his music process. Daniel is still recognized as having "the best scream" within the Industrial/EBM/Aggrotech scene. He explained he went to a "vocal coach" to teach himself how to properly scream, yell, and hollar without destroying his vocal chords. I had no idea that, that was an actual problem, until he explained when he ruptured a blood-bubble which grew on his vocal chords; nevertheless, Daniel's vocal's are all natural and he doesn't use any "filtering" (unless it's very obvious, like the computer voices), because he insists that he can hear the distortions within his own singing. The "perfection" in Aesthetic Perfection is absolutely true for him with ADHD, panic attacks, and OCD ― However, I learned over time that guy's like him were really a bunch of geeks and nerds. The "tech-talks" I've overheard are always floating way above my head, but most musician's are super cool and they have a knack for being technically savvy. I took a music theory class once, so I understand the complex mathematics that are involved, which is astounding to me. Anyhow, Adam, I need to get back to work, but your very easy to speak with which I deeply appreciate. Oh, I just noticed your new song in my notifications.... !!!! Yeah.... !!!! You self-promote Grimfel in the best manner possible I believe. Thanks and I'll Hear Ya' Later, Dude.... !!!!

    • @Grimfel

@@spinglasshydra Glasses have saved me from many road accidents for sure. Mainly preventing me from stepping onto the road in frogger style. But joking aside, focusing on music really has been a fun experience. I don't really care about the clicks and views. I even think UA-cam have limited me somewhat lately because of the swearing and topics related in the songs but I gotta do what I gotta do. Even if that means less views. Hyperacusis can be hard to live with but like you said gives many benefits of being able to pick out a particular note and understanding sound on a deeper level. That's really cool that you were about to pick out specific flaws. Makes a good for a music producer. But I think its survival instinct perhaps. Being able to hear ones breathing and footsteps would have given an survival advantage in more brutal times. Daniel Graves does have great music, listening to more of his stuff. I really like it so thank you for that suggestion. A vocal coach will teach someone to scream by stablising their neck and strengthening their throat as opposed to just open screaming which can damage vocal chords. For me, I've been doing it on and off for twenty years and I still feel like a novice with it. But i love to include screams in most of my songs because even when using AI in my loops and samples it just doesn't hit as good for screams. And you get a more authentic sound from raw vocals on that. Thanks for sharing those cool stories with me. Have a great weekend :)

Considering the Dark Sun is an alchemical symbol of purification of corruption and impurity, anyone trying to channel its power for purposes of creating a corrupt manifestation of order is likely instead going to watch everything of theirs burn down around them. Considering the state of the world at the time of this post, maybe that's what happened.

Grimfel('s) striking vocals have amazing versatility, able to go from a silky smooth alto, into blasting off with a demonic laden ground-shaking vibrato. It's indeed a beautiful thing to behold....!!!! I actually feel, as if, I'm wandering around the Basil Hallward Manor itself; however, it's a cautionary tale that's sorely missing from today's World, because youthful beauty only goes skin deep. Disingenuous Artistic Perfection + Money + Astonishing Beauty = A self-imposed 'Curse' There's a fragility in itself, which can seemingly lead to a 'false sense of security' for the most part of a teenager's fleeting years. Most of my patients have a deeply felt sense of low self-esteem related to their looks, who've been bullied by the good looking and popular kids. It's always a delight to have a stylist provide them an intervention makeover.

    • @Grimfel
      @Grimfel 10 днів тому

Thanks always appreciate your words. 🖤 I'm glad you noticed the pitch shifts 😃I did a sort of re-imagining of Dorian Gray. In a way that I felt would fit the song. The idea that someone would kill to have that kind of immortality. That kind of vanity most people chase. It's a sad affair that many get caught in that chase. I feel the younger generation are unfortunately exposed to these superficial values that generally leave one feeling inadequate or never fulfilled. Like you said, a self-imposed curse. I can imagine that pressure being quite brutal. Stylists helping show them that they can have a makeover and reinvent themself must be quite liberating for them.

@@Grimfel Oh, it's a great feeling indeed to facilitate positive change in someone. Usually, these teens have attempted suicide multiple times, but my credentials allow me to have a patient change to different schools within the greater Los Angeles, School District ― I'm especially hated by them. In one phone call, the principal didn't hang-up his phone correctly, so the School Board had conveyed a special session, while I chewed them up and spit them back out, so I'm labeled as: "A pathological activist for wimpy-kid's that can't hack life ― He's an Occult Leader" I record all my phone calls, so they were rightly embarrassed when I replayed the comment back to them in a public school board meeting....!!!! Oscar Wilde's 1890 novel is a fantastic example of Gothic Horror, but I collect very rare books, so a first edition sits on my shelf. I'm a huge Anne Rice fan, of course; but, I always thought she adopted many of the same characteristics within Lestat dé Lioncourt, who's male beauty was unsurpassed. Lestat was literally a Prince of France (the spare, if you will). His beauty was so much so, that Lestat's mentor Marius kept obsessively painting the same boy over and over again. Marius became so haunted by Lestat's mental image that he searched the entire world for him. Marius found Lestat locked away, crying, all alone, and afraid of everything after Vampire Magnus had kidnapped and repeatedly rapped Lestat and forced the Dark Gift upon himself. This mirror's the trauma I had dealt with regarding my own father. I was so humiliated and embarrassed that I kept this knowledge hidden away from everyone until his death: He did the same to my sister as well, but I still never ever told her. The image of a tall, attractive, long-haired Native American teenage boy, who should have been full of joyous freedom, became trapped within myself ― Eventually, festering into a venomous man. The Tribal Elder's observed me and had me take care of some horses, but when I would ride them at full gallop ― That freedom came to bear as I'd scream out loud into the wind. Always wearing black they named me "Raven Shadow" the black rider on a white horse. The term "rebellious" doesn't even come close to what I had become and self-hatred is a poison that continues to stay in the bloodstream. Adam, you have no idea how much these lyrics punctuated a deeply imbedded truth inside myself. It's almost, as if, your description of Dorian Grey was tailor fitted to suite myself. Sometimes music can reignite and facilitate those long forgotten memories to surface once again; but nevertheless, I learned how to tame those monsters which still lurk inside me. We sat down and had tea together, so I could let them that "this was my time to show" and no longer "theirs". Adam you do touch people..... !!!!

I had a best friend of 20 years who I ended up cutting ties with once I was getting into trouble with the law just by association...turned out to be a great thing for me and I realized how blind I was to the toxicity with those "friendship goggles" on. DAMN THIS SONG IS FIRE...goes right onto my playlist.

Sometimes it's a blessing in disguise when a friendship gets severed. Blind to the venom they pour into your life. It's like you say, once you're away from a toxic friend It's like taking off those goggles. I had to do this to several friends who just kept asking for money but never would pay me back. So that's where the inspiration for the song came from. Thanks for your kind words 🙏

You can not choose your friends, only who you call friends. The one you call your best friend could be your worst enemy and the one you call your worst enemy could be your best friend. Who truly is a friend can only be judged based on actions.

Yeah. The song of the n@rcissistic s@ciop@th who doesn't want to realize that its light was always based on darkness from the very beginning. And now it has to blame somebody other, somebody else for the failure. But that's just a st@pd mistake on the top of the trivial failure. No. There is only one enemy. And we all are just the slaves of it.

(Even you say it. "you are the catalyst in my life" Catalysts do not bring anything NEW to the table what wasn't there before. They just ignite the fire and speed the burn. They cannot do anything else. That is their nature. 'Cause there is only ONE enemy. And we all and everything is just a slave of it.)

      @Grimfel 19 днів тому

Thanks for your insight. This song was written as a concept. The idea being that fame being the catalyst and detriment to their life. An anti-love letter, if you will. Though, I agree with what you said. I have a song coming out shortly called Purgatory you may or may not find resonates with the idea that we are living in damnation. Which reflects my feelings against the 'Narcissistic, solipsistic can do no wrong' society. Our cage.

@@Grimfel Yeah. Fame is a very special beach too, what can disassembly our very beloved personalities to parts what we never wanted to see or even to know about. :) But I'm not in danger of being famous. (Yes, the world can make you infamous in any moment, but in that case when it wasn't you but the cr@elty of others somehow you don't identify with it. That is their sh@me, not yours. That is their cr@elty, not yours.) But believe me, fame is not alone. Many others stand besides it waiting eagerly to make the job done instead of fame, if fame failed. Greed, h@tred, obs@ssions, fears, vanity as the little sister of fame, and of course my very fkg favorite love amongst many others. They all are just tools in the hands of the real enemy. And we are the ones who are alone against those. (Until we are a legion.) If you are free from one of them the other will get a hold on you. And it won't release you anymore. Song lyrics (or art in general) are pretty general, so you can use it for whatever goals you just want. You can interpret them however you wish. There is the freedom of the artist and there is the freedom of the listener. (In many cases, the listener's freedom is even bigger than the artist's one. :) And I have a beef with this universe. The same words, you just switch the background context, and the d@vil speaks. My favorite example is a music artist in my country who is pretty much of a christian. His art is way out of the context of religion, religious thoughts and ideas are only philosophical parts of his art, he is singing about all life, but he's a proud christian. (I like his music pretty much.) And he has a song what can be interpreted, word by word, from top to bottom, as the anthem of the luciferian rebellion against the source of this fkg universe.

Not many bands are willing to blend two languages together in their music, but those who do offer their audiences with a whole new experience. Since, I speak a couple languages already, it's something I've been inspired by to look for more music lately, which is willing to cross international boundaries ― I began Japanese at the start of the new year. The University of Tokyo wants me to teach a semester in their Psychology Department at sometime in the future. They said that I don't need to learn the language (they'll provide me with translation software), but I've taken it upon myself to go ahead to learn Japanese. Twenty-seven years ago, I had attended a class filled with people from Germany, but I had learned the basics of German in high school. I failed that class ― I learned later my teacher taught us incorrectly; but, when I began to have conversations with the German students, everything just kicked-in and they were nice enough to walk me through the rough spots. The same also happened with a group of Japanese students who only drank "Sapphire Gin" (yuck....) after class was done, so if, you start with the basics and stay around those people, you'll start to learn quickly. I'm impressed by HANABIE. I've never seen an all female Hard-Metal band and the lead singer has some mad skills. I adore this song, because it's not "full throttle" Hard-Metal; but instead, it's got terrific tempo, with lovely breaks, and some gracious drops so the listening experience is nicely grounded and Psychologically this format often keeps people attention. I believe it's a good combination, plus it widens an opportunity to appeal to other audiences' both domestic and foreign. この御馳走AdamとKaminariをありがとう、それは中毒性があります..... !!!!

That's a great observation. I love how beautiful Japanese can be when it's blended with metal and rock. Very powerful in application. I find the Japanese incredibly friendly and a mostly peaceful society. I can imagine it would be a nice experience for you to teach at Tokyo. Translation is very accurate and easy to do. For the most part I always refer to translation for song writing in Japanese. But like you I have been learning their language and I just find it allows me to tap into a world of content that I feel is good for my soul. I could imagine the frustration of finding out you've been taught incorrectly. Reminds me of a french teacher who for the most part only knew basic. You find other people on cultures tend to be open to teaching though. Hanabie is a whole experience and the sheer talent of that band shows. They were one of the inspirations for the female vocals and lyrics. As well as Baby Metal. Really glad you like the song and recognised the breaks in tempo. Sometimes it can be tough to pull off but I like the blend with this one. ありがとう。こういう音楽がもっと増えるだろう

@@Grimfel Most Japanese youth's look specifically for music just like this Adam, because so many of them are studying English. It's almost a requirement like in Germany where it's demanded that they learn it before graduating. I'm still shocked that Europeans are into Heavy-Metal music right now ― I don't know how old you are Adam; but, I can't believe the resurgence of 80's bands like Metallica, Black Sabbath, White Snake, Pantera, AC/DC, etc., have become so popular once again. I'm 53 years old, but a couple of times some the city kids driving for Uber will say to me, "I don't think you'll enjoy my music because it's to loud for 'old people'.... !!!!" I just laugh it off and say that I was around when the music was brand new and so were your parents. One time an Uber driver's playlist began to play "Enter Sandman" so he quickly reached over to change the music, but I shouted rather forcefully, "Don't you dare change this song..... !!!! It's one of my all-time favorite songs, so turn it Way UP ― Please." Yeah, I'm considered a 'music-snob' by many people and so that's why I'll do music reviews on the side as a hobby. Believe it or not, I can Psychologically Profile anyone by their music selections, which also applies to musicians as well. Your extremely 'healthy-minded' from what I've seen and heard. You even understand Carl Jung's "shadow self" which is rare, indeed. My all time favorite Metal band respectively is 'Korn' (outside of the 80's), so when they performed on the "Queen of The Damn" movie soundtrack ― I became addicted to it for years afterward. The soundtrack album made more money than the movie itself. My friends will say that I have the most open-minded music selection they've ever heard before. I always tell my patients and professional colleagues: "Music is your most 'faithful friend' who's never too tired, or ever too busy to care, or doesn't want too listen to your sorrows and frustrations: Nevertheless, 'music is alive'.... !!!!" You're just way too freaking "Goth-Kyd Kewl", even if, you don't self-identify as Goth (it's just one of my sayings) for me to not have a healthy correspondence with someone as talented and varied as yourself. I rarely get the opportunity to find such people with your diversity, adaptable creative acceptance, and obviously contain a level of superior intelligence. Considering you are one of "The Children of The Night", I'd like to share my email address with you. Get it quickly because I never leave it up for very long so I can keep my privacy (fu*king conspiracy theorists are unrelenting about saying 'I need Jesus'), but I rarely make exceptions for just anyone (it's up to you, but I won't be offended if you decline) I must thank the "UA-cam 'algorithm gods' " for simply connecting me to you and your music. Have an excellent day..... !!!! ― Yeah, I know, I know, I gotta stop writing these long-ass comments, which some people have termed them as my 'mini-novels'. It's probably because I can write extremely fast. あなたは平均的な人よりも才能があります-それは確かに素晴らしいことです。 将来何が起こっても続けてください。

I had a vision that this was me, and it is. I am Grimfel. That is to say I am Billie Eilish. A man. I played this woman part, and I saw myself in the future where I am now, and I am Christ, and I saw I am moaning. I need help, and there is none for me now. And I cried. i cried at the end of this video where I am Christ in sight of you. I am bleeding in my life. I am sad, but I am art. To me, I am beautiful. I don't know about you.
