THE BEST TRIES OF 2024 | Rugby League
27 minutes of the best tries in 2024, including tries from the NRL, Super League, internationals, UK Championship & League 1, and a couple from other comps
This is a reupload as I had to remove a lot of the NRL tries due to copyright - a real shame how the NRL control their content.
- The biggest sports leagues in the world are not close to being as strict as the NRL are
- The more content available to watch on the sport the better, the NBA commissioner, Adam Silver encourages people to create content around the NBA as long as it doesn't take away from their live TV rights
- So it's very disappointing that the NRL still have this stance.
And more likely I will have to reupload again with 0 NRL footage
Comment what you favourite(s) tries are and any I have missed!

Why Newcastle Knights MUST PLAY Will Pryce!

Why Newcastle Knights MUST PLAY Will Pryce!
Saying 'nobody can touch him' is a bit rich. He can play tho.
Shame hes a speed bump in defence.
That's simply not true, for a half he's a competant defender at a minimum.
@GooseStep1444 not for me, not when you compare him to Williams, Smith or Lomax. Wigan really got at him at Doncaster and he switched off at Old Trafford
@@turnedoutniceagain Comparing him to 2 very experienced halves is simply unfair - and I wouldn't say there is much in it vs Smith. Lewis is very committed defensively and strong for his size - came up with some great individual defensive moments this season also - certainly not close to being a speed bump. Every half in the league is a target defensively, and for the most part, it's on the forwards to protect them His defence vs George Williams at Craven Park was superb, pretty much shut him down on his own Bevan French is the best player in the comp, with some of the quickest feet in the world - I, personally won't hold it against any player for missing a tackle on him
@GooseStep1444Grand Final, you can't miss a one on one like that. Smith Williams and Lomax all make that tackle.
@@turnedoutniceagain It wasn't a one-on-one tackle, Matt Parcell should have made first contact - but he didn't commit enough/ lazy effort Yeah, Smith, Williams, and Lomax may have made that tackle, but they may not have - we will never know.
Very entertaining footy, and you can feel the energy of the crowd. Would love to be there in the stands.
These short in goal areas in England are mad.
One of the best young players in the Super league, Hull KR will be champions next season
hes my mates dad
1:56 😂
Absolute brilliant player
This why rugby league is not popular anywhere really its dirty sport which why it doesnt get more world wide notice. For this sport to be taken more seriously they need to irradiate it by giving more lengthy bans like rugby union
They are a lot more valid reasons to why it's not as popular then these tackles - these tackles are not common and players do pick up big bans and over the past few years the threshold for long bans has decreased a lot.
Imagine the south Africans joining the rugby League🇿🇦🙋🏻♀️
pity the storm won all their titles with no regard to the salary cap
I've noticed players between 5'4 and 5'7 are incredibly fast like too fast lol
Freak !!!, no way, Junior is an extremely talented and committed rugby league athlete . Is Harry Kane a freak, was George Best a freak because he was a superb footballer?
What?
Got to be said aswell, Bevan French does this stuff against every team, some players crack under pressure, he does not
French makes him look good, watch him when French was out last season he was woeful
That's harsh and I was disappointed in his performances when French & Field were out, but in more or less every big game over the past 2 seasons he's been faultless and one of the best on the pitch for both Wigan & England
Good player, but won’t mean much until he makes it in the NRL.
Not really, while the NRL is the best comp it isn't the be and end all. It's full of elite and quality talent but there's a lot of average players - there's also a lot of quality player in Super League who wouldn't look out of place in the NRL, but only the high end talent are able to make the way across to Australia - if location wasn;t an issue there would be a much higher % of UK/EU players in the NRL
@ nah, sorry dude. The best SL players who made it and succeeded in the NRL, would outdo any of the top players supposedly in the SL. Dom Young, one of the best British players in the game, is smashing it in the NRL. The lack of speed and competitiveness of the SL is nothing in comparison to the fast pace of the NRL. Adrian Morley, Elliot Whitehead, Luke Thompson, Ellery Hanley, Sam Burgess amongst others in the British game are better players because they played in the NRL.
Who was the number 8 that ran in and threw a solid punch at Flower? Looked like a big islander.
Mose Masoe
league don't give out cards you idiot😂😆🤣
Could chase this man down in our local comp...but be buggered if I could read that step or dummy 🔥🔥 literal genius
switch codes please 🙏🏾
switch codes please 🙏🏾
Ah Rugby League. The sport for rugby players who aren't very good at rugby
Yawn
Sualii wasn't exactly a superstar of the NRL and he got MOTM in his first game, an international btw. Sure you've not got those mixed up?
I was watching a French Top 14 game recently and half of the forwards had actual tits. It’s understandable because there is a lot of standing around in union. The semi-pro Super XIII in France has better athletes.
Yet you're watching it. I love my union as well but it's almost unwatcheable now with the yellow and red cards. And watching live when the scrums are breaking down isn't so fun either. Each to their own.
Yeah including the most famous rugby player of the last 30 years Jonah Lomu, a born and bred leaguie.
Love to see him test himself in the NRL, could do well in the right team
Top player wigan fan all my life well mostly French is my fav player thes3 days best player in super league by far easy
I hope England bring this boy to Union
he's an athlete and hasa those league skills but dunno if he'd be an upgrade on any of the currrent English wingers. Different story if he could transition to centre
Shout out to the guys throwing hospital pasaes 😂
“Rugby league” but the first clip is rugby union 😂
Didn't know Leigh vs Salford was a rugby union fixture, thank you so much
Rugby Union doesn’t have a 10 metre line.
It's really not union mate!!!
No it isn't
Where’s Moz ?
Ball carriers headbutting the tackler’s arm, you don’t like to see it.
Yeah, the poor guy will have a sour hand after that.
Smith is highly rated, Just Bevan and Jai are more dynamic and have the star power witch take the pressure of Smith. Smith is not a flashing player he is still only 24, as long as he keep getting better his time as a star player will come.
You need to make one about Kai o donnell
Nothing in them, games gone soft.
You talk about space hulk man you’re the definition of soft 😂
@@BruthaShaka it's a meme mate
@ shi my bad 😅
1st one looked like the ball runner stepped into the defender, play on
cry harder
He's not underrated within rugby. He's your favourite halfback's favourite halfback whilst your favourite coach wishes he had him in his team.
Another brilliant scrum half from Widnes, how many top flight scrum halves have come from Widnes playing for all the top teams in Super League and before Super League from my memory Ray Owens in the 60s too David Hulme before Widnes's demise. Into the lower league
That's just in 2024! That Grand Final try always gives me goosebumps. It was just magic!
Bro just come back to the NRL and play for the Mighty Saints 😏
Looking like Brodie Croft instead....
@ Looking like Lachlan Ilias, Daniel Atkinson, Tyran Wishart and everyone else and their grandma 😂
Dominanting?
yeah dominating
20years old and head and shoulders above every 2nd rower in league this year
Harry Smith reminds me of Cooper Cronk, great kicking game and organiser, complements Bevan French very well. He isn't at Cronk's level yet, if he ever gets there, but he is the best scrum half in the country by quite a margin. Despite the clamour from Hull KR fans to have Mikey Lewis as England's 7, the recent tests have vindicated the selection of Harry Smith. Lewis is a running half back, a stand off in similar vein to George Williams. Also in the big games between the two clubs Harry Smith has out performed Mikey Lewis, he is a good player but lacks the tactical awareness that Smith brings to a side and his excellent kicking game. Nathan Cleary praised him on it after the WCC.
Hardly a shock that Hull KR fans want their homegrown star to be starting for England - and it wasn't just Hull KR fans - I feel most knew Wane would pick Williams and Smith anyway Smith has one of the best-kicking games in the world, his game really shines in the big games but while you're playing in an incredible Wigan team his role can tend to fluctuate throughout the season as the value of his kicking game won't shine in big/easy wins so he wont catch the eye as often as other players - so it's not a surprise why it was a debate
fuck bill harrigan dragons won that game but storm was gifted the grandfinal
Je le signe de suite au dragon catalan sans soucis
He gets a lot of stick from fans, including our own, but he is a really talented player with a great kicking game. Glad many don't like him though and take no interest in him as it means he can stay at Wigan🍒⚪️
I have been disappointed/wanted more from him at times throughout the past 2 seasons but in the large majority of big games he's been the best player on the field At this point, I'm not sure why anyone would say he isn't a quality player
Be great to see him in the NRL.
He's not going anywhere😅
He could be OK in World Rugby. There are no signs if he would be any good off the ball.
NO WAY U ARE TAKING MY BOY
Best player in the comp by country miles. Mike Lewis couldn't lace his boots
You don't have to be negative about another player to praise another.
@GooseStep1444 Very much so
where did Smith learn his trade.
Widnes
He’s overated. A distant 3rd behind Harry Smith and Mikey Lewis over here. Since he got the drop goal against Penrith his head grew twice the size and he went missing for Saints. He was so bad last season he was dropped from the squad for a number of games. He promised so much but his kicking game is ineffective, he doesnt take on the line and just passes the buck to oncoming runners. Maybe Wayne Bennett knows what he’s doing or possibly dementia is setting in.
Hard to disagree and you're probably being generous saying he's 3rd English #7
5ft 5 of pure skill and the will to win. Put up a fight with courage and dignity. R.I.P big guy ❤
Literally like running into a brick wall that also hits back 😂 You don’t see many players run over SBW either!😮 seriously powerful!
Why clips playing against so.few teams if he was untouchable?
Clips included from the majority of games he played for St. Helens.
3:22 had to be a TBI from that for sure
How you left out Sam’s try saving tackle on halftime in the 2014 prelim final is a crime…
or that one of him charging full speed at the line ahahaha I'm sure he throws someone flying if I remember right
