If that's the ocean then that's definitely an odd find. If that's a huge ass lake, not so much. I'm pretty sure it's the ocean, so yeah, definitely weird. I've been to the ocean & I don't remember seeing any huge ass trees nearby. I suppose it's better than finding a bunch of trash. At least the tree is natural. It also provides a perfect hiding place for little sea life.

Using wife's phone not her opinions I'm a retired marine engineer and have seen trees ,beams,and logs sink boats especially fiberglass hull but also steel hull can get holed if hit in the wrong position you also have to be trained in damage control to even hya chance along with pumps and really good communication say phone and sideband marine radio is really short range they are hard to see and I don't ever remember any being picked up on radar along with this there used to be foam filled barges and if holed they would sink to where they were just below the water and boom right up on the damn thing and if you crushed your bow that was it some even where a small vessel would be on top of one looking like a hull out of water
