Good one.
What is a stroker?
Increase cc of an engine by changing the crankshaft from another bigger engine
δεξιοτιμονο ειναι; ή καμερα το δειχνει αναποδα;
Doing a very similar build. M52b28 + 133mm Rods + IE Mahle 85mm pistons. What rods did you end up doing? 130mm 135mm? Did they clear the crank or did you end up shaving pistons/crank with 130mm rods? I also see some people do m52b28 with 135mm rods...i don't understand how they do that without having custom pistons ... too much height ... too much.
Hello if the pistons are IE mahle motorsport 2.9 pistons then you need to use 135mm rods since they are made specifically for this application. If you use oem pistons then depennding on what brand you have and c.r need some modification... so are tou using I.E mahle motorsport pistons?
@@xristodoulos88 I’m sorry can you explain why a piston would NEED to be used in conjunction with 135mm rods?
@@xristodoulos88 and yes they are the forged IE mahle pistons. 2.9 ultimate street stroker pistons. Nothing on the website says anything about specifically using 135mm rods. Additionally, without doing compression ratio calculations, if I were to use 135mm rods the pistons would have sat way above the deck further increasing CR (I’m assuming you think that my CR would be too high?)
@@xristodoulos88 your build is similar. It seems the only variation are the rods and pistons. If your pistons had a slightly different design than mine resulting in a higher seating in the deck, it would make sense to me that the 133mm rods would be fine.
@@xristodoulos88 my pistons and rods are in and clear fine. Haven’t put the head on yet. Going to the shop to pick up in the coming week.
Perfect 👍🦍
what ecu ?
Link g4x ecu
Damn she sounds soo good ❤
Impossible j’ai eu trois e30 320i ça marche moins que ça !
This is a 2.9 stroker engine. M20b29
How does it compare to before? What did you change?
Hello, its a different car with similar sound!! More fun more fragile but i wouldnt go back to a standard m20b25. Its a stroker 2.9 engine with itbs and all associated components to make it work
That induction sound is top tier
What engine management do you have?
Link g4x

wtf? only stroker-kit?
Yes its a stroker engine
Dang! Awesome!

ok ...but drive wheel is on wrong side :]
Haha what to do!!:p english colony here
My 87 325is 5 speed could chirp 3rd 😅. Mind you, the mod list was short. H&r coilover kit, bb tri Flo muffler, uuc ssk, and split second maf conversion. My 89 325i had similar mods and a 2.8 m20 with 272 cam, but failed to chirp 3rd. 🤷
Hey thanks for the commnet!! I think it all comes.to the tyre condition and the gearing of the transmision and differential!!:)...
@xristodoulos88 out of all the choices for factory differentials, straight from e30 chassis, I've personally owned, were 2.79lsd, 2.93lsd, 3.73lsd, and 4.10lsd. Surprisingly, I went out of my way to purchase a 4.10lsd, and I ultimately disliked it, haha. The 3.73lsd was the 3rd gear chirper. Loved that one. Also, let's not take away from the 2.79lsd/or 2.93lsd. I live far enough north to get snow in the winter. Those two gear sets, PERFORMED AMAZINGLY IN SNOW! Donuts were very strong too! 💪 they would be my choice for forced induction m20, hands down.
Obviously all gearsets were backed up to, getrag 260 5 speeds, and all were m20 variants, even the MEDIOCRE 325e 😉
@@sidewayzmike okey fair enought:) somehow the compression affects the engine and also the maf conversion . Sometimes a 2.8 stroker may result in a low cr engine which sacrifies lot of power even though there is decent torque. I have driven an 2.5 stock with rhd itbs and link ecu and it was very fast , it produced 208 hp to the same dyno that i had mine dynoed!!:)
@@sidewayzmike i have checked the 3.45, 3.65, 3.91 and i had a 4.45 that i never tested. From all these the videos you see is with a 3.73, it a very good ratio and best for smoothness and sportiness also. I now use 3.91 and i like it cz i want to hear the sound and not nessesarily end up to.the police station
Great sound! I have goose bumps now ;)
man some nice sounds
Horsepower's?
What’s the setup?
Specific setup is 84mm 8.8 compression pistons on m20b25 with rhd itbs 40mm, sequential ignition , custom harness, link g4+ ecu, 6 branch manifold, and exhaust, 208 hp on a dynojet
Build specs?
How many liters of fuel does it consume per 100 km?🙃
Honestly i dont know cz its just a weekend car . From a stock engine it has better consumption but if tou push it hard it consumes more
Hey mate, am in need of your advice on diff ratios. My stroker made around 250hp at the wheels, I'm running a 4.10 LSD on 16 inch wheels and it absolutely decimates the rear wheels when trying to accelerate in 1st, way too short for what I want, acceleration is faster if I just start in second as 1st is completely unmanageable. Am tossing up between a 3.45/3.46 or a 3.73 ratio, leaning more towards the 3.45/3.46 as I want a longer first gear for acceleration times. Would love to hear your thoughts on either, thanks.
Hello m8 . I have tested 3.73, 3.45,3.64 & 3.91 all lsd with 16 inch wheels. I have tested my car 2 days before on a dyno and it was 271hp at the engine. 3.45 is too long for me and not fun cz i wanted to rev the engine and get the feeling and sound but its like 160km with 3rd. 3.73 is good all around and 3.91 was nice for me. Its 120km 3250 rpm but its i dont do highways... if that its too short then best is 3.73(i havent noticed any significant difference with 3.64 over 3.73). I have tested 3.73 vs 3.45 with draggy and 3.73 produce faster times.. i havent tested 3.91 but i believe 3.91 will be ever faster for 1/4. Best 0-100 with 3.73 is 5.46 and with 3.45 is 5.98 seconds
@@xristodoulos88 Thanks so much for the info, do you find first gear is okay for accelerating from a stand still and not too short with the 3.73?
@@midnightzero2173 yes its good . Not too tall to reduce power but not short to be spinning the wheels constantly.. with my car when i was accelerating from 4k rpm lets say it was able to spin the tyres a bit which is fun.. check out gear calculators to see.. seach google e30 gear calculator
@@xristodoulos88 i think you can try a 3.64 :) with you power and if you put a oem 15 inch would be interesting
@@alex230ro 3.64 and 3.73 are so similar , i doubt there is any different. It seems that i prefer short ratio since its just a weekend car so i dont mind about the consumption or high ways.
I love the mtech2 steering bro
That sound is music to my ears 😍
Hey Chris where you from bro, what's done to her she sounds awesome is it a, stock M20b25?
Its a stroker engine , meaning that the cranshaft was changed(from e36) , custom pistons new ecu & harness, m3 injectors . Now its 2861 cc
You smoked that Honda sir lovely engine M20b25 my favorite engine
Yea thats why i did not m50 swap the car:p
Max Hp out of m20 stroker? Looking to build a 2.9l
How much Hp and tq does thw itb give you?
I dont have before after dyno but i believe like 20whp and moved.the torque a bit at the top end rather than mid
Nice driving Chris. What differential ratio is in the car? 3.55?
Hello thanks!:).. there it had 3.73 with 17 inch wheels
Almost as fast as a honda civic
Check my other videos:)

Thank you
5s for 0-100, great 😳👍👍
Thanks:) my best is 5.48 with 3.73 lsd.. you can check on my videos with draggy.. now i have 3.45 but i will switch soon to 3.91 for testings
@@xristodoulos88 sometimes, longer diff is better than short diff, because of the torque of 2.9 💪💪 Your engine was a 2.5 before the stroke?
@@hamidfiero1429 yea i agree with you . Car is a weekend street car so i do experement with it during weekends.. yes car started as 2.5 then changed crankshaft from m52b28 which is 84 stroke instead of 75 changed pistons to suit the stroke and increased bore . I also changed to shrick 272/272 cams with springs and rockers and installed itbs and methanol . Also changed to coil per cylinder and of course ecu with new harness!:)
@@xristodoulos88 thanks you for your answer bro 👍 Mine is just an m20b20 😅😅 full stock, but i'd love to stroke it in m20b24 with diesel's crankshaft but i don't know what cylinders to use for, a friend told me m52b28's cylinders, but it's very hard to find it
@@hamidfiero1429 if you use the disel is 81 stroke, if i was you if my engine needs rebuild first i would try to find a 2.5 engine or the easiest for you is to do a 2.3 with the m20b23 cranshaft .. if you go from the begining then go for big displacement!:) and save money to find whatever you want. Its also hard here to find parts but you have to be patient
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
Is it stock b25 or borred b27/b28??
Its a borred to 85mm from 84 and used m52b28 cranshaft that is 84mm stroke in comparison of the 75mm stock one. That results to 2861cc engine
@@xristodoulos88 what was the cost of the engine rebuild in total then? Sounds expensive
@@plgamerb i lost the count.. including the rhd itbs i believe around 7k euros and then ecu and harness another 2.5k and after you need to fix differential bushes brakes so you need lot of worj

Helo, what exhaust/collector is mounted, are there any other things changed?
Hey, it a m20b25 stroked to b29, the exhaust manifold its looks like a racing dynamics but i am not sure what brand it is. It also clears the z3 rack i used. I then made a custom made stainless the remaining of the exhaust. It has a distance of 84 cm from the collectors to a y pipe the it has a midle box and then to the backbox. I dont know the brand but it is used for e36 m3 style. The dimeter is 1.5 inches for the collector a 2.75 up to the y pipe ans then 2.5inches single pipe.
Car has link ecu with custom harness, rhd itbs , mahle 2.9 pistons , uprated valve springs, shrick 272/272, head is slightly ported, it has rhd flywheel(3.9kg) .
