I am glad you love them too. Elder brother Barry, lead singer here, is the only brother still alive as I type in 2024. The twins, Maurice (in black here) and Robin (long hair/bare faced) died in 2003 aged 53 and in 2012 aged 62 . They were terrific singer, songwriters and musicians and we miss them dearly.

A little background. Barry Gibb (middle) September 1, 1946. He and his wife Linda have been married for 54 years. They were also married on September 1, 1970. They have 4 sons and one daughter who is the youngest. Also, 7 grandchildren. Barry's chest is shiny with blotches because when he was about 18 months, he pulled a pot of hot tea from off of a table. His mom said he didn't speak for a long time (close to 2 years.) He was close to dying because there was no skin grafting back then and gangrene was beginning to set in. Barry said he has no memory of it happening, just the scars to prove. Robin (on our left - long hair) and Maurice - pronounced Morris (on our right - short hair) were fraternal twins. Maurice Gibb (December 22, 1949 - January 12, 2003) heart attack, while getting surgery for twisted intestines. Survived by his wife and 2 adult children. Robin Gibb (December 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) doctors found out he had the same intestine problems as Maurice. When they went in to fix it, they found cancer. He is survived by his wife and 4 adult children. Andy Gibb (March 5, 1958 - March 10, 1988) He was too young to sing with his brothers. Survived by one daughter. They wrote their own songs and wrote and produced songs for a lot of other artists. Barry didn't always sing in falsetto. They were asked if someone could sing falsetto on a song. Barry volunteered, and the rest is history. Robin sings falsetto too. On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley (Gibb) Evans. She can sing, but she did not want to be in the limelight. She lives a quiet life. She and Barry are the last two survivors of the family. (Their parents are deceased also.) Maurice passed away on Lesley's 58th birthday. They were so popular that some radio stations had a 'Bee Gees free' weekend. NO requests for their songs. There's so much to write about them. Their most prominent era was in the 70's (the "disco era) but they sang since they were children and were first on TV in 1960 at the ages of 9 (twins) and 12. In the late 60's (ages 17 and 20), they rivalled the Beatles for hysterical fans. After the 70's they wrote for others but returned to concerts and their own LP's in the 80's, 90's and early 2000's until Maurice (on the right) died unexpectedly. They all had amazing voices and the brothers switched or shared lead vocals.

The Brothers Gibb (Barry, the oldest & lead here); and fraternal twins Robin, no beard, and Maurice - pronounced Morris). They started singing in 1958-2003. Barry is the only one still living today. He celebrated his 78th birthday and 54th wedding anniversary on 9/1/24. The Bee Gees were MEGA stars back in the day. In this song they were singing in their falsetto (high) voices, but this was not their regular singing voices. And they wrote ALL their own songs. At one point in their career they released 6 straight #1 songs in a row. They were: 1. How Deep Is Your Love (mostly regular voices) 2. Staying Alive (just about everyone on the planet has heard this song in movies) (falsetto) 3. Night Fever (All these 3 were from the Saturday Night Fever movie Soundtrack (falsetto) 4. I saw them in February of 1977 in Springfield Mass with Thin Lizzy opening act! To this day it's one of the best concerts I've ever seen!

For those who like information about Dimas' songs: Sinful Passion - The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. Moreover, in the final part he added, with an oriental technique (from the Kazakhstan region). The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band name is A'Studio (Kazakh pop music group based in Russia, "Alma-Ata Studio", Almaty city). The dead singer (who Dimash was a fan of) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. Queen is the most iconic band in the world, but they're not just a band. They're 4 magical beings from a far away magical galaxy who chose to share their talent with my generation, and we have a strange sense of pride in that. We also love to share it with younger generations, and when they love it we feel that pride more. Someone who can take 3 unfinished songs and mash them up into the most iconic song ever (the lyrics are pretty much ingrained in our DNA at this point) obviously had a brilliant mind.
