The first song produced in PURE true stereo, two tracks recorded from multiple microphones expertly produced into a single track. Nothing had been heard before this track truly groundbreaking
Queen is the most iconic band in the world, but they're not just a band. They're 4 magical beings from a far away magical galaxy who chose to share their talent with my generation, and we have a strange sense of pride in that. We also love to share it with younger generations, and when they love it we feel that pride more. Someone who can take 3 unfinished songs and mash them up into the most iconic song ever (the lyrics are pretty much ingrained in our DNA at this point) obviously had a brilliant mind.
So glad you did this one first! Queen, Freddie Mercury, best singer of all time. Please react to the Live Aid Concert 1985 best performance ❤❤❤❤Freddie Forever
About the band… Freddie Mercury, lead vocals, piano, guitar sometimes. Had a degree in graphic arts. Designed the band's logo and many of their early costumes. Died of AIDS in 1991. Brian May, lead guitar, backup vocals. Made his guitar with his dad while in his teens. After Freddie died, went back to finish his doctorate in astrophysics. Has worked with NASA. Works for animal rights. Knighted by Charles III. Roger Taylor, drums, backup vocals (the high notes). Has a degree in biology (was headed to dental schoool). John Deacon, bass. Electronic engineer. Built a lot of the equipment the band uses on stage. Doesn't like to sing. All 4 have written #1 songs and all are individually in the songwriting hall of fame. John retired after Freddie died. Brian and Roger are still performing (in their 70s) both solo and as Queen with Adam Lambert out front.
This is one of the most famous songs in the world….. it is performed by the band Queen, it was written by the lead singer Freddie Mercury and was released in 1975.
This was 1975 - - it has been n0. 1 in the world - 3 times since - . Remember Queen is a group of 4 persons - equal - all of them sing, compose and play several instruments - and all are individually inducted in the Songwriters Hall of Fame - and they have all written no.1 hits. The list of songs are endless. My favourite is "Somebody to love" from 1981 in Montreal. The live performances are the best in my opinion - the are very accomplished - and what you just witnessed is a studioversion - one of a kind - very elaborate - impossible to do live - therefore the live version is very different - but just as good - and everybody sing along. 😀
I hopr you carry on down the Queen Rabbit hole. The whole band is called queen. The lead singer is Freddie Mercury. He was born in Zanzibar but lived his life in India as a child and then UK. He died in 1991 Rest in Peace Freddie. You live on to us in the music. I think you would enjoy Love of my Life ... live in Rio or Wembley, Somebody to Love live in Montreal in 1981 and Save Me also in Montreal 1981.
Thanks, Miss J! My favorite band of all time - since I was a teenager (I'm now 64!)... every member was incredibly talented - but you will likely most notice Freddie Mercury - the lead singer... I expect you may know a few more of their many hit songs... I hope you listen to more.. I appreciate your reaction.. and also, that you listened to this classic with headphones!
The a cappella intro is only the lead singer harmonizing with himself. The operatic section is three voices overdubbing their voices over 180 times to achieve the effect of a chorus. Check out Somebody to Love live in Montreal 1981. Thanks.
LOVELY reaction, Honey, THANK YOU! SUGGESTIONS… “SOMEBODY TO LOVE” LIVE at MILTON KEYNES BOWL in 1982 “INNUENDO” official music video (This song is known as the “1990s sibling” to Bohemian Rhapsody.)
There's a lot of "1st time " reactions to this song that you have some difficulty believing it is actually the person's 1st time. If you are faking that almost childlike look of wonderment through the opera into the hard rock section, you need to get to Hollywood! Lol 😊
I saw them in February of 1977 in Springfield Mass with Thin Lizzy opening act!
To this day it's one of the best concerts I've ever seen!

Well said! We were so lucky to have them.
Most streamed song of the 20th century 🌷🥰 QUEEN GOAT 👑

Great reaction. I loved watching your face throughout - very expressive. Looking forward to watching more content from your channel.
The clothes and hair are glam rock style.
Get ready to go down the Queen rabbithole, Jemima! 🙂🙂
Absolutely she should. 🫶💙
