This one was a hard case. It turned out that the laptop was unfixable. I posted this video just for repair process. Someone might benefit from this. Tried 4 different bios revisions downloaded from badcaps and labone. One of the bios i tried was modified by myself. Nothng proved to work but the real probblem was hiding from us.
Dell E6440 rare data line power button problem

Laptop brought to us for not turning on. Usually when the power button fails it's either the button itself or the ribbon cable that connects the button. This is the first time i see this kind of failure.

What's the story with Dell dc jacks? Inspiron 3493 dc jack replacement.

I decided to edit the video the less i could in order to show the whole process. The main purpose of this video is to pinpoint how easy it is for these dc jacks to fail. The specific laptop is Inspiron series, but latitudes use the same ones.

HP a6000 with fake gtx750 stuck at bios screen
always i like your work and the explication thanks sir .
I'm really glad you posted this video for months now I had been having same issue
we miss you chef and thank you sir .
I bought the BMAX-8PRO from Geekbuying. After 3 months the PC died and was completely unresponsive to the power button. I returned the computer to the seller for warranty service. Geekbuying had a long delay, eventually reporting that the device was beyond repair. A refund with 20% depreciation was agreed with the seller. Overall, I would not recommend buying BMAX devices due to the poor quality. Geekbuying also does not have a good quality of warranty service, engages in various unclear manipulations.
What microscope are you using?
It's a 48MP 2K camera with 100x lens. No brand.
I've purchased 5 of the same models. Three of them have already failed due to the same issue you experienced. Two of them wouldn't power up at all, and one stopped working within a week. There seems to be a serious quality control problem with the manufacturer, which is why the product has been discontinued by the sellers.
I have the same computer, and after a month of use, it stopped working. Upon inspection, I found that I have the 3V, but there is no trace of the 5V. Using a thermal camera, a chip labeled "ddr681" heats up to 60°C, but I can't find any reference to it. Really disappointed with this little device.
Gracias
Mine does turn on the power light, but doesn't send signal. Having it unplugged for a couple of hours makes it work. If the pc is turned off, I have to disconnect it from electricity. I do not recommend this brand.
Hello how do you do for soldering please ? What is your system ? Thanks
Mine battery got discharged, trying to charge for whole days but no result. Is it problem with battery or charging circuit?
My Beelink U59 does not reboot and shut down, you have to unplug and wait 10 min or longer then plug it back in, and then you see a Beelink splash screen. Thanks for your video
Wich bateries to buy?
Incredible, same error. 5 min repair. Open, warm 180ºc, cold and works fine. Thank you so much
Τι λες τώρα....
Same issue with a b2pro and totally worked when I was about to give up. I thought the reset button was just a forced reboot. I even disconnected the battery inside but only resetting the bios as you did worked. Thanks!
how did you reset the bios ?
@@hectormedina1962 the way it is explained by the end of the video. You don't have much patience, do you?😂 Just keeping the reset button for long (don't remember if it was 20s)
Where to buy the port only ?
not works for me :)
You got patience I am 73 and to old!
Why you even opened it first place when you only had to clear bios
It was the first time i had this device on my hands and i said: let's tear it apart !
Its not gonna work for most people, id say this works on 1 out of 10
Can we make it run on AC power? (σε ευχαριστούμε πολύ για το tutorial!)
verey nice work sir🎀🎀🎀🎀🎀
thanks sir its easy one for you .
I see you haven't really checked the circuit board thoroughly. The circuit board may work, but it won't last long. You look back at paragraph 5:13 1 IC, and the surrounding capacitors and resistors have been oxidized
Hi! What you saw on the video is not a full work on the laptop. There were parts edited and deleted.
I still think this video is good and informativ.
install LED status connect 120 or 220V ?
it would help if you got a proper hot air station I think it will be a much more precise reflow and also for many other jobs on motherboard works
Love your videos looks like i found new youtuber to watch all his videos about repairing laptops :) nice work bro !
Πολύ καλό κανάλι έκανα εγγραφή
I saw a cracked capacitor next to the bios just before you removed it 1st time, then later on at 46:30 another capacitor out of place.
The one lying around must be the one i firstly removed. Drifted away! :) I checked the video for the cracked one, i cannot see any. There is glue from the black plastic cover. You might confused it. Let me know.
Fume extractor?🙏 Thanks again for your informative commentary.
Thanks for the comment. I don't use fume extractor. My work place is big, with a high ceiling so the fumes dissolve fast. I try not to inhale them.
@@pc-mastor okay then, no breathing!😂
Your commentary is VERY informative. Please make more videos!
I agree with you .
Hi can you show your repair setup? How microscope is mounted?
Exactly, I am here to comment the same.
❤Hi sir what is name of boardviwe software
flexbv
To reflow δεν θα διορθώσει κάτι.
Hi, i have the same laptop and did the same thing to fix it, glad you discover the problem.
I thougt the first and second mosfit , but at the end i have understand that the keyboard how block the chipset of the board . Thank you sir . ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Happy new year sir .
Its work thank you mean ❤
Good video...i had Beelink N5095 the same situation and all that you told works fine for me...i back on My feet again...i tought that the mini PC and all data was lost.
On some XPS, after removing the battery, its gives error codes such as ram error, cpu error etc.TRy reseting SMC,by pressing and holding the power btn for 30 seconds and see what happens.Ofc battery and charger must be connected
The EC chip gets reset once you remove the cmos battery anyway. This was not a SIO/BIOS reset problem. Thanks for the comment!
@pc-mastor On paper yes, however some xps seem to have a will of their own.Happened to me some times.
@@dimitrismaster thanks for the tip!
very nice job i learned from you thank you sir i am happy to be from yours subscribed
its very nice you agin 😀😀😀😀😀😀 we miss you
For me, it also works when putting it on it's rightside. Flat and on the left side won't work.
But betteries replacement is worked properly or not ? please tell me
Appreciate your tutorial. Very helpful to prolong the life of this very useful product. Cheers.
Part 2?
You're right, really weird issue indeed
I like yours vedios Would you please upload more vedios .
Thank you! We're trying to upload interesting jobs , not very common. I'll do my best, but it depends on th work that is coming to the shop.
