Good information bro I need to check my SSD health for some day thanks ❤
That wasn't Matt's idea, WE MADE THOSE PROJECTORS when he wasn't even born, I've been making stuff like that way before Internet, and that's one of our designs, we didn't use LED because it wasn't developed as of today's standards, we used 400watts Metal Halide bulbs... And a 17" laptop screen... Here's a tip for you, forget what Matt said, the size of the light source matters, and contributes to the sharpness, the smaller the led the sharper the projected image. That's why your projector looked all blurry and you chose a bad Objective lens. That's why your corners are so dim... The mirror absorbs light so if you put your projector horizontal and (without the need for a mirror) you get a brighter image. I could go on and on. And change the title of your video: "I remade Matt's video."
I suggest adding a 'scoop' your fans to limit light spill from the box. And partition your box at the first fernel lense. Any light will reduce the perceived image brightness, especially if it's the same frequency and quality of light as the projection light. Like audio waves causing interference and unwanted aberrations
Well done, found your original video today and subbed you after seeing the other projects. Keep up the good work
To speed up threading you can put your bolt or threaded rod in a chuck of a drill and hold the nut with wrench or pliers. Don't use bare hand. The threads can pinch or cut the skin with the nut. Yup you learn that lesson once 😂

Very informative
I’ve been some research and many new nvme drives (WD SN850 is one) use the system memory (RAM) instead of onboard ssd dram. Given the high speeds of ddr5 will these drives be just as fast?
HMB provides to storage data via ram and it only uses 64mb of it (for cache) which is very lack of it
@@umumut_i know im late but the sn580 uses a 200mb buffer so it outperforms some dram drives in some cases
@@seth9993 i wouldn't buy dramless ssd tho
0:03 oh god, i sooo wish 250 GB SSD with DRAM was available in m.2 form factor too. 'cz the >= 500 GB ones are costly - and i just can't justify spending out-of-budget money on smth i don't even need.
transcend MTE245S
wht not 500gb?
whats the full cost
this video is very similar to tech quickie what its dram
Brilliant thanks!!

Nice! I want to try building this and laser cutting the sheet metal on my university's cutter.
This was really insightful. All this seems so simple but we never even realize it.
Nice video! It's good to see a real build of it!
i have that 500gb crucial SSD i just ordered the samsung 970 plus m.2 and i cant wait as its my first and i know it will be so fast. i was looking at 980 too and found 970 plus to be better at gaming.
tbh i havent really noticed on windows start up with windows installed on the crucial mx500 vs samsung 970 plus. i mean they both fast but not noticeable to me.
Anything else noticed with the dram ??
@@TTURKI the lifespan of ssd
@@zt0rmx477which one better?
@@jokok2333 with DRAM
I have to say, the difference between DRAM and DRAM-less is noticeable. My i5 2500 with Dram SSD is as fast as, or even snappier than my i5 12400 in normal work (not heavy work). 😂 That's 10 generation difference. Get the Dram guys. You won't regret it.
Thanks what if ryzen5 5600h 8x8 RAM , Using for adobe and video editing gaming? Dram or dram less
100 % I agree with you DRAM is faster and better , I can feel that with the performance of my Samsung 970 evo plus on my laptop , everything open and launch in blink of eye and transfer files are very fast , I had in the past an old crappy nvme from Toshiba 256GB gen 3 drive came with the laptop it doesn't have DRAM cache also reading and writing speed are not fast like 1200MB/s/1000MB/s , transfer files windows launch is not good for nvme then I replace it with 970 evo plus 1TB from Samsung and get solid speed 3,500/3,300 MB/s all the time , everything change after that to the best performance , amazing maximum speed for gen 3 drive fast transfer files launch and loading games are super fast , I would say SSD with DRAM is much faster and much better than SSD without DRAM and it does worth the money you spend , last thing I want to say always make sure to buy SSD with TLC as this type is more reliable better peformance and have longer lifespan than QLC SSD
@@aayushx1610always dram
Only on sata
It's a different case when it comes to nvme storage though. Dram vs dramless can more or less trade blows in performance. A good example of a top performing dramless nvme is the lexar nm790. It's just as fast, if not sometimes even faster than my adata legend 960 max which has dram. Both are pcie gen 4 nvmes.
Damn this fool just straight up stole the graphics from a Linus tech tips video

The way you explained the different measurements between the different lenses helped a lot as it made it easier to understand what focal lengths and sizes I actually need
Is the focus layer really necessary?
Does the HMB work with macOS?
i just switched from crucial BX500 to crucial MX500 after understanding the meaning of DRAM.
Is it worth it?

How do I change maps in a server and keep player progression?
In order to provide the ability to adjust the image down, for instance, if this was going to be ceiling mounted, would the mirror component be the only piece that would need to be adjustable? And does this give you native 1080 P resolution?

Do you believe that this old standard will work on ssd? If a transistor it shorts out, it usually happens instantly
Having a steam OS release outside of the steam deck would probably suck because well for one you can't really install Linux on an Nvidia card that's the reason for that video of Linus tarbled himself flipping off Nvidia.
