Yeah that’s understandable, I do eventually want to get either a drop in turbo or go garret turbo so that’s why if I do choose an intercooler now, I want it to be something I wouldn’t have to touch if I go that route

@@timothysarin whichever one you decide to get, I highly recommend to do the charge pipes at the same time. The oem ones wear out quickly because of their composition versus the after market silicone ones.

I heard about the throttle body coupler that will usually rip and tear so I’ll def get the charge pipes and just do it all in one go

Yessir I installed the top factory heat shield, the ptp blanket on the downpipe will help keep the heat in and not escape out to nearby components so I think it does the job the same if not alittle better if anything

They’re holding up great! No issues and still looks brand new, hasn’t shifted in any way and still works as it should 👍🏽 it’s been about 1 year and a half so far already, can’t complain at all

You’re not wrong, the upfront cost is always higher on these batteries but worth it for basically being maintenance free for 7-9 years, on top of you can spend $500-$1,000 on carbon parts too but won’t shed no where near 20 pounds

@Jahalang82 oh it’s def worth it for the unsprung weight, my girls 2023 HRV battery I think is already going dead and she’s only had the car for 1 years and like 3 months, her startups are a little slow, this battery starts my car up super quick, like surprisingly quick lol, the restart feature is also a plus if/when the battery is low and you need a jump start, the two key fobs they give you lets you jump start the car from the outside by yourself, some of these newer cars if the batteries dead you can’t even open your trunk or doors

I don’t know exactly what makes it super lightweight process wise from the company but what @sssmeee said, it’s a lithium ion battery which are usually wayyy lighter than regular lead acid batteries, it’s still safe and reliable, the cost upfront is going to be wayyy more expensive than the lead acid counterpart but overtime the lithium battery is cheaper as these batteries will last you about 7-9 years than the lead acid batteries now a days lasting sometimes 2-5 years depending. This battery is basically maintenance free you don’t really have to do anything to keep it running as it’s smart enough to turn off fully when the car is off, kind of like a laptop in sleep mode, it’ll know and won’t drain itself completely dry

Basically when you shift through the gears and accelerate aggressively the engine will have some slop and movement and the wheels will also “hop” if you hear the word wheel hop that’s exactly it, the tires aren’t getting enough traction when driving aggressively usually through 1-3rd gear, a stiffer rear motor mount will reduce engine slop thus having the wheels/tires also be stable onto the ground giving better acceleration and grip on top of also having smoother shifts that I’ve noticed, the cons are a lot of NVH inside the cabin, which is unwanted noise and more rattles in the interior bc of how much stiffer everything is. You don’t have to go to a super stuff mount like the 27won race mount they also have a street mount, Perrin and PRL and a couple other brands also makes one
