Jogashima Island in Winter
On a winter morning, I saw the sunrise from the "Uma-no-se-domon" in the sea-eroded cave on Jogashima, which is located at the southern tip of the Miura Peninsula in Kanagawa Prefecture,Japan. The island has a coastline length of 4 km, an area of 0.99 km², an east-west width of about 1.8 km, and a north-south width of about 0.6 km, and is elongated from east to west. Japanese cormorants staying over the winter were also found on the quay.

I walked on the hiking trail where Mt. Fuji, the highest mountain in Japan, looks gorgeous. While waiting for the rising sun, the sea of clouds in Suruga Bay was wonderful. Mt. Fuji dyed in the setting sun was also beautiful at the end of the day. #japan #mountfuji #sigmafpl

In the 1953 Western movie Shane, the last scene of a boy Joey screaming "Shane, come back!" To Shane on a horse and leaving towards the mountains was memorable along with the movie music. ..
