    Hello after a lot of years ago Xd. I really need the setting jig of aluminum. I've got an mp260 from Wood Mizer and I can't make the fences in a straight line without it.

    I live close to Abbey Timber and they are my go-to supplier for all my materials. Anyone in southern Scotland or northern England looking for top quality material at competitive prices won't find better anywhere else. In the words of that famous song, "simply the best". Nothing is too much trouble for Willie Dobie and his team. They machined 50 sq metres of decking for me and let me borrow their trailer for a day to get it to the site and wouldn't accept any payment, I bet you wouldn't get that kind of service anywhere else.

      Hi This Chanel is not currenly monitored by abbey timber. I remember using both twin bagged extraction unit and then we upgraded to a large single fan system with a cyclon and outhouse collection silo.

    Hi, the sharpenning of a sawmil blade is mostly on the back and the deep between the tooth to remove the begins of little craks. You haven't to grind the front of the to like on a chainsaw.

    Hi, Thank you for good explaining. Do I have to use the Surface Planner (Jouinter ) before put the lumber on four sided planer/Moulder ?

    • @abbeytimbersawmill8589
      @abbeytimbersawmill8589 4 роки тому

      Thank you v much! I have a surface planer but i dont put boards trough as we make hundreds of square meters of cladding and flooring at once. We cut the logs into slabs with bark on both ends, then we kiln dry the timber first and edge it to the boards after drying so all shrinking and twisting happens before edging. so boards i put into the planer are essentially very square and straight.

      @@facundosepulveda286 its not a big industrial machine so it doesn't chew trough tonnes of timber. it can do up to 12m/min but id recommend going slower for more complicated profiles that take a lot of wood off at once to preserve the blades. it may be small but its easy fix, very reliable and has a great finish.

      Are you sawing in the cold?

    • @ivyoneel
      @ivyoneel 5 років тому

      We are sawing in the cold, but our cold is different from Slovenian and Russian cold! It only goes down to -10 during the day at worst, on avrage -3 -4, but it's extremely damp and windy!

    • @alextrunev8822
      @alextrunev8822 5 років тому

      In Russia, at -10, this machine already has problems. It freezes and shuts down.

    • @ivyoneel
      @ivyoneel 5 років тому

      @@alextrunev8822 we have had similar issues with relays freezing up over night. most of them are only rated up to zero degrees! the control panel can be fitted with heaters to prevent freezing, we are going to get ours fitted before winter. our biggest problem is that the saw is essentially outside just with a roof over, and i am sure its manufactured to be used indoors.

      It is very hard to tell! It really depends on what you are sawing, diameter of logs, timber species, your blade sharpness and whether or not you have to load or unload your deck on your own. If you email me on iva@abbeytimber.co.uk I can speak to our operator give you more detailed reply.

    what is the purpose of resawing into tich thin boards? that are they to be used for? thanks

    • @abbeytimbersawmill8589
      @abbeytimbersawmill8589 7 років тому

      @dixie03dixie Different customers want different things for different projects. Thin larch is suitable for steam bending and laminating. We supply a lot of rowing clubs with thin larch strips that are used to laminate a stem for their St. Ayles skiff. We also supply thin hardwood boards for lobster creel bottoms that are still used and very popular in East Lothian. Hope This helps. Iva

      thanks for your reply. that is neat that you guys were able to get involved in such a thing. i am taking over my fathers sawmill, and am always looking for ways to improve/expand! thanks again!

    • @abbeytimbersawmill8589
      @abbeytimbersawmill8589 7 років тому

      If you are looking to get this resaw it's kind of worth getting and if you already have it's worth keeping. Baker A resaw is primarily designed for pallet companies but we use it for multiple different tasks like pointing fence posts or pegs or picketing the fence and resawing feather edge cladding or fencing (you can tilt the conveyor). We hope you will find sawmilling very fulfilling! If you have any other questions or comments do not hesitate! Iva
