dont think they were very welcomed to hes flat .
Sounds frank zappyy!!
I just found two copies of this on vinyl at my favorite record store on clearance for 10$ each so i grabbed both of them on white vinyl to!! 🎉
Sabbaths most amazing songs are from Tony Martin. exceptional !!
I was at this show. Micks Birthday! Band was so solid. Mick Taylor was killer as you can hear
Sad to be fired from your own band that you formed and picked the guys
I give Tony lommi a big merit, because despite he lost part of some of his fingers on his right hand, he did a great job as a lead guitarist, he’s considered one of the best guitarist.
I tried tracking down this cd for a longtime....is it a shortprint? I looked on discog to no availability. Great show, love this period. Jorma rocks!
Interesting. I’m a millennial listening to this.
It was a sad demise for such a gifted musician. I think the Stones’ early recordings with BJ have stood the test of time remarkably well, his skill as a multi instrumentalist added a lot of variety & interest to their sound.
Alan Wilson is Jack of Diamonds ♦The Salesman Card corresponds to the Moon 🌕Card Happy Birthday to Alan Wilson of Canned Heat Merry Christmas Blessings and HUGS! 👑💜
Tony Martin really had sabbath on their toes. Out of this realm powerful. MAGIC
This show was at the Fillmore West, not the Fillmore Auditorium. It was the first show at the "new" Fillmore West facility at Van Ness Avenue and Market Street in San Francisco. Also on the same bill was the Butterfield Blues Band and Fleetwood Mac (original lineup without the girls).
You know you’ve hit bottom when Keef is telling you to get your act together.
Awesome song but didn't get promoted much probably because they were on I.R.S. records
I think the bassist is Lawrence Cottel.
what the hell is this?
I think it was a made-for-TV movie (for BBC) called "Stoned." I have it on a made-on-demand Blu-ray.
Was there... Fun night.
Greg Douglass on jungle love is a killer guitar
Steve miller is the best
Too polished for Sabbath
No. A very good sound for the 80s and 90s. I got thoroughly sick of the duo dramatic sound. This is just right. for its classic rock. Dio was theatre. Can't listen to him anymore.
They were not under the right management......rod had his thing going on side it was a mess BUT FACES DRANK ZEPPELIN UNDER TABLE SNIFFED OUT FLEETWOOD AND OUT SHAGGED ELVIS.....but more importantly out shone them all when they were on FORM.
Tommy and Steve together, 2 of my favorite rock artists of all time.
The Stones are still touring 55 years after Brian’s death.
The band Brian formed is still touring after 62 years. That's quite a legacy to have.
I was hitchhiking up the Pacific Coast Highway Summer of 1974 and stayed for a few days in San Francisco. After I eventually wound up back home in Detroit I decided to move back there for awhile to experience the city on a deeper level and one of my friends wanted to as well. Once we got there and found an apartment one of the first things I wanted to do was attend a concert at Winterland. My buddy didn't want to go for some reason so I went by myself and saw Traffic! Back in the day in Detroit I saw a lot of bands at the Eastown. I don't know who was in charge of the music but they would always play "I'm a man" before the show started. At the time I did not realize it was probably the Chicago version but I am not really sure. I always thought at the time it was the Spencer Davis group. Have always had a great admiration for Steve Winwood. His music is in a class by itself. So glad they have let this concert recording stay up on UA-cam. It's a real classic. Something to make us all happy indeed.
THANK YOU TONY!!! You've made me a much happier man with all your work. 🤘😎🤘 metaldog
I’ll say it because no one else will. Brian’s time was up. Great musician, poor human being. And yes he was murdered by frank thoughgood. But whilst he didn’t deserve murdering he created it himself.
No one else will say it because it's rubbish.
Love this..... Keep Resting Easy!
I was there! Boston was the opening act
the bands best period was without him unfortunately
Incorrect.
@@TheaterPup beggars banquet, sticky fingers, exile on main st ... get real dude
Nah mate.. after he left the stones suxed. A few songs after Brian were dead good, but that's it. I don't listen to the stones after Brian.
@@jonasvm Sounds like you need to broaden your knowledge of the Stones.
The most spiritual ending to any rock song I’ve heard. Makes the hairs stand on the back of my neck everytime
The live videos of Urgent, Waiting For a Girl Like You, and Jukebox Hero that got used as music videos are from this show.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Descending & Ballad in urgency, dos obras maestras con los mejores finales que una canción puede tener: Sentimiento puro... Gracias Eddie, te extrañamos ❤
I bet A BIG PART OF THE AGREEMENT WAS: DON' T ARREST GREGG ALLMAN FOR DRUG POSSESION, cause I will tell you what; greg would' nt sober yet... an he was HOLDIN'...😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Anyone else excited to see these albums re released officially?
I sure am!
Yes! HD remaster!
Me ,I was not that up on Tony Martin era but have been binge watching everything I can find for the last 2 months it is SO good and probably the most mature Sabbath have ever sounded love it!
Great cover!
Great show! It still feels like yesterday. It’s hard to believe it’s been 28 years. Thanks for posting, what a trip hearing this for the first time since the show itself all these years later!
This was my first show, ended up doing my first tour in '93.
£100k pay off plus £20k a year for as long as the band keep going??? Assuming the £20k was indexed linked, then based on 1968 monetary rates that was a pretty sweet retirement deal! It’s not like Brian even wrote any of the songs! …….shame he didn’t benefit from it in the end. 😢
Except he should have gotten credit on multiple songs.
VH with Hagar was simply the most diverse rock band ever. Heavy, sentimental, the antithesis of a one trick pony. I get goosebumps from every damn song they wrote.
Great song, great album. Terrible video.
What a classy bunch, how does one get kicked out of their group??? Just doesn't add up, come on, the guy might have liked getting high but everyone did during the 60's and 70's it just was the cool thing to do, lot of youngsters in these comments have no idea what they missed compared to the boring, do nothing, go nowhere, that today's generation is all about.
It always makes me laugh how someone can be fired from their own band. 😂
Then you have a problem.
From your mom. She was at this concert.
Heart was a well-oiled machine before they even hit it big! All those years of club gigs paid off. Incredible!
This bootleg by the great Rory Gallagher has always been for me the most brutal and genuine expression of 60's rock. From the moment I heard it, I have returned to that album again and again for decades as if it were my home. We could cite all the genres and subgenres of rock that this performance transcends, but the secret is something much simpler: this album is eternal because THE TRUTH is in it. Long live Rory.
All other sources say that this was recorded on 4 November 1968.
My favourite Black Crowes song. Just wish Chris wasn't so off his tits.
