Installing a Barred Owl Nesting Box
And I dropped the camera from 55ft... it survived!! That's why there's no footage of it being bolted in!!

Oh hi there! Amp was mic'd with a Shure SM57 and video was taken with a Panasonic HMC150..
My grandfather would play this song on his guitar while sitting in st Francis harbor guysbrough ns . Miss those days
Best place on earth.
This song has a lot of Cat Stevens/James Taylor vibes. I’m really digging it
Just looked it up on google maps, there's not even a train station in Guysborough, reckon the bloke in the song will be waiting a fair bit longer.
I think Stan knew that
@@janetbousquet4741 Now we all do.
Never been to guysburough. I've never even been to Canada. I'm 16. Stan Rodgers died almost 20 years before I was born. Yet, when I listen to his music, especially this song. I get nostalgia for a time I never lived. I mourn memories that were never mine. It's almost a religious expirience, like I'm remembering a past life. And I love every second of it.
@@jimhabsfan maybe there is hope for the country to have some young people who are going to have the intellectual capacity to be leaders.
Stan the best ever love this song ever thank you
Did Stan ever have a bad song? If he did, I never heard it.
I'm from guysborough
Now there's no train to Guysborough Or so the man said So it might be a good place to be... I sit in this station And I count up my change And I wait for the Guysborough train... Now I've sat in your kitchens And talked about walls And I've sung about your withering pain Shattered your temples And I've brought on your fall Now I wait for the Guysborough train... [Chorus] And I ride for all time, on the Guysborough line And I grow by the North County rain And the North Shore's begun, the man I've become In rags, on the Guysborough train... No train to Guysborough Now ain't that a shame Though I know there will be one in time And the house that's alone It soon will be gone Razed for the Guysborough line [Chorus] People are simple Like the rain clouds sweet Both grown by that North County rain The Interval is clear Will it soon disappear Under the Guysborough train? [Chorus]
I've loved this song. Tonight every lyric is metaphoric to my life. The words might mean something different to everyone but that is what art is. I love this guy.
The kitchen he refers to was mine.......
@@kimberlymairjarvis8341 I live in Maryland. I have the book that was a paper for a Master's degree. Stan carried this same book with him. So if you knew Stan, you need to get Garnet's book. Garnet knows us, Best Mike
As long as I've loved Stan, I've never heard this wonderful song!
The guysborough railway was going to run in front of the house my grandfather grew up in but now thanks to another liberal promise it's the trans Canada trail running in front of Grampies house!
Huge Stan rogers fan. Never heard this song till today, and boy it was worth the wait.
The Guysborough train tracks actually ran right behind my grandfathers house he grew up in. The railway is now part of the TCT ( trans canada trail )
late one rainy night [much like tonight !!] I just happened across this glad I did !!
bonjour je m'appelle damien delolme je cherche une guitare epihone sheraton en gaucher
Are there any owls in it now??
I'm not saying this is the land of milk and honey. Just saying that I can make a go of it here - it still sucks and I'd just as soon be home.
ya i really miss him
I wait for the Guysborough Train...Skrabster! ;-)
I often take these night shift walks when the foreman's not around...
I turn my back on the coolin' stacks and make for open ground
@@trentonbarton809 Far out beyond the tank farm fence where the gas flare makes no sound, I forget the stink and I always think back to that eastern town.
@@nicholasoak8709 I remember back, 6 years ago
Fuck yes!
i miss him to so much i am going home to halilfax soon
Glad i'm not the only one. It busts me up everytime I hear him.
Totally agree with you. Memories flood back of hearing about it..and writing back and forth with his Mom sharing our grief.....
Why did I move to Saskatchewan from Guysborough? Oh wait, I have steady work out here for as long as I want it whereas in Guysborough I'd be on the pogey.. Still sucks though..
just happened across this!! Know of a sweet lass from GUYSBOROUGH! now should i attempt a cover !? ENJOY THE NIGHT!!
I have this CD and on the insert, there is a note regarding this recording, that it is only a "bed track"! This is another example of Stan's mastery of music!!
God, we miss you, Stan.
There's still no train to Guysborough.
YES! owls our wise
Stan was indeed the man...and died a heroes death! Canada needs to formally recognize this mans contribution to the fabric of Canada.
I love this song. Not only because I was born and still living in Guysborough.
Thats Groovy Can u send me some tabs of that?
Nice playing,i put my sherry through a hot deluxe...the Super Champ sounds class too! Check out my vids if your thinking of changing pu's...the sound is't great via youtube but it might give you some comparison...keep up the good work, you look like your a good blues player!
This is one of the most phenomenal songs I have ever heard. Just simply gorgeous.
I first heard this tune on a CD a Cape Breton teacher gave me while we were in Japan. Still have the CD but lost contact with the teacher.
every time you play that song, you connect with that teacher. Really.
Stan was the man, this song gives me the chills everytime!
What are the backing chords?
