Thyroid storm is no joke. It happened to me twice that im aware of, at least once before i was diagnosed with graves and once after the diagnosis . Thyroid storm can kill you

To be extremely honest it's very possible that you never had graves disease but rather thryroditis which is a temporary state from stress or some inflammatory factor and it would have resolved naturally after a bit of methinazole

I followed your hyperthyroidism story and I have always wondered because people say that you can’t conceive if you have or had hyperthyroidism and I give glory to God for u and yours. God is able. I am believing for healing too been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and am not ready for radiation neither surgery. I am believing God 🙏

I’m 25 and just got diagnosed yesterday with Graves. I have an appointment to see the endocrinologist in about two weeks. I’m really praying God heals me and mine will also go into remission.

Thank you for sharing your story. I remember it was my last semester of my junior year and I went to my primary care doctor and she ran blood work and her and everybody else was so scared because my blood work was out of whack. He sent me to a endocrinologist and this man and his assistant tries to force me to either do radioactive iodine treatment or a thyroidectomy and I was only 22 years old. I have the spirit of discernment that God gave all of us and I said absolutely not this is not what I want for myself. I immediately stopped seeing him and I was spying for about another year because I was diagnosed in 2021. Mind you in 2019 I was actually diagnosed with hypothyroidism but I didn't have any symptoms I was just fine. Fast-forward to 2022 my first semester of my senior year I had a mini thyroid storm and I was not feeling good. I had to call my sister to be down here with me and I was sick for about 2 weeks straight. I went to the emergency room and he said you have hyperthyroidism and gave me medication. I've been taking the medication for about going on two months now. I have definitely decided that I'm not going to do the options the endocrinologist gave me. I am going to put my faith in God and I already believe the stressors in my life. I'm focused on eating healthy which I never did prior to being diagnosed. Also I did not take anything seriously before I thought I was invincible. I know for a fact and I'm anemic so now I'm taking iron medication. I also know that when I eat I need to sit up and not lay down. I'm eating healthy now and getting a lot of sleep. I don't have heart racing problems or hand shaking. But everybody symptoms is different which is very correct. But you really motivated me because I've decided that I'm going to stick to taking methimazole 4 a year Lord willing less than that. I'm really reading up about my condition and doing everything I can to get this into remission. It's not only about me getting it into remission it's about me remaining healthy after that and not going back to my old habits. I'm seeing a new endocrinologist in June and I already know that when I walk in there I'm letting him know I'm not doing the options y'all give me I just want you to check and monitor my blood work and keep me on my same medication.

Wow I had the same symptom, I called my best friend for help and I couldn't speak. I could think but it wouldn't come out. For a few weeks it was like everything was on the tip of my tongue but couldn't say it. My MRI and CT was clean, because initially they thought it was a TIA (which can happen with Hyperthyroidism combined with an irregular heartbeat. except my heartbeat wasn't irregular). Finally they said it was a type of Aura Migraine brought on by the thyroid storm. I then got diagnosed with Graves a week later.
