I drove 2020 F350 DRW 6.7 for 60k miles and was waiting for 2023 F450 Limited for 11 months. With no end in sight, I jumped the ship and purchased 2023 Ram 3500 Limited DRW HO 6.7 , Aisin Trans, 4.1 Gear. I had full body Suntek PPF and Ceramic coating plus nano ceramic tint for interior including the windshield. I am overly surprised how good is Ram 3500 Limited. It has better interior, smoother with auto leveling kit, TPMS, Apple like keypad. Gas mileage is par with F450 Limited. Around 15.5 driving empty. Tire will be cheaper on Ram 3500 than F450 Limited. It is not a fast truck, but fast enough . I can drive few hours and my back doesn't hurt and leg is not cramping up. I do not tow, but do haul some weight and this is my daily vehicle. I will take the Ram over Ford now but do miss 10 speed on gas mileage. I am 5'10" tall and it is very hard to see the front. On Ram, I usually have to wait before taking a chance on a tight spot.
Price?
It was about 5k, not including install or tires or alignment
What is your ride quality like? I run Michelin Defenders on my 2500, night and day from stock. Trying to find tire specs for a 3500 limited mega with air suspension,im looking to aquire soon.
Compared to stock, it rides amazing. Also compared to a non dually 3500 it is alot more comfortable, although it is still a HD truck.
Does it snow by you?
About 20 minutes from me it snows
Where is UA-cam finding these in experienced builders at!? For real tho, if your towing heavy do not run this set up, if pulling any kinda load do not run this set up!! 37’s there is no way
Delmonico red night edition is bad ass
I love it the black factory wheels look really good. I’m buying a 2024 3500 and I just wanted to see how it looked like on factory wheels cause I’m not looking to spend money on new wheels.
Looking good!
What kinda mpg are you seeing unloaded?
Unloaded is mid 17s. My buddy has the exact same truck with stock tires and we did a 600 mile plus drive, filling up at the same station to begin with and following eachother...at the final fill up we took exactly the same amount of fuel to top off. So contrary to our previous thoughts, the bigger tires didn't effect (highway) fuel economy
Looks really good, man. I'm assuming you went with a 3" lift and leveling kit, yeah? I've got a 2007.5 ram 3500 DRW megacab G56. I've been diving down the rabbit hole to get a better stance and appearance without sacrificing on the towing. We've got a 11k lb 5th wheel camper, and i regularly haul my dump trailer with this truck. How heavy do you tow? Is that 2.5" spacer enough when you get 2k lbs of pin weight over the axle?
I have 2023 3500 DRW HO 6.7 and does not tow buy do carry payloads up to 4k lbs.. Do you think 37x12.5 x 17 with 2 1/2" spacer with 3" lift and leveling kit will work for my case? I have never put the larger tires nor lift the truck before, would this create more maintenance headaches for the future?
How are they wearing?
They wear evenly and I got about 25k miles out of the first set, those were toyo at3s. Towing heavy definitely reduces lifespan, but without going to commercial 19.5 wheels and tires, that's about as good as I'll get. These current tires are falken atw3 and have 5k miles on them and look brand new
What brand wheel spacers?
The company is called US wheel adapters. They are steel, hubcentric, 2 inch thick
Thanks for sharing this! Really nice setup and beautiful truck… the colors look amazing 👍
Damn she sexy!!!
"Promo SM"
why do you sound massively depressed
Lol probably because I spent 300 on a hammer... in reality its just the cadence of my voice.
@@jmazingo lol! just joshin ya, also good pick on the hammer

Heavy wall sq. tubing, CURE
Yeah, that's what I ended up doing. I was just wondering why it doesn't come upgraded already with an expensive trailer
I made new jack legs with 2" square tubing with 1/4" wall for mine. The trailer will break before the jack legs will
Thickest tubing I could find locally that fit was 1.75" with 3/16th walls.
Get machinist to make them more sturdy. Js get them built out of better materials.
I don't understand why the trailer doesn't come with stabilizer Jack's made of better material. For the price of the trailer, those should be solid shank
Nice trailer.
Pro tip for next time. If you just take a pencil and cross out the 3000 lb rating and write in 6000 lbs it will be able to hold it. The sticker is what holds the weight.
Great looking truck. I’m working my way to a similar set up. My ‘22 just got finished having the dreaded k1 snap ring repair done on the transmission. Now that it’s back I can make some changes. What gear ratio is your truck? I have 3.73s and was worried 37” tires would goof up it’s towing ability. Also, would a shorter spring combo work OK in the front? I find that even with the factory air, my truck squats 1/2” when loaded, making it ride pretty much level. Finally, how much better is the ride vs stock? Thanks for the video!
The truck has 4.10 gears and so I have not had any problem with towing with the 37" tires. I also have a 2018 3500 single rear wheel that is 3.73 gears on 35s and it pulls fine but driving both back to back the difference in rpm range and shifting is noticeable. The 3.73 gets much better fuel economy and cruises low in the rpms at 80, but the 3.73 doesn't know if it wants to be top of 2nd or bottom of 3rd and kinda searches for the right gear when towing uphill. Compared to the 4.10s acceleration is better and towing rpm is better. The 4.10 doesn't search for gears going up grade and just holds and pulls through. The suspension does make a difference, everyone comments how smooth the truck rides compared to other 1 tons. Probably a combination of the tire size and psi as well as the suspension. Lastly I believe if you get a shorter spring, it limits the travel of the shock which could increase roughness or likelihood to bottom out.
Thanks for the detailed response! Did you address the speedometer and change it for the taller tire? What is the bedrail height now that you have the 37s? I’m trying to keep it as close to stock as possible, but the stock tires are just so tiny!
@shanewilliams1155 You can get a tuner that changes tire size, an example would be alfa odb. It is possible to use an aftermarket tuner like edge or ezlink to recalibrate tire size. If you don't recalibrate then the truck runs about 6-7mph slower, so 53mph on the speedometer would radar at 60mph. Only benefit of not doing recalibration is you rack up less miles on your trucks odometer. As for the bed rail hieght, mine is right at 60 inches. There are no problem towing 5th wheel or gooseneck.
@@jmazingo Right on. Thank you for the Info! We will be upgrading to a 5th Wheel next spring, so I don't want to get carried away and put my self in a bad spot with it being too high. I'm still thinking I'll do a slightly shorter front spring. I find that my truck only has about 3/4" rake with the factory air, and when I put my trailer on it, it levels out, but it still has a sag of about 1/2" from best I can measure. Your truck might act a bit different, my 2015 2500 with factory air didn't sag at all. I really just want to keep the nose lower than the rear as best I can. I'll be sure to change the tire size, I can't be trusted to remember 7mpg! :) Does anyone know, if you change your speedo, does it help the Aisin find the gears better or would I just need to re-gear to a 4.30 to get back to my 3.73, or something like that?
@@shanewilliams1155 Not sure about changing the speedo specifically with an ausin. I didn’t get a HO with the aisin because aisins are not ‘tunable’ or adjustable with tunes, which (in my case) defeated the whole purpose of removing the garbage emissions from factory.
What suspension upgrades??
Thuren 2.5-3 inch springs, fox 2.0 shocks all around and factory air bags. Thuren sway and track bar. Fox ats lower steering stabilizer.
@@jmazingolooks great brother went the same but with carli hopefully it rides well
@crookersfunk it rides great with or without a trailer. The Carli kit was backordered like 9 months when I bought the truck in 22, so I went with thuren which CJC off road said was comparable.
@jmazingo are there tires and rims to get for a 2016 ram dually to make it look this good with some stick out without adding spacers and keeping it somewhat stock
Badass truck I love the light setup got the same on mine but no suspension yet 😭
Lucky if you didn't bend your axles. Why do this to yourself?
We were on a job less than a mile from the concrete recycling plant, so we loaded it heavier than we should have. Yes very luck to not have broken or bent an axle or popped a tire
Front set up? I got a 94 ranger 4.0, with 31s
It has equal length I beams 6 inches over with king 2.5 coilovers and 33x12.5 general tire x3s
badass 🔥
I can't wait to get out there myself
Suspension specs?
Trailer needs a raise lol
Hell yeah

The art of the 1 wheel peel
How come no one ever just keeps doing donuts? Get that steering wheel in the right position and y'all can just swing it around and around, all in one spot!😃👌
Back in the late 80's my friend had a torino it had a baby 302. And to my surprise it ran very well 14'teens in the 1/4 mile.
A one wheel peel lmao!
It’s limited slip it doesn’t fight as hard as posi
And no they’re not the same
No burnouts without posi.
That is gorgeous, great color.
Is that a '70 Gran Torino? I'm usually way better at making out the vehicle, as soon as I see it.
It's a 70 but a grand torino didn't come out until 72
Be a Torino GT
I'd say a gt. My dad has a yellow 70 torino cobra 429scj
