The Memphis Belle- The Final Chapter in Memphis (B-ROLL FOOTAGE)
Переглядів 9964 роки тому
With the huge interest in the Memphis Belle and B-17’s in general, Last Train to Memphis thought it would be a good idea to release B-roll footage from “The Memphis Belle- The Final Chapter in Memphis” documentary. This is rough, un-cut footage that was not used in the final documentary because of shaky camera, jump shots, out of focus or it just didn’t work for the story and ended up on the “c...

Excellent production. Very interesting and entertaining. I was there.
If it is the same guy, he played at my daughter’s wedding a year ago this Tuesday, in the Florida keys! He is awesome!!!!!!!!!
Little mama is a weird thing to say… especially for a local DJ. They do the same thing for Del Shannon’s Runaway, they call it Little Runaway, or “My Little Runaway.” It’s just Runaway.
The song was called "Thats All Right Mama" not little mama...and the guitar that started Rock and Roll was played by guitarist Danny Cedrone with Bill Haley and the Comets on the record "Rock The Joint" from 1951 and then on "Crazy Man Crazy" in 1953 and then "Rock Around the Clock" recorded in 1954. George Klein needs to go back and do his homework on Rock and Roll history...
Memphis State Campus School , I went to that school in the 6th grade !( in 1972 to ‘73)
The footage of Mall Of Memphis is the best, long gone , torn down, but not forgotten !
good interview. important point is Elvis had a above average menory at least for music. that impressed Scotty. Elvis knew what he was foing at least somewhat right from the start. Elvis first songs were sung the same way by Elvis as he just repeated what worked. important. I don't agree Scotty or Bill mattered to the accomplishment of elvis. They were irrelevant. I don't agree Tock has anything to do with Gispel, RN, or country. rock is just acceleration sounds mimicing human acceleration sounds that come from excitment.
I remember all of this the restaurant, the pool, the garden, the club, all of it. It’s hard to imagine that Memphis once had enough class for a place like this to exist. The place has really gone to hell.
The last part of te fils was 3rd st
As far as I know, M113 use a differential braking (cletrac system), using a brake to planetary differential to make a regenerative turn (one track faster one track slower) and since its using a brake to change direction it actually only has 1 radius only, my question is how come it is smoothly driven like you drive a car on the street?
I live in Memphis and wanted to know if u got any footage of poplarplaza and or Germantown TN.
Not yet, but we get submissions all the time so check back.
No drive by shooting, older people got respect and no drugs on the streets of Memphis. Children cared about an education, those were the days.
That’s alright “Little Momma”? I cannot find that song 😝
1983-85 at Panzer Kaserne. 1/16th Infantry. The "Iron Rangers" We road marched these all over southern West Germany. 28:29
were can i buy one of those tank .....
Ich bin 1981 mit dem M113 durch den Fluss Lahn geschwommen. Ich September war ich mir meinem 113 beim Reforger Manöver dabei.
That was quite a story ... love it.
I drove yhe 113 i had a 114a2 with a 20mm cannon systems on it we rebuilt the engine bord and stoke it dam thing do 40 easy but it had fire power we welded a 50 cal mount on it got in trouble but u had the 50 mounted like the 60 cal machine gun opposite side 3 cav bliss
Sad to see the decline of the city
Wonderful recreational vehicle, Had one in the Cav and loved it.
Whats Alex Tavern
I enjoyed this. Grew up there during this era.
I gotta pee
We would not have rock and rock without these guys
GK is SO painful to watch and listen to, but I'm glad we have this piece of history via Scotty!
❤ Colonel Parker was right and bored down to get the most money and leave town.
❤ He could have made better movies. But the bottom line was money and how I would but and the colonel was right. It's all about the money and buy watches old movies anymore.
❤ That guitar has got a lot of history. Where is it today?

Ich bin hin und weg von den beiden Legenden der Geschichte - sie werden fehlen, wenngleich es nur die Generation betrifft, die sie kannte.
Was it in the showroom or window, Scotty? Almost like a trial.
Surprised George didn't say " I put it to you scotty, you can't remember or you are pretending not to remember which is it😝
Rockabilly was coined in rhe song Rock Billy Boogie by Johnny Burnette & His Rock 'n' Roll Trio
Rocky and Billy are the sons of the Burnette brothers. Billy is Dorsey's son and Rocky is Johnny's. Rocky had a hit in the summer of 1980 with 'Tired of Toein' the Line' and Billy is best known for joining Fleetwood Mac in the late 1980s. The song that their fathers did was called 'Rock Billy Boogie' sometimes known as 'Rockabilly or RockaBilly Boogie' and that's the name that stuck especially to the sound that came out of Memphis in the mid 1950s.
Can we get them surplus now? I so want to have one!
Jimmie Rodgers 1928 - had his name inlayed on a Martin fretboard.
Indeed! GK might have had notes, but it sure seems like he hasn't much knowledge.
Wow, what an amazing story. I´d heard of Ardent, but had know idea how many great artists had recorded there. I just joined a project with Jim Kahr who recorded at Ardent in 2019. I had to learn the music from that album "Find My Way Home". Being a pro-drummer, and having a studio of my own, I was very impressed with the sound, especially the drum sound. Absolutely amazing!!!! Steve Potts was playing on the album, and it was produced by the legendary Jim Gaines. That´s what made me do a search, and find this video. Thanks for all the great music!!!
RIP John. Thank you and Dana for believing in us.
I still gotta pee.
Historic interview with Scotty who helped shape Elvis' revolutionary sound. Thanks!
Lucky fellow. Haven't been in the drivers hatch for 45 years. It was an M-125a1 Motar Carrier.
Was a driver for the M125A1 and eventually became a gunner... Great days 👍
That was such a treasure. What a gentleman Scotty was.
Fantastic!
Sat on the drivers hatch while cruising in Viet Nam in '68, 5th Mechanized Infantry Division.
Ive never forgotten the sound of these Bad Boys, I rode in these many times, we would usually go out in 4 of them, 10 men per 113, I was impressed how well they ran, climbed and went through mud. Ours all had a .50 Cal on them, we would go out to Company Training Area's and practice loading and unloading, Great Vehicles, was also in LAAVs
Great interview
Without Scotty We wouldnt know Elvis as The King . I firmly Believe that .
This is great Rock and Roll history! I just don’t care for the interviewer, he should ask questions, and not force answers, or imply things , because I think he was missing some tidbits 🤷
You do know that the interviewer is George Klein; one of Elvis' greatest friends who went to high school with him? He was huge radio and television star in Memphis.
And yet he kept saying "That's All Right LITTLE Mama" which is not how the song goes. @@deborahstevens9763
The engine's sound is touching my soul❤❤❤
Great warriors and bad ass bomber that are not forgotten.
Rest Well in heaven granddad. 03/25/2023
