In my playthrough the Mexico content ended on the most exciting cliffhanger I have seen in recent times. The problems of the Country became to much and it had to turn to thr only saviour left...Germany.

The new supply hub at 1:45:18 was excellently positioned for assisting with frontline supplies. In addition, being only 2 tiles away from the intially badly supplied Barcelona airfield, the supply hub will greatly boost air mission efficiency for any airplanes that get stationed there. Air mission efficiency is capped by supply percentage. If an airfield's supply is only 40%, then airwings stationed there will have at most 40% supply efficiency, and will be easy victims to enemy airplanes. If, once the new supply hub is in effect, the airfield's supply is at 80% instead of at 40%, airplanes based there will suddenly perform twice as well. The reason why the German advance into the Soviet Union is so slow is that the German AI is not building the supply hubs that it should. A new supply hub 1 or 2 tiles behind the frontline helps army divisions a lot. A new supply hub at or adjacent to an airfield helps out airwings a lot. Even a supply hub that is two tiles away from an airfield usually works out for an airfield if the supply hub's delivery is set to make 50% or 100% of deliveries by truck instead of by horse. Technically, it is not how many tiles away a supply hub is away from an airfield, but the distance. With the tiny tiles in France, horse delivery might have a radius of 2 tiles, but some tiles in Siberia horse-only delivery might not even have a radius of 1 tile, particularly if Infrastructure is only level 0 or level 1. The German AI too often assumes that the lands that it conquers will have good supply hub placement, and assumption that is usually false for the Soviet Union. One other thing that might help your airplanes is anti-air facilities. An airfield near the frontline will ideally be in a state that has level 2 or higher anti-air. Check to see if anti-air in the state that contains Barcelona is level 2 or higher.
