Talktalk - Where the CEO office fails, the regulators prevail!This is a follow up concluding the extremely poor service provided by TalkTalk in Feb 2023.

I referred to the CEO complaints team, with shocking results. Definitely NOT what I was expecting. Definitely not a normal reply from an escalated complaint to the CEO team. In hindsight maybe I was a little harsh this 'CEO complaints manager' but someone in such a position should NEVER LIE or exhibit such incompetence in order to cover for their company. It’s totally unacceptable.
Thankfully TalkTalk are regulated, but even still the outcome was not exactly what I wanted.

    My experience with Talk Talk has been totally depressing. They are a useless shower. Nobody actually wants to fix a problem. They never actually do anything except ask you to explain your issue. They then put you on hold for ages, then pass you to someone else who does the same. I was going to write to the CEO but it seems there’s no point.

    Why keep giving TalkTalk custom? Surely this experience would make even the most loyal customer switch to another provider. Vodafone is bad but it's still one hell of a step up from TalkTalk, let alone some of the other options out there.

      Its a good question, reason mainly is I work from home and dont wanna risk an uninterrupted connection as it would cause me a load of problems. Over last year though theyve actually been decent, funnily enough

    Thank you for posting this. my experience with Talk Talk has been awful. These companies need calling out! We are paying for a service and are consistently disrespected by incompetent agents! Time to vote with our feet!

      Telephony password is the first verification they can offer in live chat to have seamless verification. Who the heck trained them as they are not giving customer to speak too.

      Moreover, they should've not advised you to call back after creating telephone password. Because they can refresh their tools and boom! your telephone password recently created will reflect on their tools to be used in verification. They will ask the 1st and second or any 2 order letters of your telephony password. Really annoying voice customer service. It is better to chat.

      Reason why i don't like chat is because it forces you to have to sit there, for over an hour sometimes. At least with a call i can get up and do other things that need doing, you know? Just wondering, Do you work for TalkTalk?

    Literally two weeks ago I called TT to cancel with a view to going to virgin, mainly because they offered optical cable right to the door. I didn’t realise that TT could also supply this service, they absolutely bent over backwards to keep me and like you offered a fantastic deal, if I call TT I always say cancellations, they seem to be a lot better in that team. I think to be fair whilst TT are pretty bloody awful to deal with and your 3 hour post clearly shows this, I don’t think any other suppliers are any better and I think the problem is the outbound call centres. If you can find a provider with U.K. call centre that is very rare. When I listen to your original post, which by the way is not unique, this is how everyone’s call goes, but I think isn’t anyone at TT listening to this and if they are how the hell can they think it’s ok, it’s just beyond belief, anyway Thanks for these post it’s interesting to me

    I have the telephone number of talktalk ceo but unfortunately Woke Tube won’t allow me to put it here, I’ve put it on your twitter feed. Omg listening on to your problem, it makes me cringe so sorry for you, I’ve dealt with TT for many years and you have to bypass the outsourced call centres they are really terrible, but in fairness you would have all these problems with all the other providers. I’ve tried the number I’ve sent you on twitter and it’s still active, write that number down and only ever talk to them via that number. I think you’ll find on that number they are all U.K. based. I hope you get the number good luck mate

Ill defo make a note of this, it would be good for the viewers also because I suspect we arent the only ones suffering with thier inability to handle simple queries in a quick timeframe. Just one other point, whenever I call TT When they say say in a few words what you want. Always say CANCELLATIONS. They generally have a better way of dealing with you if you’re thinking of leaving.       They really are dreadful. Cheap and not so cheerful i suppose. Nearly left them for Onestream but they lured me back with off i couldnt refuse. Though i suspect the same headache will arise next renewal. Though next time i will take a different approach and let you all know it went

      You are right in what you are saying. I nearly did and they lured me back in. And because i work from home didnt wan to risk the downtime as woudl have resulted in lost wages. But after this and the prolongued BS im STILL going through with them, I really should leave them entirely

    Hi. Sorry for the hassle you went through for the annual payment plan renewal. Couldn't they put the renewal option in "My Account" under "plan renewal" and then click "Pay now" then a card payment screen comes up. That would be so easy.

      Hi Marc, I know, right? Would be so much easier if they had the renewal option in My Account. The fact that its hidden on thier own site and unavailiable in My Account leads me to believe they are purposefully hiding it, to encourage people to take pay monthly deals, as it makes them more money in the long run! Ive told them this before and they never refuted it.

      @@customerserviceservant I had an ongoing battle with talk talk for 16 months. I was hoping that it would amount to talk talk taking me to court, which I would have welcomed, since I had enough evidence that would have nailed talk talk to the wall. A contract by law is an agreement between a company and a client that is supposed to work both ways, but not with talk talk, they use the agreement like a ransom note, and are under the delusion that they can treat customers however the hell they want to, simply because they think that they can charge you for a cancellation fee. But to cut a very long story short, talk talk decided it wasn’t in their best interests to take me to court. I left a another review for them recently on trustpilot that they’ve left well alone,😂 I detest talk talk with a vengeance because customers are nothing more than victims to them. The following is the original complaint, which I also sent to the ombudsman. Talk Talk have continuous tried to charge me £172.05, for cancellation of a broadband package that had not been installed by TALKTALK.I cancelled this provider as I considered broadband speeds of 12.1 MBPS unacceptable.I need not remind you that a reliable internet connection was an essential utility during the year 2020 with regard to education, my sons online tutoring had been consistently interrupted by a continuous disconnection of the internet, I informed TalkTalk of my intention to leave after many failed attempts to resolve these issues, unfortunately I allowed myself to be talked into signing up to a fibre broadband package that was never installed, nor was any new router delivered to my address, I’ve tried to contact TalkTalk but they continuously cut off my calls. I feel as though I’ve been the victim of a con, the failure to install the agreed new connection was the last straw for me. I would like a prompt resolution to this ongoing problem as I consider the constant demand for this unwarranted penalty to be nothing short of harassment, a letter of deadlock was sent to talk talk on the 26/4/2021 at 16:24 via recorded delivery, I have received no response to this letter. I can provide proof for my claims with regard to recorded broadband speed, my numerous calls will be easily traceable, ( if indeed calls are monitored for training and monitoring purposes. Among others. I trust that a swift resolution of this issue can be dealt with by yourselves, I feel that this issue has been going on long enough, I am now going to request a resolution through the communication ombudsman. Did you get anywhere with the coms ombudsman? That’s the next step for me. I’ve just exhausted the CEO / Complaints route and encountered the most useless ‘complaints manager’ I’ve ever dealt with (a video is well on its way regarding this). Your definitely right, they have no respect for customers and their incurred losses (as a result of their dreadful service) whatsoever. If the ombudsman route doesn’t work, I think civil court action mat well force their hand, though it is a bit of a faff to setup. Shame we have to resort to such action, ey?

      😂shocking telephony from a communications provider...This is the result of outsourcing call centres 6000 miles away to Durban. Bad lines, delays and apprently no idea on how to service a simple payment call 🤣

    Talk Talk tried to charge me £170 for cancelling my contract with them. But they soon gave up after I sent them the two months of screen recorded evidence I had been collecting of the broadband speed and the many hours of lost connections that had been occurring on an everyday basis. This video precisely details the experience I had with Talk Talk customer service. I also sent the screen recordings to the communications ombudsman. You could nail Talk Talk to the wall with this video evidence.

      Nice! you did the smart thing. Ive documented everything with them so far - calls, screenshots, screen recordings, social media interactions. Caught them red handed deleting my posts on thier Facebook page (my posts were simply warning potential customers about the pitfalls of thier service). When challenged as to why, they gave me the silent treatment..not very talk talkative of them really..video coming soon

      @@customerserviceservant it’s hard to explain just how frustrating dealing with talk talk can be, but your video is pure gold. I also sent talk talk a letter of deadlock via recorded delivery to which they never replied. Talk Talk broadband is slower than an asthmatic slug carrying two very heavy bags of shopping.

      Hahaha I like that! I truly know your pain, it was bad enough on the weekend, 3.5 hours gone, but they did the same last year..And ive complained probably about 5 times to them in my life, all upheld. There approach to customer service is disgusting. I've worked for many companies and have had to log grievances with many more, and honestly, these lot are by far the most unprofessional and most notorious for wasting our valuable time. Enough is enough! They really need to pull thier finger out, and if enough of us log complaints and force thier hand, they will HAVE to change, otherwise it will become too costly to them. Unless they are that daft and lazy to just leave the service as it is...which really wouldnt surprise me much at all
