Stihl 661 💪💯
Cordwood Challenge 2024!
That's a lovely tent. I really enjoy your review videos. Make more please
Thanks, I plan to
New ones built in last 10 years sre junk
You should be tapping the dust out of the filter every day.
Sure, I’m aware.
500 is a cool saw but no way the best. The 462 better none of the little issues and you can get it regular carb. The 395 would probably be the best ever made pretty much will do anything and run forever.
👋🏼
Great review Kevin! I love the snappy to the point review style. MSR makes excellent products.
No because I would send it to a real porter
Good
Glad you’re back ! Seems like a nice little tent. Love all the ventilation.
I have 20 thousand dollars worth of stihl saws.
First! Cool review, love all those quick shots through the vid👍👍
Just trying to to keep it interesting.
They are flimsy as a dish rag, bad bushing set up on them,, and the case of the saw is thin ,, I’ve seen two with the engine cases cracked from the chain flying of and hitting it,, theses saws need beefed up if you are gonna run them every day logging , put the bushings from a 660 in them , and put a case guard from a 660 on it two it will help keep the engine case from getting cracked if chain flys of,
Bit of a dance to cut weight, isn’t it
@@KevinsDisobedience yes it is,, I’m a sthil guy but they took weight from it where it needs it,
That's why you asses the tree from all sides before you make any cuts and I would suggest never doing that agian, if you don't want to wedge just push it. I know the "experts" (20+years myself) say not to but it's a lot safer than cutting off the holding wood to make it fall.
Nobody with real logging experience would leave this comment, period.
Sachs Dolmar, got 2 of those from the '90's. I'll keep those, thank you.
You’re welcome, I guess lol
lol. so that explains why I'm about 7-8 months out on my Ripsaw at this point.
I'd tell em you want your money back and buy or order your saw of choice and make a porting appointment w/Joe Harkness.. you'll have a better running saw and will have the dyno numbers to prove it and won't have to wait.. get a worksaw, not a rip(off)saw
Watching this only confirmed what I already knew. Husky makes the better saws. If Husky has the long standing filter issues this saw has they would have fixed it by now. Never had any fine dust make it past them filter on any of the Husqvarna saws I have. Anyone considering the 500I should check out the 592, it’s a much better saw.
Absolutely!
BS
@@rexjames0015 what part is BS? Everyone knows the 500i is a gas hog that eats dust!
How does the Connie and Jersey compare to your LAMACA?
How much do you want for that Connie? 😁
Steel and wood get brittle in extreme cold weather.
the saw i hate the most , and after 39 yrs as a climber i have used them all .
Bro why would you just sit there?????
To embrace the journey.
@@boopyondasnooty that’s how you get killed
An East Coast man's take...
even stock, the 500i is a nasty saw... i went with the egan filter and straight shot... and those simple mods picked up lots in the midrange
egans performance saws makes a set of dogs that are similar to the west coast dogs, but just slightly smaller... youre welcome
Thanks
It's a stihl, put lipstick on a pig , it's stihl not pretty, husky made me $$$
Good, now grow up and be man. And realize they’re both machines.
BS
No hinge?
Just a wisp of one
Bill hooks are from Bharat (India), especially in the southern part of our country... We use it in our farms...
It always blows my mind how limbs can hold up so much weight sometimes. The amount of weight from that tree getting hung up on some limbs is wild.
What more could I possibly say, Stihl RUNS THE YARD. 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿 It's good to be the King 👑👑👑👑👑👑 😊👍🏿 #stihlpower #stihlisyourdaddy #stihlrunstheyard
Good fall
Is a 430 or a 434 Model?
Very good and strong machine the best!
I’m not a bushcraft guy and realistically just split wood at campsites. The small splitting axe was the obvious choice for me.
Don’t fault the tree service. They have to protect themselves by taking all precautions not to damage your property. Trust those guys, and not the cowboys with a pickup, a ladder, and no insurance who would have happily smashed your driveway and left you with the mess. Do it yourself is always an option, just don’t pay the cowboy. His entire business model is to undercut the legitimate professional.
Don’t hang out on the stump on your knees, especially on the downhill side.
Bro instead of squatting get the fuck out of the way …one bad hop from that log your done
My head fell off 3 times with soft wood. The 4th time using hardwood the handle snapped at the head
oit perhh STIHL 350 ke beso betoi papan
If you take Three big steps back from the stump, you can reduce fatalities by something close to 90 percent.
Yep, that makes perfect sense.
👋🏼
As an american, you are not used to this sistem of the handle. But im básque, and in Spain, and many parts of Europe they are the common. You just need a bit of patience, and a lime. Once you get It fixed, can be there for a long time. I have axes from my grandad. Whenever they are a bit loose again, and you have tonfix It. But they have been with the same handle for 20? 40? Years and whenever is ..once every 5 years? A years depending on use? and always safe. If there is still wood at the end, of course..
Nice piece of machinery kevin🤘🏻 those old fords were bullet proof
This thing is solidly built. No power steering, but plenty of power for a 40hr tractor. Almost sold it last year, as I only use it once or twice a year to plow or till new ground.
That worked.
Good title!
Perfect!
Nice work!
Vines are a real pain!
Nice work!😊
Great video! Pro tip, not a great idea to take your left hand off the handle bar while you’re cutting downward, wouldn’t be pretty if that girl kicked back on you.
Thanks, it’s not a great idea. So long as the tip is exposed it literally can’t kickback.
