When humans burn fossil fuels, such as coal or oil, to make things (like plastic products or energy), it releases gases into the atmosphere (greenhouse gases).
Greenhouse gases act like a blanket, covering our atmosphere and trapping heat from the sun, making temperatures rise. This is called global warming.
There are many changes in the climate (hence "climate change") with global warming. Sea levels rise. Extreme weather events. Lack of food.
The scary thing is, this is happening NOW. We need to act to save wildlife as many species go extinct and humans keep burning fossil fuels.
I believe that the more informed we are on this topic, the better we understand it, and the better we can help. I'm trying to spread awareness of the effects of global warming and provide solutions that you may be able to do to help nature. Because there isn't a Planet B.
As Greta Thunberg said, "I want you to act like your house is on fire, because it is."

Four Ways to Help Bees on World Bee Day
Gorgeous harvest!
Thank you!!
Ah! Sweet success! YUM
Haha, agreed!
School and cartoons lied to me >:c I been deceived. If I were an American I would file lawsuits at my educators xD Also I used to believe penguins built igloo :U
And the seal goes "AAAAAAAAAA. Egg"
Looking forward to the fall equinox.
As am I!
I can tell we’re at the closest point to the sun because it’s darn hot over here today! 🌝
Same here! 😅
Today, I saw a cabbage butterfly going from flower to flower, briefly pausing on each before moving on. Must be a pollinator in action! 🌺
Wow, awesome! Were they flowers from your garden/patio space?
@@Earthtopia No, they were outside one of the apartment buildings we pass on our walk. That corner flower bed often seems to have a butterfly at work in it.
Wow, that sounds great to see so close up!
@@Earthtopia it is joyful.
One came within 7 feet of me in a meadow in the Klamath Mountains. These animals are absolutely adorable! Just the cutest! I am lucky one came so close to me.
It’s exterior looks so much like tree bark that it seems like it could camouflage itself for protection. It’s a strange looking bird with a strange sounding name but cute in its own way.
Yes, that's actually one of the ways they stay safe from predators!
I never heard of it before but it would be a good story element. Ghost Bird! Sounds like a Poe story.
Haha, that's true!
Axolotls are my fav animal and if they go extinct I will be so sad plus I’ve always wanted a pet axolotl
The fisher is looking at as lf you are lunch and dinner
What day is National Squirrel Appreciation Day?
It's January 21st in the US!
I just learned about them yesterday.
Yip is a good term.
The dog goes 'woof' The cat goes 'meow' The fox goes 'eeYAAA'
That fox sure doesn’t sound ferocious!
One of my favorite story books as a child was “Mr. Popper’s Penguins,” the story of how Mr. Popper came to put together a performing troupe of penguins. You could not help but love all of them, with their different personalities and behaviors. I wish I could have one for a pet.
I remember reading that book once, as well!
Penguins are so cute!
Yeah! Penguins are cute!
As I recall the first Earth Day, our planet seems to be in much more peril now than it seemed then. That’s why your suggestions for Earth Day are more important than ever. I do think I appreciate our earthly home more than I ever did in the past.
That’s true, but hopefully we can make more progress soon! I appreciate your feedback! And thanks for watching!😊
That’s a nice crop you have there! They’re cute as little houseplants too even if they never get to the dinner table. 😉
Your parsley is doing great!
Public libraries are great! Even libraries that are part of a network have individualized offerings. I belong to a bunch of libraries. And now we even have a library right across the street!
Ways to help would be nice. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the suggestion!! 😊❤
Libraries are such a precious resource. It’s sad that they are often on the brink when it comes to funding.
NOO PLS NOT AXOLOTLS
Wow. Incredible. At some point, the money is going to come gushing in. 😉
Haha, thanks!
And so does enjoying all those colorful and nutritious fruits and vegetables!
Also, Happy International Polar Bear Day! 😊
A sweet post. Thanks for all the suggestions!
Now I appreciate squirrels even more!
I’ll bet it tastes even better this way!
Mmm, chocolate.
I never heard of fair trade or sustainable chocolate. I’ll have to learn more.
So exciting that you are beginning your gardening. Looking forward to those updates!
Good luck!
Nice narration. I learned something!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed. 😊
Lovely bees!
WE DID IT! MILLIONS OF AXOLOTLS ARE IN CAPTIVITY AND MAY BE RELEASED SOON!
fun fact: if an axolotls leg was cut of, it can actually grow back
Yes - they’re so cool!!
These are pretty. Bees are productive and important to human life. Their honey is said to be good forever! So why are we still afraid of bees?
Very interesting! Honey bees are truly amazing creatures.
Why have you done this?
But they also need habitat space ok to sustain the population.
Yes. Also, the population needs to be stable. It should not overpopulated beyond the carrying capacity of the reserve. However, in case of an overpopulation, the rangers can make the population to be smaller through translocation. This will ensure that the space is saved and also the spread out of the predators in different areas so as not to concentrate in one area.
Russia and China needs ramp up conservation of Amur tigers
Only in india
Thanks to the immense conservation efforts from India, Nepal and Russia. Unfortunately, tiger number is still dereasing in Bangladesh, China, Malaysia and other parts of Asia.
They are cute in their own way.
That’s very surprising about the tiger population increase. Not what I expected. Perhaps a better job is being done maintaining their habitats. I hope that is the case.
Oh hello! This is Soring stories, BTW (this is the second channel that I post on now :])
Hi! Thanks for stopping by :)
