Explosions in the Sky live at Reckless Records. Setlist: Yasmin The light Once more to the afterlife Greet Death
This was the first EITS video I ever watched. Just saw them live last week and they are still epic as ever.
I remember the first time I saw this video.. "You can do this?". Still hits so goddamn hard
Erick, my greatest friend from Juárez sent "Yazmin the Light" to me for the first time in a media player file, back in 2006, 18 years ago and, we are still friends, and we still both love Explosions in the Sky.
So sad people don't understand music anymore. This is super group and will stay in time forever ...
Im 100% sure if the whole world heard this, world peace can be achieved
2024 💜
This will never not be legendary. Love these guys
I just watched them live. It is a transcendental experience. I am glad I had the chance to finally hear them live. Thank you.
No such thing as a bad explosions song
stumbling upon this 12 years ago and this video still speaks to me
Super group
Well, I guess you can always discover old songs from your favourite band. Thanks for posting this obscure gem of a live. Ps: for those wondering like me, the second track is called The Long Spring and is available on Spotify.
WHO STILL HERE IN 2026
Commenting 17 years later. The ending of greet death STILL gives me chills. Will never get sick of it. Seen these guys so many times. They never disappoint
Love
I'm here after 18 years what a delight was in 2006! Not forgotten at all !
E lá se vão 17 anos. Parece que foi ontem que assisti essa maravilha pela primeira vez.
14:00 is just epic every time
Very rare footage and cool performance. I would of die to see EITS in a small space before they gained their success by packing out venues.
Some of the best to ever do it. Their earlier material is untouchable.
im from the future
Crazy. As soon as the drums first came in on Yasmin the light I tasted orange trident gum in my mouth. We used to chew orange trident and listen to explosions when we took ecstasy when I was in high school over 15 years ago. 😂 Crazy how certain sounds can transport you back to such specific moments. This is magical music
fuck what a video
hii,2023, this song still touching my heart
This will be my favorite band until the end of time. The music creates memories and feelings that nothing else could. Their music has gotten me through the best and toughest times of my life.
The most outstanding Rock band for me in the world
0:00 Yasmin The Light 7:08 The Long Spring 13:15 Greet Death
Still The best
I like this song since hearing for the first time
This was my first exposure to Explosions and is still (IMHO) the bar for Yasmin the Light. I'm so glad my buddy sent me this link 15 years ago!
This was played as our beloved 27 year old grandson lay dying holding his mother's (my daughter's) hand. I had never heard it before she told me and I can see that this is a goodbye song. Nine months later, I still miss him and can cry at the drop of a hat. He had been in trauma unit at Vanderbilt and was moved into palliative care so he could die. It breaks my heart. If only you knew him.He was a leader, a drummer, a thoughtful young man, Sgt Ethan Allen Walker V. Ethan!
last time i saw this video i didn’t think it was pixelated. time has flown, i used to watch this video often.
just found this clip! Golden moments.
Remembering putting this video on my Myspace page back in the day. I loved this performance then and I still love it now in 2022. Hope another soul finds this comment on a video that has slowly been forgotten by time...
@@Spectrvm____ not forgotten at all brother, we out here
Absolutely incredible seeing this snapshot in time of these early years.
A mi papá le encanta esta canción
Everytime i come to see this video resolution gets lower and lower
😍😍😍
Obrigado senhor lucas silveira da fresno
don't know the guy in the middles name but now I see how he got that sound with that intense strumming, 14:29
8:55 = the Long Spring
Thank you.
Yashin the light. Gets me every fucking time. I remember finding this around 2006 or 07. And was amazed my EX got me into them. And she's the only thing I see when I hear them. Fun fact I saw smashing pumpkins in 07 and didnt know who the opening band was. And when my dad found out and was saying " lights in the sky???" I just screamed in the car "Explosion in the sky?" And I was so happy to find out they were playing. What an awesome show they both were.
Texas Forever
