As Skyrim is based on Scandinavia, and the Nords are based on the Norse, then the wolf is perhaps referring to the Ulfhednar warrior culture as wolf warriors of Odin perhaps in clans away from society or enlisted in armies, the Windhelm bear probably referring to the Norse berserker warriors who perhaps mixed with Ulfhednar but were nomadic and notorious to the public, either way cool ties to history my favourite history personally

Talos' statue could be a number of things but imo, your Thor v Jormungandr comparison is on the money. I think it's a reference to the in-game book the Five Songs of King Wulfharth, specifically the song Old Knocker. Talos represents, Ysmir (Wulfharth/Tiber Septim) and Shor. While the Snake represents Orkey and Alduin.

Hey just noticed a few minutes into the video that you used the Wikia page for Skyrim and Elder Scrolls content. I recommend using UESP instead. Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages. Morthal's sigil is also somewhat represented in game further than you said with the life and death symbology. The quest where the town goes to attack a nearby Vampire lair. Living versus the Undead.
