The first few episodes will be a bit rough and ready as I get to grips with the format, style and editing (maybe a bit more confidence in myself in front of a camera). I'm hoping to develop on these attributes and also sort out better recording equipment as the channel grows. I don't want to waste anyone's time with poor quality or content and hope you appreciate the efforts gone into these videos.
A year in now.... Hope you like what's been released so far... Loads of content to come.... Stay Tuned!

I did this job yesterday - all four bolts were very tight to remove but I managed them manually (socket and T bar). However, No. 4 (top right) got completely stuck (like one of yours), but I used a blow torch to heat the casting in the area of the thread for a few minutes and then it came out easily. Wish I'd used heat on the other three - would have made it much easier, I'm sure! I'm nearly 80 years old and it fairly knackered me, but I survived!
Looks a bit rough to me
Hey Ash any chance of an update of the 5series if you still have it and have you had any issue on these alloys (I've MV2s on at the minute and looking at Style132 "fat 5's") very interested in your e60 build 👌
Is this the alu or steel block m57?
Seeing someone else suffer through this and call it a shit job makes me feel better about my unavoidable endeavor. Thanks for the video mate, helps a lot.
Hi bro i have m57 535d and the car start bad first time very slow and end with no start second try start normal ,Do you think is the starter problem because the battery has a goos voltage...
I need to do mine I think, not looking foward to it, looks hard!
I’m stoned and your editing style has me feelin like I’m watching some adult swim
i legit fitted stance+ to my 530d today hahaha
You are hilarious my guy!!!
I've never replaced just the track rod ends.. Just replace the whole track rod assembley
Miss this man's videos hope he's still doing OK.
Been looking at these but after watching this video think ima stay away 😅 are they that terrible?
Better without music. Good vid otherwise
Hi Ash, other than the whine, was the old wheel bearing causing any other issues? ie vibration at high speed?
Nothing but noise. Turned out both were shagged in the end. They didn't wobble or show signs other than the noise
Mine (left front) had been whining for a while, particularly at high speed and when turning slightly right from straight ahead. Have taken the oil seal off the inner side of the bearing and the race looks good. Don't know how one can access the outer race in the assembly to see that one. Mine had no wobble either.
hi bud old post. what tyre size and spacers cheers
I changed the tyre size to remove the stretch so I don't remember. You'll have to pause and look close at the tyres to see. I say the spacer size in the video when removing the wheels from the car.
Man, isn't this exactly how these types of jobs go sometimes! Nice to see a real-world fix video for once. Complete with: using foot to break a bolt; stacking up leverage; hammering; kicking, cutting, torching. You are not alone!
Hi. When somebody shares a video like this will explain things giving tips rather than vomiting, burping, pissing on broken parts and swearing. Sorry mate if you think it is funny really it is not. Still thank you for sharing this video, but I am afraid I didn’t learn anything from your video.
Learning is dumb.
SUPER
Diversity antenna😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
your production and music are on point. I'm scared to do a brake job on my e60 because I don't know how to do the ABS bleed with the computer.
I removed all calipers, dropped all the brake fluid and filled and bled with new fluid (conventionally) and everything is fine. Was I lucky? 🤷🏻♂️. Don't know.
@@AshsGarageUpdates I'm gonna try it, If its good enough for you it must be sound. Its either that or pay £350 for front brake job.
@@DanA-st2ed I might actually get round to editing the rest of the videos the.n you can see what happened 😅
Rest in piss. Nice vid
Massive like, i've never had so much fun watching my E63 strut removal DIY
Thanks dude. Hope you like the rest of the videos! Slowly getting back to editing after some time out ✌🏻
@@AshsGarageUpdates i really appreciate your style, I also do 6 series DIY videos but yours are very humorous and interesting.
@@BMWReviews you got quite the following too 👌🏻. My style involved a lack of life to edit 😆
How has this video not got a billion views... subbed
Oh yes, removing the intake manifold is always a treat...
Hi what alloys are these? I have an E60 an I want a set
I say what they are in the video. Don't remember off the top of my head.
What suspension it’s that m sport ? Its or
What's your suspension set up? Love it.
Loving the channel ash. How comes you not done a video in months?
Cheers mate. I had a break from it because the editing/music creation was too time consuming. Going to try and pick it up soon though 👍🏻
@@AshsGarageUpdates hope so mate as one of the best channels I watch with all the piss taking lol
@@bimmerladuk7287 I'll do my best, I have actually started the next video recently.
@@AshsGarageUpdates looking forward to it bro
Joss Mas Brow !!
Wow,,my e46 330cd not sure if bad starter 🤔 161k miles now,
Where did you get your spacers from are they hub bolt on’s? Also I got a set of 9j 19” et48 alloys for my e60. What spacer sizes would you recommend 30mm front and 30mm rear?
Lol are they really that bad
Watch my E60 suspension videos. They fucked everything else in the process
What an absolute nonsense. I love it. I get why you don't have many subs. Also I don't.
Thanks and also no thanks.... I guess 🤷🏻♂️
The only way I can describe it, is a love-hate relationship :))). Thanks for the video, as I was wondering is it possible to remove starter motor from the top.
Underrated channel lol
It took less than an hour to change it. Didnt lose the intake or EGR or anything more than the plastic things around. Just a tip, you can do it. But all the respect to you, you did a great job man! ✌🏻😊
I've got fat hands. Glad you found a faster route ✌🏼
Only working from above ? Or under the car?
what brand starter did you go with?
Lucas
Does anyone have any recommendation on what tool to use for the bottom e12 on a M57 E90?
Read the comments below, had a few discussions about different tools to fit. You could go straight in with a 12 sided 10mm ring spanner or buy a specific e12 spanner; unless you're completely fucked for space on qn E90, then you might have to slightly drop the subframe and lower the gearbox slightly...
@@AshsGarageUpdates i ended up using a E12 spanner bent at 45 degrees about 30mm from the end. Tight one that was
Hats off to Ash well put together video 📹👏
That intro literally took me 3 weeks to make 🤣
stunning job thay look topps

Subbed. Keep doing your thing mate. You're showing the true ownership of what's it like working on a fucking car Haha it's not all wheeler dealer magic haha
