It also helps to keep the edge of the linen off the floor. This look makes a big difference in the look of your bed! Do you miter your corners? #cnaskills #nursingskills #bedmaking #bedmakingskills

    In this business, we learned what we should do. But in many cases what we learned can’t be applied to particular cases. So we improvised and we keep doing our job. Time is one of the reason why we change things. Like when the patient/client throws up we can’t follow specific steps, we do what we suppose to do so the person doesn’t choke. It is really when the caregiver’s skills come in handy. Experience knowledge and not be afraid of doing what you feel is right even when it is not the same that we learn on our training. Never forget to take good care of ourselves as well. We always do for others, but we forget us.

      @@healthcareresources4573 men get embarrassed too and I always ask if they’d rather a male and if they have a spouse I ask them to do it and explain the procedure, being her all the equipment. And of course if they can do it themselves make them do it. ADL independence is critical. Washing a man’s penis is not helping them ask their own ADL’s and you also will avoid the dirty man syndrome (you know the touchy and grabby ones, the ones who make passes and innuendo) that’s why I quit doing that care on men and also always had another colleague with me. I am rather busty and frankly got tired of men touching and grabbing them. I had one asked me what my cup size is.

      60 seconds is counted by the skinny hand (the one that moves the fastest) going around once. Example, starting at 12 and ending on 12. Each movement of that hand is a second.

    • @kerryclark4516
      @kerryclark4516 8 місяців тому

      The quality of products has gone down because of this. Also the cost and putting a cloth back sheet, rather than plastic. Some are made still with the plastic sheet, but most insurances will not cover them. for high-quality diapers I recommend the Abena comfort plastic back briefs. Also a company called North Shore care has really good products. For wipes, I recommend prevail, premium washcloths as they are really thick. Yes I think when people are potty trained, they are taught unintentionally that the word diaper is a bad thing. The history is actually a pattern, the from a pattern of cloth. In the UK, they are called nappies like an napkin.
