I feel even opening the door can be excused to some extent, sayin okay he double checked for his caution, but after you open the door and there's nothing, I don't understand what is the protagonist LOOKING CONFUSED FOR??? He's got notes written all over his room implying this situation isn't new, so he's already supposed to be cautious especially regarding the sounds as the sound note as it indicates. Even if he fell for it, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR, logically the door would be shut quick as fuck, but the protagonist is now, "confused" and picking up calls with the door open as if this is all new to him, like "what? I just heard my friend's voice and call?" after he ran from a party, ran up his house, even left his main door open showing the urgency and caution he takes, but it all goes 0 in one scene switch is a HUGE PLOTHOLE even for a short "Just for practise" type script!

Love the part where its hands are revealed. Much scarier than it being like some generic monster hand, actually spooked me for a sec. Great stuff, keep it up

Love the concept, but because the video is short, showing the main character's post-its warning himself about this threat and then almost immediately having him disregard them really makes the guy out to be a knucklehead, especially due to the one that says "the sounds are not real." It takes a full-length movie for that concept - a character disregarding what they know - to have some sort of validity (examples being 1408 or Inception) and oftentimes even that can be poorly received. Beyond that, I think this is solid. There's no exposition dump trying to explain what it is or where it comes from. There's no goofy or forced jumpscare at the end. The cinematography and lighting are great, and the sole visible actor in the movie does well as the crux of this movie's acting. I just think it needed to go down a different path for the main character.

So, you can theoretically have a full on conversations with this creature every night? And I assume it never actually met his friend but still imitated him with knowledge of stuff like ongoing party? Can it imitate anyone? Like can you have a small talk with him being someone like Taylor Swift, Josef Stalin or even Harry Potter? That's a lot of questions popped in my mind after 5 min video. Great job, mate!

Humans is so stupid.

This genuinely may be the dumbest short film I've ever seen. "The sounds aren't real", yet he immediately listens to what the sounds are saying. He's clearly been doing this for a while, yet he falls for essentially the most basic trick possible. And the trick/ending is so obvious and cliche I honestly can't believe people actually put in the effort to make this. Like, if you're going to make a short film, at least make it worth your own time and do something that isnt obvious to everyone from the first 30 seconds 😂

my theory is that he is stuck in a time paradox and he puts sticky notes on his table to remind himself every single time he dies, and he will be stuck in the time loop until he successfully survives the night
