Love this channel. MORE PLEASE.... I heard You Voice In The Wind Today... I heard your voice in the wind today And turned to see your face; The warmth of the wind caressed me As I stood silently in place. I felt your touch in the sun today As its warmth filled the sky; I closed my eyes and for your embrace And my spirit soared high. I saw your eyes I the window pane As I watched the falling rain; It seemed as each raindrop fell It quietly said your name. I held you close in my heart today It made me feel complete; You may have died… but you are not gone You will always be a part of me. As long as the sun shines… The wind blows… The rain falls… You will live on inside of me forever For that is all my heart knows. As I understand, the above is dedicated to the "Fallen". God Bless Them 🙏

Super! Two small points: that Decca is a bit later than WW1, probably mid 20s, but very similar to its predecessor the trench gramophone; and only thorn or fibre needles could be re-sharpened, not steel.

There used to be a really good aquarium in Cromer, located on what is now Morrisons petrol station. Few seem to remember it, but it had a large shop at the front which sold fossils, stones, toys and beach stuff. In addition to this, you could pay to go into the aquarium which had several very large tanks and resembled a modern day Sea-Life centre. All of the tanks contained local species and I recall a VERY substantial lobster in one, while others had Cod that I'd guesstimate at 8 - 10 pounds and there was a particularly huge (but elusive) Conger eel. These tanks all contained several thousand gallons and I've often wondered why something like this hasn't been rebuilt, but it's nice to see that visitors can now go to the Mo and see 'what lies beneath'.

That was very interesting. Several websites claim RVW wrote his _Sea Symphony_ at 'Martincross' (see 3:11 above) in 1919. We know he lived there with his wife and ailing brother-in-law in that year, but the Sea Symphony was performed at the Leeds Festival in 1910. So, what _did_ get composed at Martincross? [A long-time Sheringham resident, I'm currently updating Sheringham's 'wiki' and would value any citable references.]
