Farm DIY water & fire trailer
Переглядів 2,4 тис.5 років тому
On my 'to do' list for the summer was the intent to build a fire fighting/irrigation trailer. I already had the pump and had purchased a used tandem axle trailer and 1000 litre (IBC) water container. So I spent a couple of days this week putting it together with the help of Charlie at Goulburn Irrigear. I revised the design a little each day as various fit and function issues became apparent wh...

SMSP GP Circuit 1.50 with the Toyota 86s
Переглядів 2697 років тому
Worked on getting to my 1.50 lap time goal today. I ran in the race cars group which was primarily filled with Toyota 86s preparing for their support race to the V8 Supercars in a few weeks time. Headwind on the straight seemed to buffet and slow the car noticeably, but after making some suspension adjustments I did manage a 1.49.99 lap later in the day. Goal!

very helpful - am about to undertake the same task so appreciate the upload. Will take your advice & methods on board. Thanks 😀
Nice bike and nice ride. I enjoyed that!
Thanks. the Vstar has now been replaced with a Tiger 900 for better touring life!
Hit it with your purse
Well done! 👍🏼👌🏼
You are my hero, ...Incredible job. What made you change the bearings out? I have a little tube noise.
Could of went with out the music and you could of talked about how you built your set up.. for that reason I'm out
Best engine bay I've seen on a Turbo. Now I know what mine should look like. Thanks

Interesting to know, I have heard of the flex plate / torque tube issue but was not sure what the problem was. I currently have an auto trans full of radiator water due to a ruptured heat exchanger in the radiator, would be nice to do this refurbishment too, i'll ask the mechanic to check it when the trans is out.
Really impressive! I'm not yet capable of this level of work. But, your patience and thoughtful approach will serve as my role model.
Watching this as I'm planning to drive this track for the first time. Looks bumpy and the barriers aren't too far to be found but a lovely flow to the circuit. Nice driving. I know it was 10 years ago but do you remember what pads you used to use. Those things were relentless!
Boss Level 100!
I love it
Great work! This is on my agenda in the future, got good info here👌
Great job!
I am a Fan. Incredible! How did it work out? Is the torque Tube still Good?
I wanted to do this with ceramic bearings when I did my clutch, but really did not have time. Maybe one day.
Girl power
Thanks for sharing, and taking the time to make a video, Now I know how to do it!
I had a bad High-Side at TWS in T4 on my CBR954RR back in 2005!
What kind of exhaust and air intake is mounted on the car here ? Right now looking into either doing the fister/gundo hack or buying a sprots exhaust of some brand for my 996.
I have fister and highly recommend it
very well video explained Nice job
Hey. What IS this nub bearing part number. IS this necessarry to replace when rebuilding torque tube??
Absolutely amazing job for Women!
Mate it was good meeting you on the weekend and great driving around the track. Here that session from another angle for you. ua-cam.com/video/yCAz-oW13xU/v-deo.html
Interested to know how you dealt with the ignition. Looks way cleaner with the cap and rotor gone.
This is an interesting comparing this procedure with that on my Z06 Corvette. To do the torque tube in the Z, it takes about a hour and a half (after it's off the car) and a $250 bearing/coupler kit (Made in Germany, believe it or not). I'm planning on doing this when the clutch is replaced. It's about 8-10 hours of labor to extract the TT. I'm planning on the entire job to cost about $2500-2800 turn key. I'm assuming on a 944, it's about 3-5x more...
Really great video but I wish you would talk. It seems I missed things when I was either reading or looking at you procedure.
Wayyy tooo cute. Very well done. You impressed me
OZ 951 great video. I need to try that on the 1987 944 Turbo you sold me in SATX all those years ago. BTW it is still running after a complete engine rebuild, trans rebuild, MAF/MAP and DME conversion and a few other projects,
Nice engine
Well done, I love the 944. Quite a job, what would a shop charge?
195 dollars at Black Sea :)
336 £ in UK
@@andrewireland7681 I've seen £280 for torque tube rebuild in the UK.
You are Awesome!
Good work !!
Very impressive! Thanks for posting.
wow great job. wish we could be a couple !
What modifications have you done to your engine? Are you using a vitesse system, etc. Would be interested to know your performance upgrades as I am at the beginning stages of an engine rebuild and want to incorporate as many performance upgrades now as the engine is being built. Also are you using a manual steering rack, I don't see the power steering reservoir in your engine bay? Thanks for any info you might provide
For all of us concerned about the Porsche IMS Bearing issue - I found a very informative article from Autohaus Hamilton in Australia about the IMS. The article also lists all the models and engines (with engine numbers) that are affected. To read the article just type in “Autohaus Hamilton IMS” into google. The Porsche models that are prone to IMS failure and should be replaced are: - All 986 Boxster models. - 987 Cayman & Boxster models up to engine number 61504715 - All 996 models (not including: GT and Turbo models) - 997 3.6ltr with M96/05 up to engine number 6950745
You need a tune to get power out of the headers (probably it's too late)
Beautifully driven!!
who is andy walsh...
A little spin every now and then just shows your trying
Interesting watching this against my standard 996 facelift model, I've been tracking it more or less standard other than the M030 suspension. I may. Buy replace the Potenza road tyres. After watching this. There is some comparison footage from Donington on my channel. Out of interest what tyres would you recommend? With only 1 set of wheels it's a difficult choice if you use the car on the road too.
car sounds great (still) ... glad you're back on track ;)
Hello Wayne. Did you email me recently?
I'll try again iPad accidental return...interesting comparing Outlon park vids, I have a standard facelift 996 Carrera but have since fitted better pads and the M032 suspension, out of interest have you tried other road/track tyres and what conclusion did you come to? My footage was taken using Potenzas.
Interesting comparing Oulton Park clips, mine is a standard 996 facelift with Potenzas and standard Pagid pads, out of interest Dave you tried other tyres as
So we were at the same track on the same day huh Wayne?
