    I'm cool with stories where mc hides his powers but it bugs me if absolutely no one finds out his true strength. Like having a couple people in the know feels necessary, and I don't wanna invest in a 9 hour manwha just to be peeved that it doesn't happen so can someone tell me if atleast a couple people find out and if so who?

      I don’t think it’s necessary but I understand the whole “What’s the point of a character being strong if they never showcase their strength “ viewpoint But at the same time It goes against the whole point of the story being him wanting to live a quiet peaceful life and not show his swordsmanship. Ohh yeah and to answer your question it only take about and hour or two for him to show his swordmanship skill, though nowhere near his full strength in front of his mother and a few others

      ​@@madatcolorless7050 Yeah I get what you’re saying. For me though it’s not really about him “showcasing” that strength as much as it is about the relationships. It’s not like I’m against him having a chill lifestyle either, but I feel like if no one knows about his strength it makes the relationships the mc has feel more shallow and not as enjoyable. Like there’s always that line of solitude that he’s keeping this secret even from the people he’s supposed to be extremely close to. Like lois and clark’s relationship doesn’t feel as satisfying or “real” until she actually knows he’s superman. But with superman he has a valid reason of, her knowing has a chance of putting her in danger. Vs. keeping your power a secret just to keep your chill lifestyle. Which is fine to do don’t get me wrong, that’s a necessity for a completely chill life. But you can still have an close to completely chill life even after 1 or 2 people accidentally find out. But when the stories refuse to budge even that much or take 50 chapters for even one guy to find out. it’s just like. Why tho? Unless it’s a story where that solitude is an important aspect and can add some substantial value, all it’s really accomplishing is making the relationships feel more shallow in my opinion.       ​@@kovue7637Personally, I like stories where the MC hides their powers. My angle is keeping loved ones safe by not putting a target on their backs. I get where you're coming from though, and your reasoning is also acceptable for me. I think it's fine to have a close inner circle. I guess it's just more cathartic for me when the MC gets underestimated and the bad guys get their comeuppance.
