TASMANIA ROAD TRIP ADVENTURES! Exploring Northern Tassie | Van Life Australia
We started off our 3 months in Tasmania by exploring the stunning northern part of the state. We had high expectations for our Tasmania road trip, and it didn't disappoint.
On our adventures around Northern Tasmania we stopped off at the town of Scottsdale, went mountain biking in Derby (one of the best places in Australia to go riding), visited the Little Blue Lake with its stunning aqua colours and managed to find ourselves at the ever-popular Bridestowe Lavender Farm without a single other person there. It was magical.
This is the start of our van life Tasmania journey and we couldn't be more thrilled to be here. If the first impressions are anything to go by, we're in for a real treat.
If you liked the first episode of our road trip in Tasmania vlog then make sure you leave a thumbs up and comment below, and subscribe for more van life videos and content as we travel around Australia in our Sprinter van, Marlee. Thanks for watching guys! See you on the next adventure.
We highly recommend visiting this place, and staying over night if you are in a self-contained campervan or motorhome. It's a lovely spot and well worth a detour when going on a road trip in Tasmania.
Thank you so much, everyone. We really appreciate it.
Happy vanning,
Alesha and Jarryd

We arrived at one of the free camps just outside of Penguin, right on the beach, and settled in fo...

Thank you for the recommendations! One item that's really improved van life for me is my HomeFi hotspot. It's been great for staying connected with work in remote locations (I travel around the US and I've been able to use it all over the country), and it wasn't as expensive as Starlink. Thanks again for the video.

I totally agree about the wipes. I don't live in a van.....but I'm 70 and taking a shower is like driving a mack truck down the interstate. Hence I use the bath or body wipes. They are a life saver for sure. People just think the only appropriate way to stay clean or be sanitary is to shower everyday......but it is fine to take care of those areas.......well you know......that really have to be cleaned on a daily basis. Two spots....three spots....we all know them!!! lol The other hacks you mentioned are really great ideas.....i agree with all of them. You did a great job with your van and look forward to seeing more videos if you have anything new coming up. Wish I had done something like this when I was much younger.....but it really wasn't a "thing" back in my day. Oh well.....another life then. Good luck.

With limited space, you have to prioritise 'need' above 'want', or you'll never have enough room for everything!

I really like the idea of this, but I'm struggling to see the benefits. When I'm travelling, I'm not thinking about fertilising my garden. If I still need to dispose of "ones" in a toilet and dispose of "twos" in a dump station, what's the difference between the cassette method? I appreciate less use of chemicals, and the need to dump less often, but aside from that, there doesn't seem to be much benefit. If it meant I could dump this "compost" anywhere (national parks etc) then it would be a game changer, but obviously that is not okay.

A better term is "dessicating toilet" as to safely compost this takes about 1 year on the long end. (Depending on climate and conditions)Dont put this on any plants you plan on eating before then. Fruit trees might be safe. Its not compost its shit and sawdust before compost. Humanure handbook.

Enjoyed watching the review of your RV. Not clear though if you built it or it is a commercial rig. We built the TARDIS ourselves and near the end of its 23 year life with us I installed 400Ah of lithium and we could go at least 8 days with the solar before we need to drive or plug into shore power. Have fun, have a great life

I love that you have artwork on your walls, and wooden frames around your windows. I thought you were sitting in a sticks and bricks house lounge. In fact I thought the one behind you was a painting. Fantastic. My camper arrives in June, I’m an artist, so a blank canvas. Happy travels. X Jo from France 🇫🇷

Thank you so much for this info! Great stuff! The only thing that I need to input here though is that I don't think those plastic collapsible bowls are recyclable and after time, they usually break at the seams, so they just end up in landfills. Maybe most of them are recyclable now and I'm wrong? That would be great if so! Thank you again and safe travels to you both! (<:

The vacuum sealed bags are wonderful and too few RV'rs utilize them. Another is the simple addition of naming the contents of canned goods on the top of the can. These both are game changers ! The only one left that you didn't mention is stuffing decorating pillow cases with clothing or off season clothing. Lovely to use when lounging and practical for storing .
