Beechcraft Bonanza Takeoff and Gear Retraction
Thank you for the video! One thing I needed to get clarity on from my school is that the IAS does not use a wafer and only uses a diapghram. The casing is filled with static air from the static air line (static port). The diaphram intakes total air pressure (dynamic and static) from the pitot tube. This difference in pressure = IAS. If the pitot tube is clogged but the drain hole is unclogged then the diaphram will act as a wafer because it is only taking in static pressure which should in theory be equal to the pressure within the casing from the static line. Student pilot here just trying to figure it out ;)
Always fun to see this airport get recognition. I’m 13 and am training at this airport in the 1970 piper Cherokee won’t be able to solo nor get my PPL for a while but it’s whatever; still love flying though and am making it a hobby so later it can be a career.
@@EvanzAirspace keep up with training!!! Glad you liked the video. The career side is fun and you'll enjoy the path you take to get there!!!
@@pilotreportit’s a very challenging but rewarding process man. not even in high school yet (13) bit still have a strong passion for this. Some of the hard aspects are some of the long checklists and radio calls; (Newport State is an uncontrolled field I believe.)
this is real
Facts right?
@@pilotreport yes
I don’t fly nothin but if I did, I’d be best at a Embraer Phenom 300E.
The phenom is called the phenom because it is phenomenal!
@@pilotreport Very much so! Just imagine. Filling up the gas pump, draining the water out of the fuel tank, (if there is any,) boarding your family on and cruising your way to the Caribbeans! Oh that would be very nice to see.
@@mellovr326 I can only imagine..... Cause it's never gonna happen for me lol. I flew the emb 135 and 145 which is really similar and when we would do empty ferry or maintenance flights it would fly like a rocket
@@pilotreport wow! Wish I wasn’t stuck with the RCs, I’m gettin close to (surprisingly) a 777! I found one on the Net for 4.5 million. That’s about an 89% discount.
Is it a bonanza if so what type of
Yes. It is a 1957 K35 with Tip Tanks and an IO-470 engine
Cessna 207 🤩
That’s a beautiful robin
@@Blue-neon thank you! She is still a work on progress, but if there's one thing I've learned to do with planes is to have upgrades as a marathon not a sprint!
Any more aircrafts I’m a aviation nerd🤓 let’s I know what a scramble jet engine is I know Antov dark star sr 71 Harriet Red Baron triplane 747 757 797 raptor wright flyer indigo amphibious aircraft i know Cessna classic and I think that’s all I know
@@Blue-neon I wish I had more. But I have alot of friends. When I was with the airlines I had Embraer 145 and 135 stuff. But since I left them I don't have access to them. I'll be sure to post more in the future. I'm glad you enjoy
Well i mostly knew all that from mfs and UA-cam 😅
Fun fact the darkstar isnt a real craft. It is only a ground prop model used for the film@Blue-neon
U bet no hawk tuah on my thang, well maybe just once, and get it right.

That's cool. What made you think you were invited?

Im awaiting my glasses, how do u like them so far?
They are great. I use them almost daily for music, calls. Or videos. Sorry for the delay I never got the notification of ur text
U for sure! That crop top! Lmao
Whats the camera u hung up?
I'm now an employee of the museum.
Sorry for the delay. That museum is great! And I'm sure there some cool behind the scenes stuff you get to see being an employee!
@@pilotreport Something interesting every day! As of now we have a huge C-54 sitting in the parking lot! Been here since the Fly in.
Butter Valley is one of my favorites, just flew in there last weekend!
Sorry for the delay, it's been so busy here. It's one of my favorites too. I plan on going back and playing a round this year!
I was thinking of picking them up. do they break the noise-canceling from the handset or are they ok?
If your headset has thick ear cushions like my light speed Delta Zulus, it works great. A little adjustment tho to get it to seat well
Mine is an annual right now, that’s exactly how I feel.
Mines going in on Monday... Fingers crossed
I found a new mechanic. He is a little different, and I like it. To prove the work is done correctly I don’t to the OCF ( Operational Check Flight), his son does that flight. The flight that is mine I do a very extensive preflight. Re-rigging controls cables is usually 10 mins checking to see if I can get them to disconnect. Flights that are mine I like to have another pilot to fly as a crew, one driver, one checklist reader non normal trouble shooter. I was at a shop to get my plane and FISDO was there, he overheard I planed to do the OCF as a crew and said I could not do that. I explained my logic. I am the owner, I know the plane, my friend is a much better pilot. He drives I trouble shoot. FISDO guy could not disagree with my policy. He made the OCF a min 2 crew flight. The aircraft in question, a Piper Arrow.
We run the engine after we replace things like that and do extensive leak checks as a aviation mechanic and inspector. Won’t release the plane if it’s remotely dangerous for the pilots :) we got you don’t worry. Safe flying
Appreciate it. So far I've been good with my mechanics too, but in college I remember studying accidents from maintenance issues. Ultimately more accidents are from pilot error tho. They say around 15% from MX. And 69% from pilot error.
That looks very familiar 🤔

Same here, video is too solften.
Thanks. I will look into options tomorrow. There might be a way I can do some updating. I will let everyone know if I can vs posting an entirely new video
Was that just between Sky Manor and Doylestown? I usually do similar between PNE and TTN.
That was going back and forth on the rnav 7 and rnav 25 at sky manor
The video is very tinted! I am on full brightness on my device.
I saw that too. Idk why it is. It might be how I rendered it. My apologies
Nice video! We are located next to Air Parts or Lock Haven Airmotive.
Next time I'll try to pay a visit. I'm glad you enjoyed
I just came across this video, very nice! I hope to fly there this year from N40 in my Fly Baby with a couple of J-3s.
Definitely do it. Are you based at N40?
@@pilotreport sounds good…yes I’m based at N40 in the A hangars … I have the camo colored Bowers Fly Baby there.
@@WilliamFHills I'll keep an eye out for you. I'm on the back side of the D hangars
Provided you dont take hands off controls or shout to activate.. is there any other way to have it record or take photo's?
There is a button on the side you can press.
Hmm thing is flying stick Aircraft right hand on stick.. left on throttle.. and I want to capture landing . Like last 1min.. I can't take right hand off control to press it :((( shame this has too many limitations. Needs better app with customisation I think
@@daviddavidson3217 I agree. There is more to be desired. I wish It would record more than 1 minute at a time. Although when I'm left seat it's left hand on the yoke, right hand on throttle. It takes a quick button press with your right hand to activate, but someone might not want to do it on a workload intensive approach
You do it better
Nice! Did the voice command work in the cockpit?
It did, but after several attempts
Great video. My ASI is locked on 80kt. My father blew on the pitot trying to fix an obstruction. Do u think I lost it? Or it can be fixed? So sad. 😅
It probably needs to be recalibrated. I have a feeling the diaphragm might be messed up
Love to see another pilot report from this trip.
Thank you. I appreciate your support

I’m based out of Lakewood , nice airport to come into to , I fly into kmjx and WWD all the time as well
I enjoyed Lakewood. It was my first time there. The rp for 24 and left pattern for 6 is nice and easy for pattern entry. 20 years ago Lincoln park has a right pattern for 1 which was nice too, but they changed it
@@pilotreport I have flown into Lincoln park as well and only flew LP 😊
@@pilotreport another interesting fact about Lakewood is I noticed every time you come into land regardless of 06 or 24 when you’re on short final coming over the numbers, there is always a little downdrafts from the trees on the west side of the runway, even if it’s a calm day it’s still gets gusty, and usually a crosswind like you had
Refused to fly! That’s a L
I'm sure he will come around to it. Hahaha
@@pilotreporthope so!
Looks like he had fun! He should’ve taken you up on the offer to fly.
He should have. He would have enjoyed it.
These are great posts but you will get more replies if you dont give the answer at the end 😉
Thanks I might change it up for that. I appreciate the feedback
Poor Paul 🤣🤣
Paul was a trooper
idk class e?
Correct!. Class e is "controlled airspace" and vfr pilots are not required to communicate with ATC.
Cool video
Thank you
N40??
Yes sky Manor airport
Music pls,,,
Fresh
Love the Video Mike!!! Let me know if you need a co-pilot for anything!!
Thanks Dave. Hope your moving along good with your flying
Thanks. Enjoyed the video. Liked the speed up through the parts of the recording that don't add as much value, and focusing on those that are more valuable.
Glad you enjoyed it. I love feedback and what you enjoyed. This took a lot of time because I just switched to Mac and final cut pro for editing, these edits are basic and I look forward to improving the entertainment value of these once I get a full handle on the program and computer.
I instructed at Lincoln park for a very short time back in 05…. Been Arline flying since. Eager to finally get back into GA
That's cool, where did you teach? I was at Aero Safety Training. I don't recognize your name so I'm guessing you were at Wagner
@@pilotreport I just shot you a DM on FB. Yeah it was Wagner. I was there for only a month. It wasn’t a pleasant experience. I loved instructing, I hated the working conditions.
