Dont feed non human grade food to pets. Dog food contains spent animal parts, many of them have been euthanised and they dont test the meat. That's why you get dead dogs and food recalls.

Thank you for all the inspiration. What did you use to paint outside of tank. I just added spray foam on top of styrofoam ( went a little heavy with foam as I used 5 cans on a 40 gallon). Still have carving, painting, etc. but hate the way foam looks from outside

I am working on spray foam background and using a mixwax water based sealer.. Could I use this same sealer to make a water dish like the one you did or would I need a pond sealer? Thanks!

How do you clean the water bowl?

Quick tip... i stopped using spraying foam completely... it's expensive, it's messy, it's hard to work with.... XPS foam (the isolating boards) it's so much easier and cheaper to work with, and with some tricks you can get exceptional details really easily... all you need are some hobby knives (available at every art store, amazon, hardware stores etc etc) and some aluminum foil, just crumple up some aluminum foil into an ugly ball you first carve and slice the XPS foam into whatever shape you want and then press and roll the crumpled up aluminum foil over the foam with some force... it's look absolutely beautiful and natural (it's a trick from people building dungeons out of the foam for Dungeons and Dragons i picked up) and afterwards you can drybrush it with paint or really paint it however you like with some acrylic paint. XPS foam is completely water resistant and does not mold so it works great for any vivarium, though be adviced... it's isolating foam so if you use it in any form of high temperature terrarium the temperature will be A LOT higher in any structure... make sure it's well ventilated and you have access to clean it Another tip... buy some PVC pipes and build whatever tunnel system you want and then use sprayfoam on it, with silicon you can easily apply substrate to the inside of those pipes and they remain cooler than the rest of the terrarium giving your reptile a nice shaded cool hide

How well does it clean?

This is totally safe with a basking light shining down on it? I just moved my 3 yo hognose up to a 40g and I want to build something like this to create a second level in his enclosure but he’s my absolute love and I don’t want anything to hurt him.

May i ask you about the bark/wood chips substrate, my local shop says it's good for them , and could i have a baby 10 cm dragon into a 120 cm enclosure? I thought it could be bad for them to reach moving food in a big enclosure or it is just fine with maybe a little help during feeding
