      @@isserfiq I know that 30-30 32 ACP Chamber inserts have been made. Chazel doesn’t make one, but they do encourage customers to ask or request caliber combinations they might be interested in putting into production. Well, thank you OP! TIL the H&R Topper 158 was sort of the precursor to the later Handi-Rifles. I happen to have a Topper 158 so it'll be interesting to find what calibers that action/frame is capable of handling. I do know when it comes to using these adapters there is an issue with the action/frame and its firing pin. Most seem to be able to handle NON magnum pistol cartridges but not all can withstand Magnums or high power rifle cartridges. In those that can't, the firing pin usually punctures the primer, then the blast from the primer hole damages the firing pin and sometimes even ejects it backwards out of the frame, often hitting the shooter. There are videos on YT of ppl who've experienced that problem.

    • @diggingoonschmit
      @diggingoonschmit Місяць тому

      @@dkeith45 yes, you are correct. I would stay away from the magnums and stick to cartridges of lower pressures. Reloading gives you even more options. Next possible project might be a 30 Carbine insert in order to load heavier slugs of 150 or 180 grains. Thank you for your comment!

    It's hard to explain how to do it but inside those guns is pretty complex the cocking mechanism is like a long rack gear you can take them apart and turn the gear that meshes with the rack with the rack out of it and put it back in there where it's partly turned before you cock it then you get more spring tension I wouldn't do it unless you can afford to break it because like I said they're pretty complex and you might not be able to get it back together right

      Wait, did you say FREE state of Idaho? What do you mean by that? We are all free states. Some obviously more free than others. I certainly wouldn’t consider Idaho a free state compared to many other states where all citizens enjoy equal rights. Idaho just passed one of the most draconian laws relating to women’s rights. A federal judge had to back them off a little! You do know about that ? Sometimes, the term free state is used as an oxymoron to what that place really is, a repressive state. I hope that’s not what you are inferring? Maybe it just slipped?

    It’s pure ignorance to give a person a shotgun, especially your wife, without giving them explanation or instruction on how to hold it properly and brace for the recoil. Then have the nerve to laugh at her and post the video for the world to see.

      Obviously you did not read any of the other comments and replies below. My wife is well versed in shooting pistols and rifles from 22lr up to 308Win. I demonstrated hold and stance. She wanted to try it the way she felt comfortable when shooting a high powered rifle. Do not judge. I would never do anything to hurt my wife. So with that, I thank you for your comment! I have a new "salt weapon" that has a push button safety. When you take the safety off it stays off. I like the extended choke tube and need to see if I have some tubing that will fit over the 1/2" I have to work with after I put a Bug Beam on it. I want to leave the laser on it, but now I'm thinking, if I can find a piece of tubing that fits snugly over that, and another piece that fits tightly inside that piece of tubing I might be able to tighten up the pattern a little bit better.
