Hmm, are you pushing the inlet far enough back that it feels like it connects to the turbo? It should fit in snug and when you twist to fit, should be twisting towards the back end of the car. Double check to make sure you ordered the right part that fits your car as well.

Stock, no tunes needed for inlet and intake.

The center caps were 68mm to fit the Superspeed wheels, then I thought a VW logo emblem sticker (65mm?) and stuck it onto the caps for this setup.

I did put the hubcap made for the wheels on, for my taste, I didn’t like how it looked. I feel like my tires were a bit too meaty for the look so I decided to go without 👍

The center lock is held in with plastic tabs. You can simply push it out from the rear inside of the wheel.

They are about 20lbs per wheel.

Good question! You can use the stock inlet for the IE intake. It’ll fit just fine. It does come with an adapter for the IE inlet if you get one in the future.

Thanks for the input! These were actually “used” but less than 1500 miles. Got them at a super good deal. I don’t drive my R in the winter so the all season were fine for me. I have a dedicated winter set if needed to swap though. These work for now!

Hey! I haven’t noticed any induction noise that sounds like flickering. The only thing I noticed was flickering/clicking from the actual intake fitment in the front heatshield not being 100% perfect fitment.

I have this issue. EQT stage 1. 034 inlet and IeV2 intake. Ever figure it out?!

@@stupid_name3703 Also on EQT - my understanding is thats the DV doing DV things and is normal on a factory snail. Drop a gear if anything hah.

The intake and inlet has been great! I had an issue regarding low coolant levels after installing the intake. I had to install the OEM check valve from the OEM coolant hose into the new coolant hose IE provides. Other than that, no issues.

I definitely noticed a difference! I felt more throttle and response. Not sure about HP as I never had the chance to dyno it. The intake and inlet is worth it!

I personally haven’t seen too many “White Silver Metallics” locally here. However I agree. Other colors are a bit more rare.

When I traded in my GTI, the offered trade in did pay off my loan at that time. I actually had positive equity so the deal was pretty good! Depending on the market and what you owe, you might get a positive or equal equity trade in. I would say it doesn’t hurt to get an estimate from your dealerships.

No tune is needed! The only tune that would be needed is usually when you install a Downpipe (stage 2).

I love the DSG! I think it’s pretty fun. Manuals are nice as well! As a daily, more practical for me personally and I love the pops!

If you are going to do any type of road racing, definitely the auto. It’s a dual clutch and shifts great. IF you just want the thrill of driving a manual, get the manual.

Yes! Euro specs are so much nicer. Especially the TCR trim. I wish we had that here in the US.

Correct! I believe if I’m right, the Taos was manufactured in 2018 (not in the US) and 2021 it became available in the US.

It really depends on the issue. I haven’t had any big concerns other than oil changes (70-90$ USD at dealership). So it’ll depend on location and issue.

No tune is needed! The only time a tune is more required is when you get a downpipe (stage 2). Otherwise simple bolt ons like catback exhaust and intake don’t need a tune. However a stage 1 or 2 tune will make a drastic change for more HP!

It was actually due to the rubber grommet that holds the cables for the rear trunk! Had it “glued/sealed” and it fixed the issue.

Haha. I do love the mk7 look! I wouldn’t mind the MK8 R though (not the MK8 GTI). I’ve seen some in person and they aren’t too bad once they get a drop and wheels.
