Love Grows (Where my Rosemary goes) cover
This is an absolutely outstanding instructional video! Thank you for taking the time to put this together.
Thank you!
Do you have to do this while it is running ? I have the same one , I took stuff off the repla e a head and gasket, and ever since, it has been reving out of control. Mine is a 2002 but still is the same as yours , I can't fi d nothing but yours , my engine is strong and beautiful
Setting it close before you run it is good.
So glad you made the video! Thank you. I'm working on my dad's 422707-1510-01 (MTD). 95 sounds about right. I've heard these are among the best B&S put out.
Where can I buy all the pins and clamp? My 3 point hitch didn’t come with them
Did you buy the tractor new? If so, you need to complain to the dealer because all the hardware comes with the 3-point hitch. Otherwise, you could try going to a place like tractor supply, depending on where you live.
@@TractorMonkeywithJL it is new. But I should clarify, it came with the backhoe. I bought the 3 point extension kit afterwards. That kit itself, didn’t come with the pins or the bracket
@@JontiTheGreat Doesn't matter if you got the backhoe or not. The 3point hitch and all the hardware is included in the base price of the tractor. You should have gotten a separate box with the whole 3 point hitch assy. The hardware would be all bagged up in the box. Every thing you see in my video is included. Like I said, you need to bitch at the dealership and tell them about it. I also bought the tractor with a backhoe already installed.
@@TractorMonkeywithJL oh dang! Was not aware about that. I will try and reach out, thank you!
Can I ask you a question about a John Deere ballast box on/off problem?
I don't have a ballast box. I use the backhoe or my tiller as rear ballast when I'm using the loader. You can ask, but that doesn't mean I'd be a good source to ask about one. But a ballast box should hook up just like any attachment to the three point. You also asked about it in a non-tractor video, but no big deal. 😃
Works like a charm. Thanks
The guy who designed this machine, should have to grease it!!
I just got a longer grease zerk fitting hope it will work for me! If not I think I got what worked for you.
Hopefully what I needed for my 2019. I’m real tired of getting on and off and under to try to get the zerks in the correct position. Thanks so much! So fast forward and another big thank you! I was able to get to the back zerk following your instructions but found that I couldn’t find the one I’m supposed to access through the hole. Dealership mechanic ran the electrical wires for the MCS switch covering it😩
when you recharge the jump starter brick and plug to the wall, how do you know when it is done recharging?
There is a display that shows the charging percentage. However, this video is five years old and I'm not sure if they still make this model.
My guess: That's the original recoil spring and the pistol has been shot enough that the spring no longer maintains its original tension. I.E. You no longer have a "14 lb Standard Recoil Spring". Now you have a 13, or 12, or 11 lb spring. If it was my gun, I'd order a new, standard spring (14 lbs I believe is the original spec.)
I cant get this thing to work on a damn for escape, doubt it can do a truck
I have used mine several times to start my Chevy Avalanche. It has a V8 engine, so mission accomplished.
I used mine today earlier in 2024 January leaving Virginia then went to Texas then headed home to Nebraska and I’m glad it was changed in my car cause I didn’t want to call Uber tonight on a Friday. I hate when my car has had issues.
Mine finally died. I went to charge it one day and when I came back the batteries inside had bulged the case and split it.
I'm 95% thrilled with this generator. It's run my whole house with fridge, freezer, computers, tv, 2 window AC units all running concurrently WHILE making coffee. I'm not happy with the Battery On switch. I found it's easy to forget and leave this on, which will drain (and ultimately kill) your battery. Why couldn't this have been incorporated into the start switch so that it automatically turns off? I've looked at the current model of Champion at this power level and it doesn't have that switch. I think this specific model was the beta-test version. As far as the dual fuel feature goes, I like the convenience of propane because you can disconnect it and put it away without having to deal with draining (or stablizing) the gasoline, but power outages are fickle. Perhaps they'll last for 2 hours and perhaps they'll last a week. How many propane tanks to you have to keep around for an emergency? They will ultimately run out and I find that the same power outage will keep the propane filling stations down. Getting more gasoline is just easier in the long run. I've always got it on hand for my snow blower or lawn mower. If it starts to get old, I just empty it into the car and fill the can with fresh.
I've never put gas in mine. Our power goes out so infrequently that I don't want a fouled carburetor when I need it. I've seen what old gas does to lawn mower carbs.
@@TractorMonkeywithJL Totally agree about the fouled carburetor. We don't lose our power much, but when we do, it can be for days. Once the crisis has passed, I drain the tank and run it dry.
I realize this is an older video. However, if you would have removed that yellow part (internal fuse, most likely) and looked to see either a part number, or manufacture's emblem or such, you probably could have researched it and found a replacement. Just an idea...
There wasn't anything written on the part and I never got back to do anything about it. It's still working. I just keep it unplugged and I keep an eye on it while in use.
I took a step bit and drilled hole bigger
Thank you very much, the information you gave me should help.
Hello, my name is, Justin, and I have the same mower. My steering box just went out. Can you list the parts you ordered and where you found them. I would be very thankful for the help. By the way your video is very informative and well done. Thank you.
I bought all the parts on amazon as far as I can remember. The part numbers are as follows: Top bushing - 145207 Shaft arm - 128758 Washer trust - 57079 Support shaft - 124035X Bracket steering - 124036X Shaft arm pittman - 127501 nylon bushings - 109816X Gear sector 22 teeth - 136874 However, I just did a quick check, and I don't see them on there anymore. It may take some creative searching on there by including the name AYP, craftsman, and Husqvarna in the search. You may also have to search through lawn mower parts sites as well. When I was looking back then I saw some whole steering box assemblies but I was afraid to get one because it may not have fit. I decided to buy the parts separately. It could be parts are finally start to fade away since those mower are so old now.
I put one of these engines on a Bunton walk behind in 2000. Mowed for 15 years with it. Then I picked up an Encore walk behind with a 14 kawasaki that was pull start. Got tired of the pull start and rebuilt this engine and put it on the Encore last year. These engines outlast what they were put on, if treated right.
Good video and there are still A LOT of them out there.
Very thorough video. I need the gear/spool housing that you purchased needlessly, would even take the one you took out.😉 May I ask where you found the new. I need to order it. Thank you.
Sorry, It's been too long ago to remember exactly where I bought the replacement. All I can suggest is to do a google search on Black and Decker parts. You will see several websites for lawn equipment parts. You will see websites like www.ereplacementparts.com and parts direct and so forth. Try those places and see if it's still available.
Thank you so much for this teaching video, very helpful!
Glad I could help. Thank you for the kind comment which is rare nowadays.
I got 2 of this for free
Turn the oil container spout up, kind opposite then what you did, this way you can control the flow. Talking about control the flow, I had a bad experience, filling the gas tank on my power washer. Using the new, 'Safe " gas containers, with the safe release valve on it. I didn't realized that it hold the fumes ( Air), it does not let the fumes scape as the old style containers does it. So when I squeeze the release valve to fill the tank, it sprayed gas all over, including my face. Thank to God I had glasses on. Lesson learned, and so much for the 'Safety BS"
What to use to clean the screen? Carburetor cleaner? Gasoline?
I can't remember exactly what I used, but most anything will do. The residue is not sticky and it will wash off easily. Don't forget to wipe off the magnet and be careful with it because they are brittle.
Thank you! Good job!
Thank you
Nice overview. Appreciate you posting this. I also noticed that you built some wooden ramps. I am going to "borrow" (?) that idea - very practical.
Yeah, those ramps come handy. I also use them when changing oil in my cars.
Amazing video , im so close to getting a PNG image in the sim , but i think i dont have the right pixel size , any advice cheers
The pixel size has to be divisible by 4. As long you follow that rule, it's supposed to work.
This video was so helpful! I would have never found that zerk without your help.
Turning the flywheel does it! Not as hard to turn as you might think.
Absolutely brilliantly worked for me thank. Say if you wanted to create more would you just do the same steps or would you just create the packed and drop into your original lib?
I haven't touched the SDK or blender in a year. At my age my memory empties pretty fast, so I can't really answer your question. lol Sorry. I'm glad the video helped you out though.
Instead of cutting and soldering, slide the metal plate off the switch (I don't know if this is necessary, but I did). Then pry the cover off the switch. Work it down the wires. It's tight but it will move. Then you can insert a small pin to take the friction off the spring wire clamp and withdraw the positive and neutral for replacement. The cord I used has a slightly thicker insulation on the wires, so I had to pinch it with needle nose pliers. The holes they go though are more oval than round. Were I to do it again, I'd put a drop of that wire lube electricians use with conduit, to help slide the cover back over the wires until it will snap onto the switch.
Your video help me decide to get the load n go.
I would have bought one too, but it won't fit mine. Only the newer versions.
Do you have this without guitar parts?
Sorry no.
Thanks first video I've seen with all 7 zerks pointed out. And the manual seems to only list a couple :(
Thanks for the comment. Some of those zerks may be covered in the manual for the mower deck.
Great video, I have the same jigsaw that I bought new. Your jigsaw is missing the blade roller bearing guides where they would be mounted by a pin passing through the two empty bores. Without the roller guides makes the blade sit back.
Thanks for the info.
@TractorMonkey with JL - Need your help from your pneumatic impact driver video! Can't find a way to direct message you. Point me in direction for washer type and size you used please!!! I have tried so many!
Hi. Are you talking about the video I made where I repaired my broken Sears impact gun? I think I made two videos about it. The first video I think I just took it apart to see what makes it tick. The second video I fixed it. About all I can remember is I took a rubber faucet washer and made the hole a little larger and used it in the gun. I don't know what size it was. I had an assortment pack of washers from the hardware store. Watch the second video closely and try different sizes. That one was probably around a 1/2 inch or so.
Yes sir. I have done that and watched it a dozen times. I'll look for washers that are thicker in the plumbing section vs hardware section. Maybe thats the trick. Thank you!!!
I got one from 1980 lol. It still runs
You've got some great stuff 3/16th scale pre war 59 Allstare set nice toys indeed, All-State tank car is missing track clips are used on the trestles a to hold track in place! Bless you and thank you. Some fond memories I'm sure 😊 be well Merry Christmas too😮
Thanks for your video. My ancient (25 years old, I think) Shop Vac quit this morning. I was planning to take it to the dump, but the suddenness with which it died made me think again. I opened it up-a little tricky getting the fan off-and found out it was just a loose wire to the motor. It is up and running after an hour's work and the time it took to watch your vid!
Good job!
I'm wanting to buy a 450 price tool set with a tool box for the Tool's
Thanks
This takes forever, there should be a much easier way then this...Good lord, Nice video though
UA-cam are dictators
Very helpful Thank you
Thank you for this info. Just got a used mower like this and repaired the fuel pump and replaced spindle bushings. Great mower !
Thanks for the video! As soon as I try to load the XML, I get the message "The project could not be loaded." Not sure if everything in this tutorial is still current, or how to troubleshoot. Any suggestions?
I know they recently updated the SDK with SU13, so I can't say if they changed something that caused it. I haven't tried importing anything lately. Try joining the facebook group called Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 SDK and Scenery. Those guys can run rings around me and know more than I ever will.
I'm not sure what videos you're refering to but most of the one's i've seen about Briggs 18 hp type engines say to turn the governor shaft left (counterclock wise) while maintaining wide open throttle.J ust my $0.02. Thanks
I followed these steps but the screw turned very minimally. Do I have to loosen that bolt all the way? How much is the screw going to turn? I’m still having issues with my governor.
It's been several years since I made that video. I'm no expert and that was the only time I've had that engine apart. In order to give a correct answer, I would have to go and mess with the governor again. It's running good so I don't want to do that. Hope you understand. Thanks for watching and I hope you can get it working.
