Sugar Plum Danish | Starbucks Copycat Sugar Plum Cheese Danish | Thanksgiving Recipes
Hey guys! Watch me as I make this Starbucks Copycat Sugar Plum Cheese Danish! This was so easy to make and way better than Starbucks! All you need is a few ingredients. I hope you enjoy the recipe!

Ingredients:
1 large egg, whole
1 large egg yolk, divided
1, 17.3-ounce box Puff Pastry, 2 sheets - thawed
For the Filling:
8 ounces Cream Cheese, room temp
6 tablespoons Powdered Sugar
1 teaspoon Lemon Juice, freshly squeezed
1/2 teaspoon Kosher Salt
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Sanding or Turbinado Sugar, for sprinkling
Plum Jam, or your favorite for topping
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375˚F and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper and reserve until needed.
Make an egg wash by beating the egg, and half the egg yolk together with a pinch of salt. Reserve until needed.
Remove the pastry from its bag and discard the paper sheets from it. Open it onto a lightly floured surface and using a rolling pin, roll the pastry out, working one at a time to create a square.
Cut the large square into 4 even squares by cutting it down the middle and cutting each half in half.
Using the egg wash you made earlier, brush some on all four corners of each square, and fold each corner into the middle of the square, pressing down so it adheres.
Divide the Danish between two sheet pans lined with parchment paper and place them in the freezer until firm, 10-15 minutes.
Make the cream cheese filling by combining the remaining half egg yolk, cream cheese, powdered sugar, lemon juice, salt, and vanilla in a bowl and whisk together until no lumps remain.
Remove the danish from the freezer brush the tops with egg wash and dust them with the sanding sugar.
Fill the divots with a heaping tablespoon of the cream cheese filling and place the pastries directly in the hot oven.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown. Turn the pan around halfway through baking.
As soon as the danishes come out of the oven, remove them to a cooling rack. Top them with a teaspoon of the plum jam, and let them cool until room temp or just slightly warm still.

I’ve decided to make turkey tips for Christmas and I had no idea what meat to buy. I’ve only eaten this out never cooked it myself but I am this year
It doesn't matter if you cook down the vegetables or not. It all cooks the same if you cook your dressing for 40 minutes. Those are just wasted steps. But it all looks good.
Thank you so much for sharing! I’ve been binge watching your videos because my surgery is scheduled for December 4th. I appreciate you for showing what you eat so we can see portions sizes. This has been heavy on my mind how to handle the new normal for portion sizes. Also thank you for making recipes and posting them so those of us having vsg, have already had it, or are considering vsg, so we can see healthy alternatives and options that won’t sabotage our progress on this journey. I had surgery 8/28 and I had a stall for 5 weeks I was soooo sad and discouraged… and then boom I started to lose again.. Like you said it’s apart of this journey.. You got this🎉… We got this🎉… Thank you for all your videos esply the VSG… This journey can feel lonely at times

Thanks so much! It's probably not the best option after surgery. I made this for my family. I only ate about a tablespoon of it, but I made sure to eat my protein first. It's so rich that my stomach didn't agree with it. I think these things are ok in moderation, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend eating it after surgery lol. It might be better to make it more protein packed by using protein noodles, low-fat milk, etc. This is quite an adjustment, especially around the holiday season! Long story short...I probably shouldn't be eating this lol.

@TricesTastyEats girl I'm coming along slowly but surely lol. I'm loosing so much inches but the scale still not moving either. I pretty much gave up on that scale I'm just loving the way my clothes fit so I'm going with that vs the scale. I'm guessing since I started working out I'm building muscle so that scales ain't budging at all but tho INCHES are and I love that 💯 I'm still moving along and sticking with the plan no matter what that scale says ‼️
Throw that scale away lol! The way your body feels is really all that matters! Come through inches!!! Yaasss!!! I’m so proud of the progress you’re making sis! You got this! Keep up the awesome work!

Congrats on your loss!!! One Thanksgiving "treat" idea I saw online that I want to try is mixing a package of sugar free cheesecake instant pudding with a protein shake to make protein pudding. Sounds pretty good to me!
