ACKSHULLY! There are 3 versions, PC, N64, PS1, and the PS1 game is actually pretty different just in intro and over word settings and level picking, but the levels themselves are the same, the physics on the other hand, are a bit janky compared to the 64 and PC version. I think the PC and PS1 version have a different version of the music too because they had CD audio, but I can’t remember. Anyways, a lot of things ported to the PS1 from PC and 64 had slightly janky physics because of the precision of the calculations available on the PS1, notably examples are Glover and Re-Volt, both of which have kinda wonky physics on the PS1. PS1 games that were native to the console though usually didn’t seem to struggle with this. Anyway anyway, Glover one of my all time favorite games to, I had it for PC and had to play with a Keyboard, I didn’t play it with a controller until I was like 34 😅.

this is going to sound weird but i thought i was glover biggest fan lol. as a kid this was literally my most played game, i played it more than super mario 64 and actually liked it more in many ways.

Kero blaster unique gameplay i think, is putting player into thought or engaged, like if you look and take a thought, the enemy barrage and placement and the speed pacing of the main character give a pinch distance of tension, like, you need to act, otherwise it is too easy to get hit. It's like, the momentum of the gameplay is gold.

this video brings me to the fascinating epiphany that one could possibly be aware of "egglikes" but also *not* aware of vinesauce

The video is really well made but you take egglike quality too seriously. Egglikes simply died along with the soul of that time period (vaporwave, ironic meme culture, MLG parodies, tumblr etc.) It is just a reflection of bad indie Unity games and their charming history. Egglikes being bad doesnt exist because that is the sloppy charm of them.. fantabulous first version IS an egglike while the newer higher quality version isnt.

Great presentation and design and I will check out more stuff very soon. I'm in the process of getting a job writing mobile game reviews for an app called Mini Review, and for my application, guess what game I chose to look at? 😎 (I honestly couldn't believe that they didn't have a review for this one yet). It's nice to see that some people are hip to Kero Blaster and I hope that our content gets the attention of a younger audience so they can see some of the examples of gaming excellence in a sea of lackluster titles. Also, I'm working on my new video series for those seeking mobile games that are either obscure, underrated, or not widely advertised. It'll be called "Unlimited Mobility" and I hope to finish episode one tonight!
