What is the name of the pesticide you used to fog the apartment please?
I only remember that it was made by Bayer.
OMG we were in Houston for 27 days before I had enough. Honestly, I didn't have a heavy infestation but it was at the beginning stages of an infestation. There were little baby roaches and I was like no I had been through this before when I was younger, it is a nightmare. We moved to Houston to be near my husband's sister she's younger and living alone there. The apartments I lived at were trying to already curve it into us bringing in the roaches, and I was like NO when I was in San Antonio we did not have any roaches, we randomly had a big one like twice the whole year inside and like 3 black beetles. So no we never had GERMAN ROACHES. We had just signed a 15 month lease and my husband was away for work and told me if I could get out of the lease without it hitting our money too bad than we can go back to San Antonio. A multitiude of things was happening not just the roaches and I was living in turmoil. I was like no this can't be my life for 15 months so I went to work. I went on the apartments corporate website and found a guarantee that their properties are the best and that if we are not satisfied we could give the keys back and move out with a refund for anything we paid for the next months rent, deposit, and pet deposit. So I GOT US OUT of that lease. I will never move to Houston ever again, and we moved to San Antonio in a brand new apartment I'm just scared one could've came with me so that's why I'm here on youtube searching for answers lol I only really saw maybe like 12 altogether within two weeks most were smaller and would come out to die. I bought Advion and that is really good to kill them off, but ya I hope they don't come back because I'm really traumatized and super paranoid from the whole thing. I haven't seen any at all but I also never know! I'm glad you guys are out of that apartment houston is just horrible
Houston has just about everything. But my wife and I liked San Antonio more. After I moved out of this apartment, my mind would think that every tiny spot on the walls or floor was a German roach... Never again. Thanks for sharing how you were able to get out of the lease.
@ErikMier. I'm right there with the every tiny spot I made my husband pick up the couch to make sure there wasn't anything inside. Ya it was honestly a blessing but the only battle I have is making sure I didn't bring one with me. I'm still inspecting all things and making sure one doesn't come out. I came out of this constantly cleaning lol I feel like it's never enough with the cleaning
I got news for you. If you live in an apartment complex and you share a common building with neighbors that have roaches YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE THEM TOO, no matter how clean/persistent you and your unit is. Unless they clean up and treat the entire building from top to bottom and end to end the roaches will just move from unit to unit. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get rid of them ENTIRELY unless the ENTIRE building is delt with. Same with any pest (mice too) if you happen to have a neighbor that isn’t concerned (living like a pig) about vermin in their home, unfortunately you will be in an unending/reoccurring pest control nightmare. I have experience in housing and sympathize for anyone living up against folks that do not care because by default the neighbor’s mess affects everyone around them. The only time a building gets totally pest free is when EVERY single unit cooperates and keeps things clean and pest free. A cockroach can live for many months on a pinheaded sized dab of grease and the water in a sink’s drain trap. Let that sink in.
Absolutely 💯
See this is what I'm going through...dude apartment is nasty and causing roaches over here in my apartment.. I mean their crawling all over my counters and living room wall. The fog is convenient however time consuming as well
Amazing video Amazing Spirit!
Thank you!
thanks because I have some dirty neighbors now and I keep my unit very clean
Some people are just messy and others straight out disgusting 😒 I hope you get them to stay away from your unit.
@@ErikMier. I hope so too because roaches are something I absolutely hate
This has been my nightmare as well i came from the northwest to arkansas and i can't seem to get rid of them
Roaches love hot humid environments. I miss the PNW.
Foggy doesn't work. You need to do more and treat whole building
It worked for me since not all the tenants in my building wanted to treat their units. Fogging my unit kept the roaches away from mine.
@kcrubywoo mentioned using ORTHO FIRE ANT KILLER. I agree with that, do it inside AND outdoors when it is dry. For an added bonus: if you live in ground floor, lavender and citronella plants near and around your soil grounds are both natural repellent for roaches. They also keep your soil from ponding water, as roaches are more active when it rains.
Thank you for the advice!
Man same thing at my apartment. But my management actually had the nerve to say that I brought them in here and I’ve even went down to everybody’s apartment. But I have a neighbor next-door and we’re both doing warfare.
That's very disrespectful from your management. I'm sorry that you are dealing with this.
I just moved into what I thought was an almost luxury area in Virginia. I got my keys, left came back that night and the roaches were having a party in the kitchen. I went to Walmart and brought foggers last night. Pest control is coming to spray water next week. How often is it safe to fog? I'm soooo embarrassed and beyond frustrated. I'm here for 12 months, but it can't come fast enough.😢
I know your pain. Pest controll are the ones that fogged our unit. The foggers that you get at the store are not as strong. That's why we had to sign a waiver and it could only be done every 6 months.
how i got out my lease. my first apartment had roaches, spiders, earwigs, silverfish and ants. maintenance would bomb the apartment, that did nothing, they bombed it about 3 times until i said look bombing isn't working. i noticed how uncomfortable the leasing agents got when talking to me about roaches in front of potential residents. That's when it hit me. Every time I would see they had a lot of cars parked outside the leasing office i would go in there and just start talking about all the roaches i got and how bombing ain't working. i did this every time i saw a bunch of cars, EVERY TIME. Once they had enough, I said then let me out my lease and the leasing agent agreed to do so on the spot. I found a much nicer apartment that week and moved out,
You gotta make a video about this! We'll done 👍
How are things now? I just started the protocol yesterday and hope it helps. 🤞🏿
So far so good 👍 I do not have any spots on my face anymore, but the ones in my private area are still visible. However, they are not spreading. Good luck.
In California, roach infestations that are not remedied do qualify for uninhabitable conditions.
That is great to know. Thanks for sharing!
If your neighbor has roaches, you either have roaches or will get roaches
Absolutely 💯
Your video was useless. Thanks:)
That's awesome! 😀
helpful thanks, we will try it.
I hope it works for you.
Signed my lease. Went to go see the apartment full of roaches smh I don't even move in until the 31st and pretty mucj told me I can't break the lease without a fee nor can i get a proper exterminator in before I get keys smh
I'm sorry you are having to go through this. I never got my own exterminator, I used theirs.. but I told them that their spraying was not enough and I demanded something else from them... that's when the manager suggested fogging the unit.
I went through this I got rid of everything and moved to a new city. I also sued my landlord and won it court
Wow 👏 Congratulations 🎊
See I hate to do this but I'm bout to sue too I'm recording everything , pictures etc cause who wants to live with fkn roaches ?!? What else did you have to provide in court for your case ?
Fogging is crazy dangerous for kids right because when you fog the chemicals gets on everything right? I’m asking because I just moved in a apartment and the roach problem here is bad when it’s night time and your walking to your apartment unit you will see them crawling in the grass and in the side walk and on the building, I called for a exterminator and all they did was put combat down and there babies everywhere in the kitchen thank God it’s only in the kitchen any suggestion on what to do because I can’t fog I have two toddlers that run around everywhere and the combat gels aren’t working
I am not a medical professional nor a pest control expert. Therefore, you should consult your doctor and a professional pest control company for accurate advice. All I can tell you is my experience... At the time I had a 4 and a 7 year old plus a small dog and my wife. We never noticed any sort of residue from the fogging. And like I said in the video, the pest control company did the bare minimum until I told them that I wanted something stronger. That's when I was told about the fogging by the apartment management. I personally was more worried about powders, gels, and sprays than the invisible residue of the fogging. Besides, the fogging is what kept the roaches away. I don't believe that they were killed, but it sure kept them away. Good luck!
Use Ortho home defense spray, spray on base boards and up in the corner of the walls. Do it every week for 2 weeks then every 3 weeks, then every month. The spray has no smell and is not harmful to babies.
FOgging is unhealthy. Sometimes can lead to cancer and other health problems later down the road. I will never live in any home after that type of pest control was performed.
You are not wrong.

It was amazing 👏
You have to try advion gel bait. Best way to eliminate infestation.
Thank you for the advice
PEOPLE USE DIATOMACEOUS EARTH !!!!!!!! FOOD GRADE KIND !!!!!!!
Thank you for the advice
It’s so unfortunate that people are so embarrassed to admit when they have roaches, because usually the result is that the building does not get adequately treated and the problem persists for years. It can be extremely frustrating for those of us who are actually trying to eliminate the problem.
You are absolutely correct 👏
Alpine WSG pesticide spray rotated with Transport Micron. These are mixed in a pull sprayer per manufacturer guidelines. These are non repellant sprayed as the repellent ones drive them away when you want to actually kill the roaches. Advion gel bait, Advion cockroach baits. These are pro level products. Your goal is to kill the roaches and also have them take the poison back to their colony. A multiple step approach is needed to get rid of roaches. Another big issue is if there is pet water and food out, cardboard boxes and clutter. The main activity areas are usually the kitchen around the island, refrigerator and other appliance as well as bathrooms. When you move into a new places always treat it for roaches and other insects, etc along with bed bugs. Have a monthly regimen and assume always there are pests in the house. Using proactive measures is the key to control and preventing an infestation. If you have any questions please ask I’ll be happy to assist you! I’ve been in the pest control trip business for 20 years.
😂😂 that’s crazy, I hate roaches
I doubt anyone likes them 🤔
Just use Alpine WSG 🙄😒
Thank you for the advice 🙏
@@ErikMier. After 2 applications I guarantee you won't have anymore roaches
@@GangstaGardenertrue but for $1000 per bottle 😂
@@JayH1931 it doesn't cost that much, plus you don't have to buy the whole bottle. The bottle probably costs around $200 Max but you can buy packs for $20
Rambling nonsense
Thanks 😊
