All of the soldiers named in the credits are based off real WWI and WWII soldiers: The soldier pulling himself out of the mud, at first I thought he was a member of "The Smoking Snakes" (Força Expedicionária Brasileira, FEB, nicknamed Cobras Fumantes), but doing some more research with the patch on his shoulder as well as his helmet, that's Sgt Henry Johnson of the 15th New York National Guard Regiment, aka "The Harlem Hellfighters". Medal of Honor recipient and recipient of French Croix de Guerre avec Palme, France's highest award for valor. The Medal of Honor was awarded to him in 2015. Sgt. Henry Johnson is "one of the five bravest American soldiers in the war." Theodore Roosevelt Jr. in his book "Rank and File: True Stories of the Great War" The Asian soldier with the cocked-hat, that's a Nepalese Gurka named Havildar Gurung (per the credits) who earn the Victoria Cross in the Burma campaign off WWII. Sgt Awal Nur, who did a secret mission over the Himalaya. Lt. Audie Murphy, Sgt. Alvin York are both medal of honor recipients from WWI (York) and WWII (Murphy). I also notice a soldier with the Croix Lorraine on what looks like a French flag arm band, meaning he was a member of the 'Forces françaises libres' forces in WWII. Doing some reading I found out that a large number of French colonial troops from territories such as Chad had joined with the 'Forces françaises libres'. I suspect that soldier is Lt Comba, but I can't find anything on him. As I've been working my way through the names listed in the credits and found another one: Private George Stringer, Manchester, Awarded the Victoria Cross at the Battle of Es Sinn in Mesopotamia. Capt. Dobson, 1st Canadian Infantry Battalion, Killed on 9 July 1916 in Flanders.

I think Ronnie gives the text the right, worthy framework. The Papa Roach version is too rocky for the seriousness of the lyrics. That's exactly what Ronnie conveys in this song, the pain and the fight with and against evil thoughts. Surely only people who have psychological problems and fight their demons every day can understand this. How often her mental world collapses and threatens to bury her. How many times do you think, “I can’t go on like this” and fight your way out, only to find again and again, “Nothing is okay.” But you keep fighting, every day. They fight with all their strength against being buried under their collapsing world. The sad thing is that too many people lose this battle, ultimately running out of strength and being buried under their collapsing world.

Nice reaction. If I remember correctly, this was the release show for the ":Just Brinbg It" album from 2017. This album was the first release that contained nine Band-Maid composed/arranged songs (four were not written by them). This might be a good album to listen to to get a good sense of what their first songs were like. As for new songs, Shamble is the latest from about 2 months ago and there may be a new album coming in Nov., they have been playing 4 new songs at recent concerts in Japan.

Now you have to do their BAND-MAIKO version, 'Secret Maiko Lips'. Have To! If you're new to BAND-MAID they did an April Fool's Day joke saying they were ditching the Maid Look and becoming apprentice Geisha's, or Maikos and playing more traditional Japanese style music. They only did it two years in a row, the other song that got a video was 'Gion-Cho'. After the lockdown they said Miku was going solo as Cluppo and she release an OMV 'PEACE&LOVE. so you might check it out as well.

Johnny, This is the song the evil 👿 “BAND-MAIKO” stole on April 1st, 2018 (I believe), and made their own version. I guess you should probably check it out next so the Maiko’s get credit for the admittedly cool additions and modifications they made to the track. One of the Maid’s best written and arranged pieces in my opinion. Great riff, catchy halftime chorus, that jazz-inspired bridge…there must be five songs worth of work into this one brilliant song. I would love an official live version where we could hear all that stuff Kanami’s playing underneath. She does so much that gets washed out.

I think my favorite live version of this song is the one is the one this video is showing, so it's a bit sad they didn't just use the live audio, but the song is great in any form.

For me, this is ecstasy. One of the best songs ever written and this MV is the best of them all. 10/10.....edit: 11/10, cuz they are an impossible hard rock band that never can do wrong. I love 'em to pieces.
