FINALLY
Into sub 2:40s, it was always the goal and to make it fun, I was attempting to achieve it with as little mods as possible since well for one budget was a constraint but two to showcase that you can achieve good laptimes without having to dump so much money into the car.
The only difference between this run and the previous run was I got a set of used Yokohama A050 (245/40/17) and it definitely helped. Saying that, since it was used, it was still pretty sketchy through the fast corners.

New PB! A huge chunk found in our latest run, all with the help of fresh tyres. Went with a set of Kumho V730s and boy did they make a difference. Improving by 5 seconds on my first attempt and then finding another second by the end of it. So update from the previous run. We're now running bendix metal king titanium pads on the front. And installed our adjustable upper arms at the front to give more camber. Overall, I'd say definite improvement but long way off from where I wanna be. I still care a lot about this car to fully push it to the limit haha but time will come, espescially when better tyres are fitted. Overall, very hap...

Another onboard here, nice to drive what we call an analog car again. No driving aids just the driver to sort things out. Car did feel a bit loosey goosey in some areas ;). An onboard from my karting session with @stratos_motorsports . First time ever driving a proper racing go kart and it was just insane realising how much faster it was compared to a normal rental kart. It wasnt the cleanest of laps but considering it was my first go not too shabby. Thanks to @eracinggpsea and @axlemotorsport for making it possible. PB was a 51.0 on worn out tyres. #virtualtoreality

Wow this goes like stink. Any tips for my car? I have the same one without DSG. I drive now and then on the nurburgring with it, and i find the stock springs and shocks not bad, what do you suggest for springs?
The Clubsport suspension setup is really good coming from factory. If you’re not chasing for record laptimes and just for enjoyment the setup the car has is more than enough. What you could do to the car is maybe lighter rims (18inch) and stickier tyres. That helps massively. An engine remap wouldn’t hurt too for more power ;)
@@naquibnorazlan9317 I have the 18 inch belvedere forged wheels that originally came with this car. They are very good, made by fuchs... I know everybody took those 19 inchers but those original wheels where ment to be on this car because they are so light...

It very much depends on how good the stock suspension the car has. This GTI clubsport came with stiffer springs and dampers from stock compared to normal GTI. Generally, if you would like to track your car , upgrading suspension is advisable. Start of with sport springs if you want to do it slowly

Yep fully stock. But this is a GTI clubsport so slightly stiffer than standard GTI.
