Dang I Was Hoping To Upgrade My T128 To The T248 Soon

At least in BeamNG, I have been able to tune out the deadzone and uneven force feedback response of my G29. This by generating and importing a LUT for it, using the two programs found on some fora. While it's still undeniably a cheap wheel, the price was right and this tuning elevated it to feel adequate in for fun racing. This does make the gears even louder, especially since I disabled FFB smoothing, but I don't care since it gives me better detail. Which is one of the few things the Logitech wheels seem better at, though the gear lash still is noticeable. It's still a bit on the slow side, but since I currently focus on tracking for the fun of it, it still works out. The plan is to keep using it until it develops a defect, to then go nuts with modding it. Once that makes it fall apart will I commit to a proper upgrade

Good advice. My tips 1. Do not waste your money on a fold up rig unless you have to store it away after each use. They are very uncomfortable with zero lumbar support, you will ache after even a short time playing. But if you must, the playseat challenge folds away easily. 2. Mount your entry level wheel to a desk. Desks are multifunctional and cheaper than purpose built stands. 3. Buy the G29/920 and even better if you can buy used to save money. Mine is 4 years old and as good as the day I bought it. Why logitec? Because this is PlayStation only advice and their latest Pro series is market leading at the price point of a casual gamer. 4. Buy good quality headphones. Feedback is limited so sound is utilised to add an extra dimension of grip. 5. Prioritise upgrading to a solid rig before direct drive wheel and load cell pedals. GT Omega Lite has everything you will ever require for a PS or PC build and best value for money. 6. Buy the logitec pro loadcell pedals if you're still addicted after a years game play. They work with your current wheel and will feel like a huge upgrade. Buy the Pro DD wheel and base when budget allows. I hope this has helped someone in addition to the great video produced.

I am still at my desk with my Fanatec Inverted Pedals with Loadsell brake..... Get some pedals that font flip around and you are good to go....

Good video! I'm gonna be a bit negative here. Everybody is saying that load cell pedals are much better, I just don't understand why. I thought I knew physics, but maybe I'm stupid. A pedal with a potentiometer measures the distance or angle, but if you put a spring behind it, which compresses linearly, the measured breaking power will be linear with the force you're pushing it. Same as the load cell, which measures the force directly. So what's the difference?

Did not start with sim racing, I started with ETS 2 and TDU 2 at the time, had a logitech driving force GT, was good to me for about 4-6 years, I slowly drove less because I got bored of ETS2. Eventually I sold the DFGT as I wanted to upgrade, got the folding Next level racing set up and a T300RS with the TH8A shifter, with it I drove in assetto corsa and kept that until I was moving, and sold it, because it was too big to bring with me. Actually I am thinking of buying the same set up again right now, T300RS with TH8A and a stand is about as cheap as I would go, the T300RS is belt driven so while it does not have the force of a direct drive, it does have the constant forces, which makes it a decent choice for flexibility since you can also use it for drifting.

Bought a cheap drafting table at Ikea. The legs lower. Attach wheel and shifter. Pull up couch. Works great. Rug on floor holds pedals because friction.

i spent 172€ on t248 30€ on a h pattern shifter (aliexpress) + another 40 for a sequential shifter (aliexpress) everything feels good

I've been using this rim for 6 years now and I still love it. The alcantara looks like crap by now and there's a spot were the glue came undone so I fixed it with some tape. I started using it on my T500, then it moved to the TS PC Racer and now it's on my T818. I disagree when people say this wheel isn't versatile. I use it for rally, street cars, classic and classic racing cars. The shifters are not great but they never failed on me, same goes with the buttons. I have been eyeing the new R32 EVO rim to replace the R383 and if you are buying new then that one seems the way to go for sure.

One of the things I regret is never getting in to actual motorsport, I'd have loved to have gone road racing (motorbike) such as IOM TT. WAY too late now. i just bought the t248, i got it recommended from someone who owns a 3K sim setup. And I gotta say, also coming from a driving force GT, this feels so good. I will probably upgrade in the future, but not near as fast as you did :p

Hi love the video, did anyone here lose power to the wheel and knows perhaps how to fix it? I recieved my TGT 2 2 days ago. Brand new. It worket for half an hour on GT7 on PS5. Than i tried dirt rally 2.0 and EA WRC. IT wouldnt work. I realised that you have to switch the GT (usb switch i believe) to OTHER for all games other than GT7. I restarted the ps5. While it was off i switched over to OTHER while i unplugged the usb. As described in the manual. Thats when it wouldnt turn on and its been sitting there. My game shop offered me a repair, im a bit turned off atm. as I've seen a lot of people with this issue on reddit and other sites. Any recommendation would be greatly appreciated. I am uploading a video as we speak. You can go have a look at how i connected it. Maybe im do8ng something wrong. I would like to crack the TGT 2 open and see for my self but that would void my warranty. Im gona try connecting to my pc maybe a software update is needed. I got one of the first ps5 that came out when the shortage was on. Maybe the older ps5. Dont wotk...i dont know anymore. Any imput would be greatly appreciated.

Do you think that it is too big for racing with group c cars?

Get a second hand G29, a simple support and buy harder springs (or even a load cell adapter for those pedals) and that's pretty much it for a beginer. It's the cheaper that you can get with a reasonable performance. And it also works on a playstation. When you really get fast with these setup, you can go for a DD. I still feel that It's hard to evolve only on GT7. Get Assetto Corsa Competizione and do some practice on it, when you start learning how to trail brake, go back to GT7 and you will be able to be fast over there too. If you have a PC, iracing is even better to learn how to brake.

Where should we get the wheel base ??

If you're going to spend big money and want to race sims you definitely need to go the pc route. The consoles only have Assetto Corsa. Not to mention the modding community. Loads of cars and tracks that you can import. I remember GTR2. I loved GTR2 so much. Adjustable AI behavior, damage, tire wear, fuel usage, weather, loads of tracks and cars from the modding community. Nothing's come close; maybe I just got old...😂

I started with the Log DFGT. Lol. Now at a T300 RS GT with TLCM now.

I got the t248 as a upgrade from the g923 it was much better I was thinking of buying the tgt2 at first but it was to expensive so then I found the t248 in my opinion it felt way better the pedals were the biggest upgrade the screen was pretty useful to me it’s pretty good for its price in my opinion
