Great job! Love your analysis
I like that Denise Richard’s interview was included such an underrated villain
great video, you have new fan
Even beauty is corruptible. But not purity.
So glad we grew up when we did :')
I happened to see this in theatres like a weirdo on opening weekend and I think it was almost virtually empty, which is fine because then I can LOL in real life without fear of feeling weird... This still remains one of my favorite films of all time, much less comedies much less Kirsten Dunst films... I am glad it finally found a cult following in the DVD/streaming era because it's as savage and wickedly funny as a mockumentary can be with so many NSFW quotes I could be banned for using the real language on here... But even just how the Japanese-American family treats their older piano playing daughter is so funny I can start giggling just thinking of it... 'We're in American now, speak ENGLISH you stupid, little, R-tard." I seriously can't think of any comedies that were so sharp and mean but in a purposeful manner to show both how self-hating immigrants can be in the quest to fit into their new surroundings and show how parents often pick a favorite while neglecting the welfare of one child over the other despite one actually being talented and the other a functional gibbering maroon who barely made it through the fitness routine...
She always looked more like she was graduating high school not middle school lol
he was hot enough for me to not be distracted
I completely love nate so much . And he had the biggest soft spot for Jenny Humphrey. I haven't seen the final 2 seasons yet . But nate is the kindest most caring character. But one problem or not a problem I guess I find it funny is that nate literally falls in love with everyone 😂 I mean every girl who talks to him he keeps making out with them 🤣🤣
"I hope you're happy." "Amber should have won." "I'll tell you one thing, Peter never would have pulled a stunt like this." "Well you know what, Dad? You know what? Peter's gay! GAYYYYYY!!!!" RIP Brittney Murphy
Omg I’m like an hour away from Santa Rosa, I have to see that movie 😂
I just watched Drop Dead Gorgeous again and it’s sooooo good
This is one of my all time favorite movies 😂😂😂
Omgggg had that game
Im so glad that Drop Dead Gorgeous is getting the recognition it deserves. I still have this on DVD
Cherish that dvd! It’s not streaming anywhere 😢
Thank you! I found it interesting!
I loved your video!! I just finished the show and I initially didn’t take it too seriously but I really liked your analysis. I still do hope nan ends up with guy in the second season as it makes more sense for the story and the value it puts in freedom and agency, but I’d love to hear more insight about that too!

It's a great film I could watch it ove4 and over You did a great piece here girl KEEP IT UP I am going to look for Smile
Candy striper not stripper
One thing I noticed was if you pay close attention to the timeline, you can see why Gladys is so hellbent on making her daughter the pageant winner. All the girls are 17, and Gladys herself competed and won the Mount Rose title *17 years ago*. But she never went any further - she never went to state. The reason why is that she was knocked up and had to drop out. She got married and had Becky, and all these years she's been thinking about how she was robbed of her victory. So now Becky's going to be her chance for a vicarious redo, and THIS time she's going to go all the way to the Nationals.
I'll live through you, I'll make what I never was, if you're the best maybe so am I.
I want to watch it so baddd, but I can't find it anywhere! where can I watch it???
Oh! I binged the 2023 version a few weeks ago so I’m excited about this! No one ever talks about it!
It’s Cheyanne
What about Alex Rider?
Had to change the playback speed to 1.25, you talk soooo sloooooooowly :D And I know you didn't just say Dan was an UES character.
This video gives me nostalgia 🥹❤️
Denise Richards doesn't have an accent in this movie because she couldn't do one. Period. Full stop.
Hahaha I love Denise
Candy Striper. NOT candy stripper.
YASSS, finally! SOMEONE made a video about this love ya!
What is the background song of your video? I love this video, really enjoyed it❤
so this could be wrong but im pretty sure it was from this video and i think it's either the song marshmallow or beats daily? ua-cam.com/video/La9IzR_m6rs/v-deo.html
Great video essay! After watching this, I appreciated the storyline of the show more. Personally, I didn’t like Cole. I agree with your opinion, love triangles are supposed to make us wonder who the main character will choose.
thank you so much!
@@adelaidetipton4931 you’re most welcome. Keep on doing the great work ❤️
The one film, not available in Australia. I want drop dead gorgeous.
nate and jenny are endgame
honestly they should have left gg a mystery and maybe continue it later on
At the last actual pageant in the movie.... when they are showing each town..... oh my god Whoever made this KNEW minnesota..... When it drops on "moose lake" Holy shit....
@@MatthewGill-nv4tb The movie was written by Lona Williams. She was Minnesota Junior Miss 1985. She played the judge who didn't talk.
This was an amazing analysis!! I enjoyed watching 👏🏾👏🏾
I love Brittany Murphy in this film especially her laugh.
Peter's gay, Dad. Gay!!!!!
@@NJGuy1973so hilarious
The 2000s was The Wild West of fashion. It was a mixture of the past and future. I’m a 90s kid but damn being a teenager in the 2000s was a hella good time. My style was a mixture of Raven and Miranda.
why did I think you would be talking about will ferrell's critically acclaimed hit movie kicking and screaming (2005)
THIS WAS REALLY WELL DONE!
This should have millions of views! I relate heavily to this as I was so lost after college.
the pronunciation of sennott got me every time 😭 great video though!
that's understandable😭 😭. dang that's going to drive me crazy that i messed that up/didn't catch in editing. might delete and reupload for that. thanks for telling me.
So glad this was recommended to me. Beautiful crafted essay
This was such an in depth yet concise video essay! I loved it <3 Keep it up!!!
Wait you’re telling me they actually made a mackenzie falls show?!!
the pilot really did a good job at hooking you in, and the season really delivered on the promise of how good it is. And i think the other season had to exceed this start and they also managed to do so (i stopped watching after s3 for the obvious reason you would think lmao, so idk if it’s still good after that, but it went on for 6 season so i assume yes)
