Static shock was one of my favorite animated dc cartoons growing up. In my opinion this show embodied ture Diversity at its best. It managed to tackle serious issues without diluting the story. The Interactions between static shock and gear were one of the best Friendships I have ever seen. It's one of those shows I wish it had continued for a little longer sometimes.

Thanks for the break down… I was so young when I watched this but still love it! Even with the deep dive explanation I see it was always surreal and confusing as all hell… I remember that happy ending tho, Maxx becoming a gardener and in a way Julie healing. V cathartic.

The 3rd season's animation was upgraded to be a full on DCAU show. That way it would be easier to cross over with Batman Beyond, The New Batman Adventures, Superman The Animated Series and Justice League which it did.

Would you guys say that the MCU Iron Man is very different from this Iron Man?

I remember this TV show and I love it so much

One of my favorite shows, it was underrated series. A beautiful show with great costumes, how it showed Superman in a refreshing new light, the Legion being a perfect merge of three versions (silver age, post zero hour and threeboot). I love the action, character dynamics and looks of these characters and they were the definitive Legion for me. This show deserved more seasons tbh

The Emerald Empress only turned evil after she was mocked by the legion for her weight and was turned away even though she passed all their test with flying colors. the moral is dont mock others they may become your most dangerous enemy

This was my staple while doing homework in the evening along with other shows like Spiderman, X men and fantastic four, hulk, silver surfer etc.

Oh man, I'm so sad they never actually made it back. This series could really use a reboot. Edit: actually, I thought about it a bit, and if you consider the show as the adventures of a group of kids who are PLAYING the game, then it's not actually sad at all. It means they never stopped playing! It's actually pretty wholesome. Still could use a reboot, though!

The problem with spike is there already was an x-men with his powers, Marrow. He doesnt fit into the main continuity. but with alternate timelines being a big thing he might make a return, heck Rivals brought Galacta the Daughter of Galactus back, she was all but forgotten like Spike.

I was glad to finally see Metamorpho in animation (since his 1967 Filmation series pilot was shelved), but was appalled as to how they altered his origin, using the mutagen gas instead of the meteorite inside the lost Egyptian pyramid, thereby eliminating his one weakness-the Orb of Ra, which Stagg would use to ensure his cooperation.
