@@mandaloresmercy you’ré very welcome. Get well soon! I’ve since been down to getting on just Onewheel.
We are fortunate to have several places where you can rent e-bikes. I recommend doing that BEFORE buying one.
@@bluejaycamp That’s a terrific idea. For sure. Test before you buy. But are the companies renting these doing so for the purpose or providing a test or to just commute? If the latter, likely not much selection.
@@bluejaycamp Renting though doesn’t give much of a sense of the realities of owning. Charging, storage, transport, maintenance etc.
Excellent points, also living in areas that most people do a cargo bike isn't a good fit. A cargo bike is better suited for places that have bike infrastructure. Most American cities are built and designed around cars, a heavy bike that is difficult to maneuver and secure isn't a good fit.I'm a bike commuter and I find bikes that are slow to respond a liability.I wish this wasn't the case but it is what it is.Fantastic video.

I've had various versions on my ebikes for almost 4 years... just mount them in safe-zones on your ebike... I've decided to try something... I bought a power-box AAA battery pack with a usb connector... then bought a 4 in 1 Pd to Usb cable... everything hooks up to the power-box... the pd-usb cable comes at 39 inch lengths... going to mount it in the middle of my bike and keep them all hooked up... I'll only have to take the Controller off to recharge. These lights are very small and they do power off fast (tired of constantly taking them off)... so I'm going to try the above methodology and see how long a 3 Triple A battery pack will do. Hoping I don't have to recharge or replace the batteries for many months (like a converter for a TV). The cost was $15.00 Cda (Us $11.00) from Aliexpress. www.aliexpress.com/p/order/detail.html?orderId=8194267430963483&edm_log_data=action-log-link&edm_click_module=4271511070&tracelog=rowan&rowan_id1=pay_success_20240926_1_en_US_2024-10-03&rowan_msg_id=3483819426743096$6146200cc23645f1a6dde7c367f4b0d1&ck=in_edm_other www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006075546956.html?spm=a2g0o.order_detail.order_detail_item.4.7a71f19cvF2nrY
Bro, you definitely want to loosen your belts. Also your wheels are too tight. Don't make a video if you have no clue what you're talking about. Sorry if this comes off harsh but you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.
I do like your safety concerns. However you're misinformed on most everything else when it comes to operating this board. Not your fault.
The best video to operate the Tenergy TB6B! Thank you!
You're the MF man. I'm curious what you think about about the EKX T1 vs either the jansno x50 or the happyrun? I'm stuck.
I would advise against any of those. You want something from a more legit company, preferably American with a good history. These are all Aliexpress and Amazon bikes - something you want to stay away from. You'll get zero support and there's zero reliability with a brand that has no strong history. Company comes first, followed by the product. Don't look at a product and then try to justify the company behind it. The company should at least have a phone number which is absent on the EKX website and would you really can Jansno in China? Jansno's $5 off coupon is insulting to say the least. Have you noticed that under the dealer menu, there are no dealers? They just claim to be looking for dealers. I recommend you spend some time in any Facebook Groups that may exist for these ebikes for at least 3 weeks to see what the community talks about. The only China brands I'd ever consider are Magicycle, Yadea and Mockwheel. Seeing the cafe racer look you seem to be going for, you may want to take a look at the Ride1Up Revv1 or the Yadea Trooper 01. In terms of styling, Raev seems like something what fits up your alley, namely the Bullet. They are a Canadian brand. Particularly if you're spending upwards of $2k, you really don't want to be giving it to some random sketchy company. I'm not confident in any of the ones you've listed. Buyer beware.

Class 3 ebikes in CA (and various other states) have a max speed of 28 mph. Btw, nicely done practical video.
@@lmsarmiento Correct but Class 3 is still for offroad use. Most cities still limit to Class 2 speeds on public roads. That’s why bikes that are Class 3 capable are shipped with Class 2 settings and Class 2 decals. You always hear about owners “unlocking” to Class 3.
@Funcentric , the only restriction, besides age and helmet usage, for Class 3 ebikes is that they are not allowed on Class 1 bike paths. Otherwise, they are street legal. Anything over 750w and 28mph pedal-assisted max, is limited to offroad use.
@@lmsarmiento I stand corrected.
I've had some of these and they're great but there's a huge design flaw. The charging port on the controller is blocked by the little bracket that holds it to the bike so it's impossible to charge unless you unscrew the back
@@WoodstarForges depends on your mounting method I suppose. I’ve had zero issues. I just slide it off the bracket when I need to recharge.

Well I was about to get a 'real' rc with Big Rock... Just wanted to upgrade from Chinese RCs. Looks like it's a pain for a part time hobbyist... Should I go with MJX 10208? I don't know but I don't to spend my time repairing these stuff...
@@nivin3 that would be a solid plan. The MJX is too powerful for its size so you really have to be disciplined in driving it to keep it alive. The Haiboxing cars I have are solid for reliability and parts are easier to get. I do have a part 2 of this arrma video that tells you what parts you need to get to keep it solid and running without so many issues. Also I have a video about building a 2S 1/10 scale Arrma that’s way more reliable.
Breaking it down, if you want to buy something and be done w/o zero modding, then the MJX car is the one to get. But again, stay disciplined b/c it's way too powerful for its size. Wheelies no problem. If you want something super reliable and be able to give it to a kid or friend to drive w/o worrying about it, then an HBX 16889A Pro would be it. You absolutely cannot mod this. It can't handle more power. If want to tinker a lot and understand the build of the car and mod, then building a 2S Arrma 1/10 scale would be a fun project. This is different from buying a Mega and just putting a LiPo into it. Building meaning, designing the combination of motor and pinion, ESC built specifically for 2S up to 32mph. But if it's speed you want, the MJX can pull close to 40mph out of the box. Size won't be as impressive as a 1/10 but way more portable and takes up less space at home.
@@Funcentric thanks man... That upgrade you mentioned is rocket science for me lol
@@nivin3 okay then it’s a matter of how much you value reliability and durability. Generally 1/16 scale cars are way more durable because it doesn’t break under its own weight. 1/10 with power are heavy. The MJX models are the exception. They’re both dense and powerful. MJX isn’t known for parts availability so buyer beware. In contrast, HBX has better customer service. The only Chinese company I know who you san actually communicate with (via Facebook).
@@Funcentric hey can you suggest a good 1/10 Hbx model?
Very good comments, thoughts. I bought a single eBike. Thanks.
@@njsarn Thanks, “single” meaning one bike or meaning for one rider?
@@Funcentric It’s a one rider bike. I almost fell for the cargo ebike. 😅
@@njsarn Glad you reconsidered. A lot of drawbacks of a cargo bike people don’t consider and then follows the regret. But no one talks about that because telling people the truth apparently isn’t a good way to sell bikes.
Your door light under your pint is cool, but just in case you're not aware, having a red and blue light flashing on the road is illegal in a lot of places. You also may freak some people out where they think you're a cop and start driving erratically because they think they're being pulled over.
@@hose3462 I thought so too but only on cars. I verified with a cop friend of mine who I ride e-bikes with. You can legally have it on your person or a non car, meaning PEV’s are fine. The lighting color and patterns do change but I think the default light are the police lights unless you change it manually. Good if motorists think they’re being pulled over. They’ll slow down hopefully.
I’d argue that front headlights illuminate rocks and uneven terrain at night -especially important for one wheels and esk8s. And if you have front headlights, for all intents and purposes of being seen from the rear, they are effective as well. So to me, rear lights on esk8s and one wheels are not as necessary as front lights
@@Miguel_Molina I hear ya. It’s nice to be able to see the shadows and therefore depth of uneven terrain at night. I feel like they’re even more visible than in the daytime. However, maybe it’s my board or the mounting height but I’m not able to get the distance of strong illumination to ride comfortably without my helmet lights. My city also does have crazy terrain. Not very well kept. It doesn’t help that there’s also nutty drivers and cyclists to worry about. Ride safe!
To me you're an ebike guy so I have a question. Have you seen the Heybike Hauler?
@@extraHERO haha, that comment should probably be in an Ebike video. I have heard of the Heybike Hauler but have not seen one in person and have never ridden one. I’m not a fan of the brand.
