Quick update on the bus. Decided on putting a Honda J32 engine swap, my friends Matt Steedle and Vinny Esposito have already done this swap in a Vanagon, and offered to do the same swap in my 65 split window. There will be a complete build thread with photos and video. The plan is to make a DIY kit that will be much easier and cheaper to do then a subi swap with 260HP to boot. Best part the J35's cost $400!

my bus lowers every time I get in it.........lowers even more one by one when people get in it and amazingly it raises back up when they get out.......doesnt cost me a dime in lowering parts.......its drivable, doesnt scrap its ass off on speed bumps either.

Yes currently the suspension has been completely removed, I am selling the front beam which has been narrowed inside the frame rails approx 9" I am going with a Wagonswest airbeam on the front and air bags on the back as well with the rear kit coming from Wagons West as well

@Silvermannnnnn The backing up part and scraping the bumper was for the dramatic effect, I knew it wouldn't go straight up like that, even on angle that back bumper is just way too low. Once the air ride is done and im in my new shop, I'll never have to worry about steep driveways..lol

Gotta learn how to get all the angle you can out of that drive way!

@earlyvwfanatic 205/40 R17, the rear has been converted to a using a1971 IRS suspension, and the inside has been widened & tubbed out to allow the wheels to fit up inside the wheel arches. On the front I am utilizing a 9" narrowed front beam (mounted inside the frame rails.

@a914freak what size tires are you running? Are you running narrowed torsion housing in the rear to fit these in the wheel well?
