Holy moly dude that looks sick

This whole QR fiasco is what made me ditch them for Moza because their QR was top notch from the start. I bought Fanatec csl dd soon after it came out and it took them 2-3 years to get this stupidly simple engineering problem solved. The launched this full price and not even a few weeks later they heavily discounted the parts which just infuriated their fans. Nothing good came out of this story. It was slow to the finish line. People got screwed out of their money and now it is becoming non compatible. However. Despite being a total shite company, they are getting their act together. They also have done stuff that Moza still has not done or refuses to do which is a button box. Fanatec has 2 decent button box models that you can use and play with and a bazillion rims to put on these bbox. Moza has none of this. That seriously ticks me off. Fanatec has a button box. Asetek has one, Logitech has one. So you can collect rims along the way and refresh the old lead in the pencil once in a while. Moza also is not really catering to the good sweet spot in their line. They have the ES wheel but then things jump to very much higher with no product in between. Fanatec has a library from the dirt cheap to the super expensive and every reasonable price point from cheap to expensive has a model to look into. Moza catered to the very low, then jumped straight away to mid class and rich blood wheels. That is pissing me off right now. Fanatec was able to put the MacLaren branded gt wheel out for 200$ Moza has not done that. Thrustmaster has a bunch of branded wheel from cheap too expensive and Logitech has the button box now to build your rim Library. All things considered i should have stayed with Fanatec, get a couple of QR's and get on with my life instead of reinvesting in a company that does good stuff but seems to have no focus. Making a trucker wheel and a set of blinkers to cater to maybe 5% of the sim enthusiasts market is not a good sign of a focus. It may be good for trucking fans but the fans who are craving different stuff are left behind. Also they just released some super expensive wheel, once again a 1% of the market product. They are trying to outdo Fanatec now and that might be their undoing, just like the screw up fanatec did in every which way possible, Moza seems to be on that path too. They are desperate to try to sell their stock so they are offering bundle galores. They are also trying to saturate the market with coming close to 10 different type of wheelbase NM models while most of them are for PC only. This is also not good. Yes they do have bases for the consoles now but it's the lowest possible entry level gimmick possible. Not good.

If you are on PC, its trash. There are so many better options. AMS2, ACC, LMU, RRE, rF2 and of course iRacing. AMS2 is so amazing these days and in VR it's spectactular.

Looks like a clean build! Tho having that GPU right up against the top cover looks like it might be a bit suffocated for air, hopefully it's doing okay.

They should give less attention to cars and get more tracks done. It is a sore point of most racing sim that you get a small amount of tracks and then the software becomes abandonware and you are left with doing the same thing day in and day out. I posted somewhere that they should do more track even if they are imaginary tracks and some people totally ragged on me because of this saying that people want real tracks: Well A: There is not a thousand of those. Maybe a 100 if you go around and pick every little piddly track around the globe.. so already that limits your choice. B: By now, it is a trop to have all the real life tracks in and it is getting to be a tired trope. You can only do so much until you get bored.... Unless they find ways to put in series and such which Forza seems to want to do, but that also as so much mileage and their series are often time limited and then disappear, which is another issue. Once you put in a series it should stay there and not vanish. It should simply give you the option to do it again. It would be content that piles up and extend what you can do. My take is that Forza needs a lot more tracks even if they are imaginary. They did some good ones but they need to do more. They really need to take this problem seriously. why? Assetta Corsa EVO is going to come and eat their lunch if moding is well supported. People will make tons of mods and cars and tracks and it will completely ruin a lot of games like GT7 and Forza, maybe not fully destroy gt 7 but many people might go the pc way for the amount of content. If the moding is as intense as it is/was for the original AC, i don't see any game selling that much from that point on. People will ad what other companies refused to do or were too lazy to do or could not afford to do and there will be no turning back. Imagine then inserting a track editor and letting people create tracks with their assets. We would end up with terrabytes of content pretty quickly. AC has been great at adding series and championship, cars and tracks. The only thing is that its graphic engine is at end of life so imagine the new one. It will be just plain crazy.

I have been on Forza Motorsport for about six months now. It feels much better than at launch. And I am a Xbox player but there is still a lot of setup you have to do to dial in the advanced wheel setup. It definitely isn't a plug and play. But I really enjoy it. I like having the monthly updates and the opportunity to get new released cars with that but I don't have to grind it out like mad in fear of missing out. I totally agree with the AI for the drivatars. They are horrible on race starts. Lol.

Game takes now like 150gb of space on PS5 and barely has any variety in tracks and events lmao.

There’s literally a setting in Gran Turismo that allows you to change the camera view for a more realistic offset view. Geez…🤦🏻‍♂️

Turn 10 failed and hard. Racing online still sucks and me personally I'm gonna go back and run forza7 . At least in that game the leader bord record's times in every division. Not just only the class leader bord.

All the content they added over the past year is stuff that should of been in the game to begin with. 2025 and beyond is when the support starts.

Who cares about the AI? Nobody’s gunna race against a computer when you’ve got live lobbies are they? If so why? To unlock those cars just change settings to auto drive. I’d never do those ultra boring races myself. Yey I got a victory over a microchip! Well done Lewis!😂

They haven’t patched all the bugs. The ‘built from the ground up” guy still works there. He was the biggest bug Forza has. Delete him! Nobody trusts liars. Sack the managers NOT the (temporary) devs.

It’s actually really fun. I think I was too hard on it because of my experience with the last two games, but it’s grown on me and the graphics are better than anything out imo

My biggest issue is the A.I. They just don't seem to register your presence when you're making a pass in the corners and they don't give any room at all. At Lime Rock they can't navigate turns at all, many just run off into the grass and hardly recover. The A.I. model definitely needs work. Other than that, I feel I still love how far this sim has come.

Watching this a year later. What a ride! 😂😂😂 The Bentley wheel is out. Most seem to dislike it based on its looks and cost. A doppleganger company (or two) are making knockoff QR2s and selling them for up to $40 less than what Fanatec wants. After falling further and further behind in customer services and fulfilling orders, its been revieled that Fanatec's parent company fell into insolvency. As a condition of Fanatec's parent company's deal with lending banks, the company was forced to fire its founder/CEO. Shortly after appointing an interim CEO Fanatec offered itself up for sale. After a long and dramatic production from Fanatec's investors and former CEO, Fanatec was bought by Corsair. Yeah. Fanatec has been through some things over the past 12 months but, their lack of products makes sense after all that happened. I am glad that Corsair will allow them to do, what they do best. Now if they can better address the prices of the QR2. When bought with a wheel, the QR2 should have a huge discount. But that most likely will not happen.

Forza is dead to me honestly, the maps are boring, car physics are not good, car customization is lacking, the only thing about forza is it looks good. There are so many better car games out there....

Ok lets sort this out. Forza horizon is simcade, the FFB and physics is real enough to class as a simcade. NFS etc is arcade Forza Motorsport / Grand Turismo is simulators. Yes, the hot wheels expansion is arcade, thats probably why i never cared to even touch it. What decides if a racing game is arcade, simcade or sim is the driving physics, nothing more, nothing less, Realistic physics = simulator. End of discussion

Wow you are a very underated UA-camr, great video and opinions. I still have never played a cool racing games like Forza, other than Asphalt 9 on mobile, I don't like. I wanted to ask would you say Forza 5 premium edition is still worth buying as of right now? I am also considered Forza 4 as its getting delisted, but I just want to try one of the Forza game. I just want to play a racing game during my free time where I can chill and appeariate the visuals, sounds, and environments while being in my dream super cars.

My biggest issue with getting back into it is still the individual car levels and customization being locked behind those levels. I don't want to have to spend 30 minutes to an hour driving around in free race just to be able to unlock all the car parts for a new car. I feel that was done for a very small crowd of people

I dunno, has it suddenly become unpleasant to drive with? Also it has 13 buttons from memory, minus the switches. 300mm. With the clutch paddles, and the magnetic shifters on the V2? It's a very capable wheel.

I think it depends on what you want from a sim racer. I used to have a racing wheel and stand, but needed the storage space back so sold up. The sims designed for a wheel are going to have more realistic and challenging handling but Forza is a mainstream game which most will use with a pad. And with a pad it’s definitely the best simulation style handling I’ve played. With a pad it’s easy to quickly check the position of the AI drivers and I’ve not had issues (and can rewind time if needed). For a more casual audience I think it’s pretty much perfect.

Sony, do the right thing and rerelease a game of the year edition locked at 60fps complete with all dlc. It’s the least you owe to this fantastic game.

I love this game. But I never got the chance to buy the dlcs. I wanted to try out all the cars. The car list was so immaculate and the authenticity of the cars and sounds and driving experience were so accurate. It's a shame that they didn't come up with a second part cuz this was way ahead of its time.

For some reason this is the only game that i keep missing to this day since i sold my ps4...out of all the amazing titles including bloodborne and uncharted 4 THIS is the one that i still think with fondness. I really loved it. I wish sony could give us a nice remaster on ps5 and pc. It wasn't even a complete failure and they threated the game and the devs like trash 😮
