Fleetwood were not anything special, very average...but Walsall were terrible in that game and were terrible against Bradford except for the first 5 mins. Walsall fans were celebrating too early, every season there are teams in the lead who collapse due to a whole range of reasons...recalled loans, injuries, key players off form, nerves, loss of confidence, opposition wising up, divisions in the camp etc... It is funny that Walsall's 12 point ( now only 9), kind of puts a lot more pressure on them for their next game, as it will be in their head about losing 3 in a row... even losing 2 in a row detracts from a 9 win run.

I didn't go to the match against Accrington but will go to Meadow Lane against Bromley. Our performance against Accrington was inspired and George Abbot's goal was out of this world. I would like to watch the full match replay on Pies player. Didsy gets better and we have a good squad in general, I am optimistic about the season.

Beating Carlisle at Brunton Park for the first time in 40yrs was a very sweet result on Saturday lunchtime...Pattison was unlucky not to score himself on the day but he was superb otherwise as u mentioned Tom m8...To be able to leave Mellon on the bench and put all our other new signings on the bench as well on Saturday shows our depth in the squad and really looking forward to taking on runaway leaders Walsall on Saturday at Valley Parade where we've only lost game all season (to Doncaster)... As a Walsall fan, most Walsall fans don't know their arse from their elbow. We were always going to be at least top 7 this season. We only just missed out of play offs last season in a much stronger league, with a far weaker squad, and Sadler was still finding his feet. Couldn't have predicted where we are now, though.

The thing with Grimsby is that when we're good, we are one of the best sides in the league, but when we have an off day it's catastrophic. It should be said that our injuries have been really bad as well so players like Thompson & Vernam coming back regularly and JDS getting more used to his surroundings should help in the 2nd half of the season.

Not that good a weekend for the Saddlers with Nathan Lowe being recalled by Stoke. The third January in a row that this has happened - our top scorer going back to his parent club.

Vincent Kompany also failed in Belgium though. In fact Parker and Kompany had similar careers except Parker had 2 promotions over Kompany's one. Parker might do well in the Premiership if he was managing one of the better teams. He obviously just can't handle being one of the bottom sides
