I was a kid when Reagan was president. He didn't really do a good job with the economy, but he did love this country and didn't take crap from our enemys.

The Best President REAGAN ever but DONALD TRUMP, who is fighting with and for the Americans, even though some of them have become enemies of liberties and free speech inside America, vowing for communism and socialism as Miracle solutions to our problems forgetting hundreds of millions who had died in those countries were those atrocious ideas were implemented.

In my early 20's I became a Republican because of Ronald Reagan. I believe his secret to success is that he truly loved his Country and its people. Whatever happened to the plan to declare a President Ronald Reagan day as a Natinal Holiday?

Awesome movie. In tears. I was a staunch Democrat during those years. But he made me listen and pay attention. Part of why I finally woke up.

I really wish I hadn't seen Quaid’s contorted explanation of his support for Trump before watching this movie. It’s baffling to think that someone who claims to have channeled Reagan could suggest that the man who famously declared 'tear down this wall,' with an optimistic vision for America and a reverence for democracy, shares 'the same principles' as someone who says Russia can do 'whatever the hell they want,' refuses to respect elections he loses, and wants to terminate the Constitution. That, combined with the amateur Reagan impersonation (Quaid's distinctive voice constantly breaking through) completely shattered the illusion for me and made it impossible to immerse myself in the film as I had hoped.

If the people knew the real story of Reagan, how and why he got into power, and the effects his policies had on the country in the decades since, there would be a very different movie made about him.

Does the movie talk about the war on drugs? Giving the states the green light to lock up thousands of minorities serving real time, like 10 to 15 in prison for a nickel bag of weed. If you survived that. If you weren't a criminal going in. You were sure one coming out. Clinton did nothing but triple the numbers of incarceration with heavier prison sentences.

Now, I lived through these times, but I was a kid. Kids don't typically follow politics at 7 years old. "Typically". I'm curious how much is Hollywood BS (Banana Split hahaha) and how much is real world stuff. I remember him getting shot, so that was real.

Great trailer and the song works. It is thematically correct (about world leaders in general of the time) and certainly clickbait. It doesn't mean Reagan wanted to. He had faith in God. The song would stir the dems to watch it. :) God bless America, and make it gear and healthy again!

Hollywood, have some RESPECT for the dead

Let’s hope this movie talks about the failure of reaganomics, how the crack epidemic destroyed black America, the failure of American-backed regimes in Central America, and Reagan’s overall incompetence as a president. But who are we kidding?! This movie will sugarcoat or ignore each of those things.

Wait! I was a teen when Ronald ran and this is set the wrong era!

Dennis Quaid is not as articulate as Reagan, and I mean in terms of how he speaks and forms words. He had trouble saying 'political' and other words that sounded like he was intoxicated. Its a speech thing that happens to some people as we get older. I have it myself. Just saying, would have been better with an actor who could form full sentences without stumbling over words. Reagan was almost perfect with his diction. Quaid sounds like a dumbed down version of Reagan. It distracts me from the movie. You dont have to replicate his voice and sound like Reagan in terms of voice tone and resonance, but you should sound smart when you talk and not be fumbling all over words coming out of your mouth.
