A lights on tour of our 2023 Haunted Garage, The Crypts. This haunt was mostly constructed in only 48 hours after I returned from an extended work trip, so it is not nearly as elaborate as we would have liked, but it came together nicely for what we had to work with. Enjoy! Music Credit: Labyrinth of Lost Dreams by Darren Curtis ua-cam.com/video/mLOQQLPPRL8/v-deo.html

A quick walkthrough of the 2023 Haunted Garage setup. Due due work travel commitments, I only had two days to set up this year's haunted garage, so it was not nearly as elaborate or detailed as I would have liked. However, in the dark it still looked decent and came together nicely for the short amount of time we were able to spend creating it. Happy Haunting!

I always look forward to your haunt video every year.I love how you do the set design on your haunts. It's fantastic
@@TomNicksMonsters thank you very much! Glad you enjoy the videos.
That was so much fun to watch. I got a chance to do a big yard display this year. Temporary space after a fire, but in the suburbs and across from a school. I lost count around 100 TOTs, and I got a lot of laughter and joy. I'd LOVE to do a walkthrough haunt, but the "real" house is on a city lot facing a main avenue. LOVE the neighbors helping out, and the ingenuity. Also like the lighting.
@@magic.marmot thank you so much for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome work mate!
@@The15091Bravo thank you!

Shut up buddy
Thank you!
That’s awesome! Great job
Thanks!
Did you use full height wall panels to make the spider and bat tunnels? I’m trying to figure out whether to turn an 8x4 panel on its side and arch paper over the top or to use an 8’ tall panel.
I used 2x4s of varying lengths and plywood or OSB to create a rough framework to attach the construction paper to. I didn't actually have many (or any) 8x4 panels at the time, I just had wood scraps I had picked up from various locations. You can see the backside of the spider tunnel at 9:27 in the video to get an idea of how sparce the wood panel usage was throughout the haunt. The 2x4 framework helped maintain the cave walls attached at the upper parts of the cave.
I saw one on tv in a haunted house that was vey realistic and shook violently, that one dropped several feet.
Where do you get the pencil-shaped LED lights? They seem great!
I’m trying to do a version of this. Did you duct tape the paper sections together or??
@@Pharsight I used a staple gun and a lot of staples to attach the cave walls to the framework as I recall.
@@scareatogascreamsWhile we’re on the subject , what kind/brand of lights are those pen sized lights? My AC floods for outside seem like overkill (and maybe dangerous since they’re. AC) and the FrightProps nano spots seem too weak.
This is great!!!
@@hazonku thank you! Glad you liked it.
Wow two days, nice.
That is the absolute best fire for a cauldron I've seen. I've seen a lot of tutorials for how to build the foam coals, but I always thought of how to do a fan with some silk or "flame material" from below. This is absolutely convincing that it is a real fire. Great job.
Thank you very much!
I love the old school haunted house vibe of this all. Love that tree. Gotta search your videos and see how you made them.
Thank you!
Aweaome i loved working in haunted houses when i was in my 20s.
5 years later and it’s still so cool to see you inspired me to do a cave this year i’ve always wanted to do one since this i first saw this im using the craft paper idea it looks amazing and we have a big space 20x60
That's fantastic! I hope everything turns out great for you!
We're doing a similar thing, but since I did a swamp last year and hated not to use the props, we're calling this an archeological dig and using the "Nazca Mummies'' that are in the news now (preserved possibly alien bodies - look it up!). After people get in the caves, we're having the lights go out, then there's an alien kind of thrumming sound, then people are 'transported' back into a time when aliens lived there and the laser swamp comes on with aliens emerging out of the fog/laser swamp. Should be terrifying.
@@Pharsight Awesome! i love haunts with stories especially unique ones!
Great job
Thank you!
Great job! Already excited to do one in my new home this year.
Thank you, and I wish you luck!
Yeah I’m digging this
That is awesome! Great job.
Thank you very much!
this is soo good, great design! awesome work!
Thank you very much!
that's great my friend and to get it done in 2 day WOW !! HFL!!
Thank you so much! Next year's will be much better, but we were very pleased with how it ended up since we only had the two days to work on it.
I wish their was a way to make water like that. Can you give me the names of those lights to make the fireplace please.
I love it! This is soooooo gooooooood
Thank you!
this is awesome! definitely deserves more views
Thanks Jerry!
Awesome haunt! What do you have your halogen lights screwed into? What kind of unit is it for halogen lights? Also I would really make sound but I have no idea how you did that… could you make a video on how to do sound?
I've been out of the haunting scene for a long while, but this season has rekindled my interest immensely. Following a link to one of your videos, I need to comment, to compliment, you and your team. My children used to help - made the experience much better. Y'all jammed a ton of quality into your walk through. The theme is great. The detail work is perfect for your display. The startles are top notch ... mostly actor activated. Truly impressive home haunt Gentlemen. I enjoyed every moment of your video tours. Looking forward to exploring your channel further. Thank you for sharing your work.
Thank you so much for the kind words. I got my start haunting our family's garage with my dad many years ago, and I've carried on the tradition with my own family. I hope you're able to create something awesome this haunt season as well!
Love this idea!
Thank you!
I was already planning for stuff for next year in my garage and randomly stumbled across your channel. Amazing work, can't wait to see what you do this year. How big is your garage?
Thanks Brad! I have a 3-car garage with high ceilings (about 14 feet I believe) so it provides me with a good amount of indoor space to work with. Unfortunately this year work has me traveling a lot so I was unable to do a garage haunt this Halloween season. Hopefully I'm back in full swing next year though!
This is amazing! I’m doing a haunted cabin for this year and was looking for some inspiration. This is way better than anything I can come up with though 😅😂
Thank you! I hope your cabin turns out just as amazing. I'd love to see how it turns out. If you post any pictures or videos please let me know.
Hello! Great idea! Could you give me exact model of pallet truck? :) I can't find model that shakes when max level of lifting is achived! :/
Thanks! As far as model of the pallet jack, it's currently buried in storage that I won't be able to get to for a few weeks so I can't get you exact details as of yet. I can tell you it is a Crown brand pallet jack, and by the looks of their website it appears to be a close match to the PTH 50 model. However, I purchased mine well-used, so I can't promise that a new model will do what mine does. I also think the pallet jack only shakes when it is fully-loaded with a lot of weight, so it might be possible that the jack needs to be lifting heavy objects first before it shakes at max height. Hope that helps!
I know I’m 4 years late but just wow, this is amazing
Thanks!
Do you make this to sell
No, I just made it for my own personal Haunt that I set up every year at my house for Halloween.
Truly epic
Thanks James! It was a lot of fun.
Hello! Your design is awesome and has been my guide for my first animated Halloween build. Thanks! I had a question on the wire that you used to reinforce the arm: What gauge wire is that? How is it sold, i.e. in rod lengths, rolls, etc?
Thanks! Sorry I didn't reply to this earlier. I think I located it in the metal section at Lowe's with some of their other metal rods, but to be honest it's been so long that I don't recall where it came from at this point. The larger hardware stores sell metal rods of various diameters, and as I recall I think I just selected the smallest diameter available (1/8 inch maybe?). I won't have that prop accessible to me in the near future or else I'd check and get you exact measurements on thickness. Hope that helps.
Awesome to see a fellow Utah haunted on here. This is cool!
Thanks Matt!
We made a haunted garage for the first time in 2021 and put on a show for the community for free. It was so much fun! I love how you built yours! Great Job!
Thank you! I also really enjoy it, glad it worked out for you!
Very cool :-)
