I did a whole Bethesda run from morrowind fallout to Skyrim. Went back to Starfield and I understand it now. It is a good game

3:03 Just started this quest line yesterday for the first time. Was great, I’m just about to start the daughter father questline

1:05 Honestly same sort of thing I did. I lasted a little longer, did majority or all of the UC quest line (the terramorphs). Went exploring, but because I was playing on cloud gaming, it kept on crashing and I kept on forgetting to save. I was set back two hours. I stopped playing after that. Randomly started playing the game two days ago and then realised the shattered space dlc. I loved the terramorph quest line. I’m now doing a bounty hunter playthrough.

I love Starfield. Home run in my book. Have over 500 hours in it

My problem with classic fallout that end game designed for maxed out plasma rifle build with power armour. Any other build is just savescaming especially melee. There are always more enemies and they have more total turns

I played and beaten both fallout 1 and 2 this year, and they are masterpieces.

Felt the same around that 100 hr mark, but play another 100 and let me know if you change your mind.

Also all old school RPGs being tough and hard - brother they came with a user manual so players knew what to do

I love how no one knows about the Master in universe because the Vault 13 Dweller was so disturbed he didn't really speak about him. Also, how do you even describe the Master? It's horrific.

The like to dislike ratio really just shows how people can't take a different opinion these days when it comes to gaming. So what if he likes Starfield? I really like it personally but I'm not gonna go disliking every video critical of it or hate on anyone. Heck, I watched another video just now that was very critical of it but well thought out and funny. Did I disagree with some points? Certainly, but he was entitled to his opinion too.

Been through the Unity 24 times, presently at level 242. Still loving the gameplay. Waiting patiently for Shattered Space DLC. The people that can't stand for others to have their own opinions are the trolls here, Melvin.

I really love the game now, when I first started the game a year ago I almost rage quit at least a dozen times, it was so buggy and was really trying to melt my CPU. But they fixed it, runs great now, not perfect but darn good. I'm kinda a space geek though, grew up with a dad who worked for an aerospace company so my whole bedroom was covered in space stuff. I spent hours drawing spaceships and battles, so this game just reached that inner child and instead of drawing soaceships im making them and exploring and having space battles. I have no doubt got my money's worth and now with modders this game will just get better and better like most of their games

the radahn we met at the dlc ( even his first phase ) would eat malenia for his lunch ... radahn obviously won the fight against malenia .. imagine 2 countries are in the war the one which is losing using a nuclear bomb thats not a win ... same happend to malenia .. she noticed she is losing and no chance against him so she nuked radahn ... yet he didnt die bayle also attacked placidusax and injured placidusax so bad but he realized the wise move is to run away... same story of malenia and radahn there is a reason they choosed radahn as the final boss of dlc and surely the hardest boss in souls games ... he is the mightiest of them all

"I'm not a fan of sci-fi or space games". See and that's part of the problem. So many critics have never even played a space game before (I mean a genuine space game. Like Elite, Freelancer, Star Citizen, X4 or even NMS) and are amazed to find that space isn't exactly exciting. Especially if you're coming from Elite. It's a different kind of setting. It doesn't help that Todd said Starfield is Skyrim in space. People expected a space fantasy on the scale of Star Wars and instead got Bethesda's version of the Expanse. Starfield is great, but a lot of people were completely misled. This is obvious because many of the criticisms they have with Starfield are present in pretty much every other genuine space game.

And cue the heel face turn lmao I think we're going to see more and more reviews like this. But yeah, I've loved Starfield since it released.

You're a breath of fresh air. Man, the worst thing you can do is say your opinion may be "controversial"; opinions are not controversial, they're just opinions. The toxic culture of gaming and our social media obsessed society in general wants to make us feel bad for expressing our opinions if they are not "popular", like somehow it's lame to love a game that "everyone" hates. I love a lot of unpopular games and I'd never for a moment feel embarrassed about that. I think Fallout 4 is the best of the entire Fallout franchise and I think Starfield is even better than Fallout 4, and I couldn't give a flying rat's ass if anyone agrees with me on that or not. I had never played a Bethesda game previous to this year, yet I’m having a blast playing Starfield. It’s a game for a more mature audience as there isn’t much sex, cursing, or drugs (from what I’ve seen), and it’s a really nice change of pace for someone like myself who also enjoys GTA. In Starfield the world isn’t out to get you, it’s waiting for you to explore it by meeting new people, forging new relationships, and getting thrown into unique situations. The choices I make during a quest-line have an affect on the outcome of the situation and also what other people believe or don’t believe, like the Terrormorph questline. Also, you receive exclusive spaceships, spacesuits, clothes, accessories, and official titles by completing these quests.

Thank you for making this video bc this game gets such a bad rep and it’s the reason I didn’t play it for such a long time. I’m a nerd who’s obsessed with astronomy and I was excited to check this game out. But when I finally got my Xbox Series X and I heard all the bad reviews, I decided not even bother. Then one day while another game was updating, I saw I had some extra space, so I said what the hell. The best decision I’ve made this year. I absolutely LOVE this game. I’ve had it for maybe 3 weeks and I’ve put it over 55 hours. It’s football season and I rather play this game than watch football. I abandon my own family during football season, and now I rather play Starfield. Just to give people perspective lol. So that’s why I can’t understand for the life of me some of the complaints this game has received. How can people say there’s nothing to do lmaoooo. There is nothing BUT things to do. You can’t even finish a mission without stumbling into 2 other missions you can do later. Love the customization. Love the variety of missions so you can mix it up. The details and lore are impeccable as well. Is the game perfect?? No. But the potential for this game is endless. They have built the foundation to add on to this game for years to come. 1000 worlds they can continue to build onto???? Can’t wait to see what more they come up with #TeamStarfield

I put the game down last year after 123 hours. I enjoyed it, for what it was. It's really interesting to hear you say that Neon was one of the best parts of it: I never went there, after all of my hours in the game. I'm really looking forward to playing it again once Shattered Space releases. I wonder if there's an "alternate start" mod, like I remember Skyrim having. It would be really cool to start on Neon, which would be totally new to me, without so much as a ship to get me off world. It would be really cool to have to earn that.

I disagree. I think the game is terrible. It has improved in some quality of life ways, but I don't think it fixed the core problems. That said, I enjoyed seeing what you liked about it. I did not find the writing or worldbuilding interesting or immersive but I did like Neon better than other areas. To me it fails even in comparison to most Bethesda games. The side content is definitely where it is at though! I found that avoiding random radiant quests and locations and focussing on the sidequests improved my experience a lot. (Also Arasaka and Ryujin both take their inspiration from classic cyberpunk writing which was full of 1980s economic fears about the power and influence of a strong Japan.)

The best part was the end of the main quest, because of how they reward you (no spoilers!).

I complete the main story and all the faction quest and i could say that starfield has the worst exloration possible. All the planets are the same and empty with the same assests and continuos loading screen. So far from the beauty of skyrim or fallout.

The problem I think people have is they expected the game to be something that it isn’t. This game isn’t made for everyone. But the audience that it is made for do really enjoy it. I personally love a lot about the game and I 100% agree with the criticism that is valid. Yes the exploration can be better and the main story could be better but damn man it’s a pretty good Bethesda game at the end of the day. I occasionally will return to this game every so often when I get the urge. The soundtrack is super underrated too.

The handcrafted parts are typical good old bethesda, the problem with starfield imo is that content is concentrated in the main hubs (as expected), and if you stray too far from them (quite easy in such a massive star-cluster) it's mainly repetitive/procedural slop. Core game is good, but it has a lot of distracting padding, not just on on the map but in the rpg-part as well, just look at some of the perks...
