I see all 👀 If you have followed correctly that is the true FOV same as if you would get a poor sense of speed if trying to drive from the back seat of a car. You need to reduce your distance to the monitor. Perhaps time to rethink the setup 👍🏻

@SamBull If you are comparing it to F1. It will be slower. I'd address the distance from screen issue. I sit around 60cm away.

I can't recall the temps of the top of my head, but I have had zero issues running extended sessions for over 24 hours.

The FOV you got is your true FOV. If you don't like it, move yourself closer, get bigger monitors etc. If you try to increase it you just miniaturise everything and defeat the point of the calculation.

@@TraumaTeamRacing is there no way to update the file? If I get bigger monitors as you suggest I will need to recalcute for the bigger width and height of the monitors which I would need to input into the spreadsheet then the actual file no?. Still seems like a loose loose situation

@yue1cool I don't understand what you are trying to change. If the file is stuck, try deleting the file and restarting the process. If you want a true larger FOV you will need to change the real life parameters.

I can confirm this guide still works. Try running it with both methods or failing that delete the configuration file or try a fresh install.

@BenchmarkGaming01 hi. Sorry no I didn't. I even changed the config file. But the game is forcing it back to as it was. Ended up deleting the game for now. If you work it out. Let us know.

Have you followed all of the guide and aligned things properly in NVIDIA?

My set up is more than enough to run this. It is poorly optimised and has improved some what with the most recent patch. The VR implementation of F1 24 is incredibly poor in comparison to the other sims and when compared is not a satisfactory experience. I am happy you are enjoying it 👍🏻

I would always advocate for flats as I think they are easier to set up and I don't see the benefit of a curved set up personally. However, if this is what you have you should not have a problem.

I mainly race with headphones at present due to my streaming. However I do also have a 5.1 surround system. This is wired up with an optical cable directly into the motherboard. This is a good idea for a video. I will add this to my to do list! Thank you 👍🏻

Awesome news mate! I would always recommend measuring on your own rig. The pedal deck on here is the old model, so might not be relevant to you. Make sure you measure the underside edge to edge. Good luck with your build 👍🏻

@@TraumaTeamRacing I actually have the exact same rig as yourself, hence I thought maybe you could tell me the plate is for instance 300mmx300mm or something? One last question... can you distinctly feel the left/right vibrations with your current configuration? I'm rather interested in feeling the curbs when hitting them on either side... More so than just a general vibration coming from the bottom of the seat.

You get better distinction between effects the more shakers you have. If you try running 3 effects through one shaker it gets muddy. It allows a much clearer differentiation. The shakers will tend to vibrate the whole chair, difficult to feel the distinction. This was also the same with side mounting. Hope that helps 👍🏻
